Second time visiting Maria's and it is definitely one of the best taco shops around. I ordered carnitas, asada, and chorizo tacos and they were all overflowing with meat. Everything tasted so fresh, and they were attentive to my request for no cilantro. I also really liked the charred tomatillo sauce that was served with the tacos along with plenty of limes! The sauce added great flavor without adding too much heat. This time I tried the rice, and it was so flavorful - I'd love to know what seasonings they use to make it that delicious. Really good & friendly service, and a pleasant dining area. I also noticed today that they have a cute outdoor area as well, with picnic tables for warmer weather. The new management at Maria's is doing a great job! If you haven't tried it yet, you should definitely stop by soon!

Went here last week for cinco de mayo. I knew it would be busy but decided to give it a try. They…read moresaid it would be a 30ish minute wait. Understandable. BF and I got a couple margs and waited outside. 40 mins goes by so I go in and check. They say it'll be another 20ish mins. 30 mins goes by and they say another 30 mins. Pretty hangry at this point. Again, I get its cinco de mayo. We finally get seated more than an hour and a half later. We order the guac and tortilla chips as an app. Guac wasn't bad. Chips were stale like they were out all day of cinco de mayo. My BF orders steak tacos as his entree. I order the Cochinita Pibil. "Slow cooked pork in achiote. Served with rice, beans and tortillas". We finally get that 30 mins later. His tacos were subpar to say the most. Quote "I wouldn't get tacos here again". My dish was the BLANDEST meal I've ever had in my life. It tasted like nothing. I was visibly upset when the waitress finally walked by 15 mins later and told her I couldn't eat it. She asked if I wanted something else so I told her I'd just have the steak tacos because I was starving at this point. She then asked if I wanted a box for the entree I originally ordered and I said no because it didn't taste good at all and neither of us would eat it. She began to walk away and I politely asked if she would still charge me for the cochinita pibil and she said yes so I told her I wouldn't want anything else and to just give us the check once my bf was done with his meal. She didn't pay attention to me the rest of the time we were there. She did end up charging us for that bland plate. Pretty sad. I regret not asking to talk to someone because I guarantee no one in that kitchen would have enjoyed it either, as they were all Hispanic from what I could tell. I myself am Central American so I know authentic dishes. Sad to say I will not be going back there. Good luck!

More recently I learned that their burritos are great but the size of a small child so order when you're hungry! Staff is always friendly and the space is quiet and comfortable. This place! We met 2 of our favorite people here for dinner…read morelast night.... What a great place! The queer o meter is a solid 10. The staff were all wonderful, kind people. The pics speak for themselves I think. The drinks are huge and let me say they have a heavy pour there. They even let me tweak their spicy drink to make it a weird version of a Bloody Mary. the salsa and chips are complimentary, which I love. And both delicious. The chips are thin lightly salted and warm! Yes!!! I got the fajita. It was exactly what I was expecting and wanted. Nicely seasoned tender steak and chicken strips on slightly charred onions and peppers. If I had to complain here, it'd be I like a ton of onions and peppers. Their's is more meat heavy. Not really compliant though, am I right?! Everyone else enjoyed their meals and I have to say it's a ton of food. Not the cheapest place but I feel fair for what you get and yummy. With 7 boozy drinks, 4 entrees and couple extra "side items" ie. A horchata etc it came to about $50pp. It would've been 1/2 that without the boozy drinks for sure. Anyhoo.... Do I recommend? Absolutely! We will be back to eat and drink up another evening until our hearts content. In the meantime, enjoy your meals and... CHEERS!

We stopped in on a Friday night while we were in the area and I'm so glad we did! We've been to…read moreCondesa's other location in Smithfield before and had a great meal there so figured we couldn't go wrong here. Upon entering, they have a nice outdoor area to eat with playful decor that makes you feel like you're in Mexico! We were seated immediately, but we must've just gotten there at the right time cause they were so packed! Our waitress brought over water and chips and salsa and gave us a few moments to review the menu. We ordered drinks, a steak quesadilla, and the rib eye tacos and fish tacos. Food came out quick and the staff were incredibly attentive. The steak quesadilla was yummy but I wish they had the sour cream and salsa or something on the side for it. It was only drizzled on top but since they were overlapping, it didn't feel like there was enough. But that's 10000% just personal preference! it was still very delicious! The cabo fish tacos were so yummy, we got them fried and they had a good crisp to is. But the star was the rib eye tacos. SO good! the green guacamole sauce that comes with it paired so well with the rib eye flavor. Hands down my favorite of the night! both orders of tacos also came with beans and rice. We definitely had leftovers for the next day! Highly recommend this location! Staff was incredible, parking is easy, food was great!
