There are plenty of Mexican restaurants around Rhode Island serving very similar menus, and the differences often come down to execution more than originality. That's not a knock on this place. It's simply the reality of the genre. The food here was solid, well prepared, and satisfying, even if there wasn't one particular dish that made me think, "I've never had anything like this before." Where El Tapatio really stood out was the service.
