Nopales salad - very good and fresh

So nice to visit again! And indulge in our fave dishes (and satisfy those cravings ...) Excellent friendly and attentive service. We started with queso fundido (so indulgently cheesy and tasty) and chips & refried beans. Then we had various types of tacos: I had the barbacoa, carnitas, and the chicken (which I'd never had before). All were good (but next time, I'll pass on the chicken for the shredded pork or beef). Unfortunately, our all-time favorite - lengua - was unavailable due to the current high cost of beef tongue. (Hopefully, once the Fed stops raising rates and pushes inflation back down, lengua will be affordable enough for these savory street tacos ...). My wife's mushroom quesadillas were also very good. This time we tried something new: the ensalada de nopales. This was very flavorful (muy picante!) and delicious. We will be adding this to our favorites list!

    Cheers! Salud!

I wasn't expecting peas in every dish but not a big deal, a little pricey the prices are not the same online. It's very decorative inside wasn't very many people there's a small bar too. If I was to suggest a plate I would suggest the carne asada burrito and if you don't like peas be sure to mention that!

Great service, great food. Super clean and straight forward. I can't believe I lived in this city for 18 years and have never come here before. I am so looking forward to my next visit!

Cool little spot with authentic Mexican food. Fast service, great prices and delicious cocktails. It's quite small and somewhat cozy. To be honest, everything on the menu looks good. My garlic shrimp had the perfect amount of seasoning, the rice taste great and all the veggies were fresh but chicken was a bit bland. They have some of the best chips I've tasted, grade A guacamole.. it's A must have appetizer. I do think they should have a hostess, it was a bit awkward when I walked in with no one to greet me but overall I'd come again. Street parking only. I'll rate it 4.5 stars based on the service, food and drinks. I'm Not a fan of the location.

Used to go here all the time back in the day. I stopped going because there are comparable and cheaper Mex options in town. Can't remember why my wife and I decided to go back the other night, but it might be because my wife loves their potato quesadillas and needed a fix. Anyway, we sat at the bar and had 2 really tasty frozen mango Margaritas. We split some chips which are served on a thin bed of refried beans (nice touch). Along with the potato quesadillas, we had 3 rolled tacos (taquitos) which were also served on a thin bed of refried beans. Anyway, the place hasn't changed much. Quaint and pretty clean. The food is still really good and the prices are still a little more than other comparable options. That said, they serve some unique dishes that will probably bring us back again.

I've been coming to this restaurant for years for the great food and service. the service still great but the food quality is bad. I told our waiter how rubbery and fatty my carne asada was and showed her the plate but all she did was apologize. I was not expecting free food but to have the meat replaced and it was not. Not good for business...

The restaurant itself is nicely decorated and has a massive and well stocked bar. We were seated next to the bar and window and I will say that it made for a pretty loud experience. Nothing they can necessarily do about that though. Our waitress was attentive and had great recommendations for food. I ordered the iced tea and the "incredible burrito". Our food came out quickly and I was impressed by the portion sizes and quality of the food. If I had to give a minor criticism is that I felt the plate was actually a bit too small for the meal. Everything kind of melded together and fell off the plate. However, everything else was great. The rice was plentiful and had a nice flavor. The chili was a great addition and the burrito itself was filled well and I enjoyed the chicken and beef. This is definitely a place I would come back to, and with such an expansive menu there's something different you could try each time you come in.

We had a cheese quesadilla and a two item Mezclar y combinar to share, and took some of it home. For drinks we had an Agave Mule and a non-alcoholic beer. The check came to $47. The service was good at the late evening time. The food was decent but not memorable. I am not sure as to when we will return.

The menu is small and yet there's always plenty of yummy things to try when I go, even as a picky eater. There are multiple vegetarian and even a vegan option or two. I always have to get the guac when I come here - it's the perfect amount of creaminess without too much onion. Their red salsa is a great slightly chunky - slightly juicy texture and has a bit of a kick. The vegan burrito bowl is my go-to as a vegetarian, and the street corn side as an app is elite! It is a little spicier these days since the recipe was updated from on the cob to off the cob (I much prefer off for ease of eating and sharing!) The Coconut Cartel margarita was creamy and smooth and went down *quick* haha. Others in my party loved the spicy Margarito, although they were out of the main spicy tequila but the servers offered substitute recommendations. I came with a very large work group today, and the servers were so patient and flexible when we asked for modifications from the menu. I even was able to order the queso dip with the chorizo on the side (yummy but very thick cheese dip!), and they were very attentive of my colleague's mushroom allergy and made sure she got dedicated dishes, even when we were all sharing apps. The churro donuts seem to have changed recipe and got mixed reviews - some thought they were dry, another says she Uber Eats just those regularly Sitting outside in the summer on the patio is nice. Tasty, interesting dishes with modern urban twists on Mexican recipes. Truly the only slight downside is that sometimes parking can be tricky in this area, but you can always find free street parking, it may just take you a little bit. Even the funky and creative decor is a selling feature for me. A must-try!

We ordered the chips and guac for 14.50, which comes with beans and salsa, and says says free refills (menu attached). We asked for one refill of beans and one of guac. When we got the bill, we were supposed to see charges for the beans and guac. Our server explained that the free refills were only for the chips and salsa. We asked to see a menu again and pointed out that it says free refills. Our server contacted the owner/manager who doubled down on the misleading statement and charged us for both refills (total of 10.50 additional cost). It's really a bummer because I had read a bunch of reviews on here and my takeaway is that the food is great but the management leaves something to be desired. Be upfront with your customers! It's a great restaurant with delicious food, I'm glad small businesses exist, and I wish that we had been treated with more grace and honesty. Losing $10 on your end (or even just being upfront and stating the refill policy on the menu) is well worth it for a positive customer experience. I would have loved to give this place 5 stars but took 1 off for the misleading pricing and another for the way that it was handled by the manager.
