He absolutely loves the dog pool parties, yard time, and group play with other dogs, but one of my favorite things as a pet parent is getting photo updates of his one-on-one enrichment sessions. Whether it's a cuddle session, a game of fetch, or some extra love and attention, it means the world to me to see him so engaged and joyful! Those updates are such a special touch, and they make me feel like I'm right there with him. The staff at Lucky Dog Pet Resort is amazing. They're kind and you can tell they genuinely care about every single dog. It doesn't feel like just another boarding facility, it feels like Sam is staying with people who know him and love having him there. The facility itself is beautiful, clean, secure, and clearly designed with dogs in mind. The play yards, pool area, and even the enrichment activities are what make Lucky Dog feel like a true luxury pet resort. I honestly wouldn't take Sam anywhere else! Sarah, the trainer, had the perfect background credentials, self-confidence and philosophy so I signed up my dog to be trained by her at the dog resort. The protocols for safety (physically and emotionally) at the facility are outstanding. Soon,I met with Sarah and she developed a training proposal which I approved. My dog came home from daycare TIRED and less clingy each time he went there. When his training was complete, I was shown how to do the trainer's commands and motions and now my dog's demeanor in our home and in public is calmer and our relationship is at a new level of trust and respect (both ways). I feel very pleased with both Lucky Dog and Sarah and highly recommend both for both daycare, boarding and training

We have been customers for a number of years and every single time we end up, waiting a minimum of…read more40 minutes, but normally up to an hour! This last time was the final straw: I got to chatting to some other dog owners and a cat owner in the waiting room and my dog's appointment was scheduled for 10:30 AM and we got there at 10:25 AM. I had to circle the parking lot and go back onto the main road numerous times before my appointment because there was no parking available. I still managed to get there five minutes early for my dogs very simple suture removal appointment. I ended up not leaving until 11:15 AM. While talking with the other pet owners, one lady mentioned that she was early for her appointment and that her dog wasn't supposed to be seen until 11:15 AM, to which the Kat owner said he was also early. Both her dog and the cat got seen before my dog's simple suture removal appointment which was scheduled 45 minutes before their pets!? That is absolutely unacceptable. Will be transferring all records to a more well, run and efficient practice.

I cannot begin to explain the amount of relief from anxiety training my dogs with Ricky has brought me. No amount of therapy could touch how I felt previously. I have learned patience, clear communication (with my dogs), and appreciation of the minds ability to change after years and years of ingrained unwanted behaviors. Ricky does not sell a one size fits all package - each of my dogs are VERY different, and while the fundamental approaches and concepts in training are the same - the method and timing in which we applied and reinforced these were vastly different. Ricky is able to connect with two leggers and four leggers alike - he gives clear feedback to dogs and human and uses metaphors that we humans understand (driving the speed limit and getting speeding tickets haha) on how the concepts of his approach effects dog behavior. I couldn't be happier. I am humble and I know I need to continue management (and one of my dogs I am holding to higher standard so we are going to continue our own sessions based on what I have learned) but my dogs are completely different. I'm getting complimented by family, friends, and people on walks - impressed with how well behaved my dogs are. I smile and tell them "thank you it's lots of continued hard work" and move along. This morning in particular we walked during trash pick up, had lots of people distractions, and both dogs stayed heeled and attentive to me on their separate walks. Do not hesitate to consider Ricky for your training needs. Also, if you feel alone with your dogs behavior - please know you are anything but alone. The fact you are looking at reviews for dog trainers is a clear indicator that you want the best for your dog and intend to give them them best. :)

I was shocked when Orcutt Vet told me they could perform the same surgery for one-third of the price I had been quoted elsewhere. That was the moment I realized I had finally found a vet I could trust. Since then, I've brought my newest rescue dog in for an eye surgery, which again was priced very fairly. One thing I appreciate most is their transparency: they always explain which costs are essential and which are optional, and they have never made me feel guilty or ashamed when I've needed to stay within a budget. I have another surgery coming up for my cat, and once again the pricing is extremely reasonable. On top of all that, they gave my senior Cocker Spaniel mix what I call a "miracle shot" that completely stopped her itching. I had tried everything--different foods, shampoos, supplements--and nothing worked until this. If your dog struggles with itchy skin, I can't recommend this place enough. This review is for my experience over the phone with Lori , I have not visited the clinic…read more My pup wasn't doing well. He was shaking, vomiting, had a lack of appetite, and bloody stool. He's a little guy, so he tends to go downhill quickly if he doesn't get treatment quickly. The vet I typically use said they couldn't see him until 3 days later, even after explaining his symptoms. I didn't want to make my pup suffer that long and I was really concerned because it was getting progressively worse rather quickly. I called local vets. Some weren't taking new patients, some didn't have any openings, some weren't friendly or informative over the phone when I called. I called Lompoc Veterinary Clinic, they could not see him HOWEVER, Lori couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. She was so patient and gave me a long list of other local vets & numbers to try. I was very appreciative of her extra efforts and her caring manner. Not long after my conversation with her she called me back telling me she forgot one other option. She totally went the extra mile and my pet isn't even a patient at this clinic. I'm so grateful to Lori because that phone call made all the difference. I called that last option she gave me and it was EXACTLY what I was looking for. It's VERY rare these days where a business does what they're getting paid to do, even more rare when they're going above and beyond without getting paid for it! I SO appreciate Lori's kindness, thoughtfulness, and her going the extra mile. This is exactly the type of service I would love for my fur baby to receive. So while I have not had the opportunity to visit this clinic, I would not hesitate to recommend them based on the EXCELLENT service I received over the phone by Lori. Very grateful. Thank you !
