The Carnitas taco was delicious, but for $7.15, I can make several pounds of outstanding shredded pork butt. The Birria taco ($8.25) was less enjoyable, as the beef was dry and really could have used some consommé (which is usually served with Birria...but not here). Both tacos were a single corn tortilla, which quickly became too soggy to support the filling. Despite the small operation, which does a lot of takeout, counter service was fairly quick. The ambiance is perhaps best described as quaint food truck/street fare made with love...at fine dining prices.

They served us salsa that tastes like they opened up a can of horrible enchilada sauce, added tomato paste and a few tomatoes NEVER have I ever tasted anything like it, nor would I ever like to again. That was NOT salsa...matter of fact, it was so gross, I pray they do not put it on any of their dishes either! YUCK! I'm not sure what kind of a fever dream these folks were having when they thought of this concoction and decided to call it salsa, but someone has to tell them they're so wrong for this and I guess that someone is me! They did something to the queso the prior queso was one of the biggest reasons we went there. Not anymore It's like they just took some White Velveeta and watered it down with milk with a splash of canned green chilies or whatever was floating around. The only thing that made that palatable was requesting pico de gallo and mixing it in with the "queso". My friend and Iand my children love going in there to share the flautas.... Yet another disappointment! They're chicken was so wet, it made the inside super soggy and then they added cheese inside. I don't know who the new owners are, but I don't even have to ask anyone if the new owners are white ‍ You just KNOW they are. They even removed all of the vibrant, festive, colorful decor hanging from the ceiling and all around and replaced it with drab, medieval star things.... I mean, this isn't Hispanic food! It's not even a close cry to being Tex-Mex, either. It's almost as if they're trying to put that place out of business on purpose. Hope they can get their act together! I'd like to suggest they get a hold of the old owners and buy some recipes off of them!

As I approached the counter, the cashier didn't greet me. Instead, she glared at me like I had personally insulted her grandmother. I asked, politely, if they were still serving soup. Her response? A single word "Obviously" followed by the slowest, most exaggerated eye roll I've ever witnessed outside of a soap opera. But it didn't stop there. I ordered a green tea. The barista threw the cup on the counter so hard it bounced, and when I asked if I could please have a lid, she sighed like I'd asked her to rewrite the Magna Carta. Another staff member nearby whispered under her breath, "He looks like a lid kinda guy," followed by laughter. What does that even mean? Then brace yourself my buzzer went off, so I went up to grab my food. The manager, who looked like she was on her third existential crisis of the morning, yeeted the entire tray onto the pickup counter and yelled, "WHO ORDERED THE BASIC?" Everyone turned to look. I was the only one there. The sandwich was wrong, the soup was cold, and the bread bowl looked like it had been hollowed out by a raccoon with anger issues. When I politely asked for a new one, they handed me a raw baguette and told me to "figure it out." As I sat down, a toddler from the next table looked me in the eye and said, "You should've gone to Chipotle." I did. And it was glorious. Never again, Panera on Old Tower Hill Rd. Never. Again.

I ate here a few times and was disappointed! Coming from California I expect good Mexican food, but the tacos and burritos taste watered down, and the beans taste like they came out of a can! Not impressed and was let down! I love Mexican food but the food here I'm all set with! I'll have to wait till I go back to California! To get real Mexican food! read more

SO good! the green guacamole sauce that comes with it paired so well with the rib eye flavor. Hands down my favorite of the night! both orders of tacos also came with beans and rice.
