They worked daily with our dog at Doggie Camp for 28 days and never gave up on her. All of the staff told us how much they loved her and can't wait to have her back for daycare and boarding! We appreciated the detailed weekly reports on how she was doing. As a camper grad, we also have free private lessons at the facility for her lifetime! This last time was the final straw: I got to chatting to some other dog owners and a cat owner in the waiting room and my dog's appointment was scheduled for 10:30 AM and we got there at 10:25 AM. I had to circle the parking lot and go back onto the main road numerous times before my appointment because there was no parking available. I still managed to get there five minutes early for my dogs very simple suture removal appointment. I ended up not leaving until 11:15 AM. While talking with the other pet owners, one lady mentioned that she was early for her appointment and that her dog wasn't supposed to be seen until 11:15 AM, to which the Kat owner said he was also early. Both her dog and the cat got seen before my dog's simple suture removal appointment which was scheduled 45 minutes before their pets!? That is absolutely unacceptable. Will be transferring all records to a more well, run and efficient practice.

I cannot begin to explain the amount of relief from anxiety training my dogs with Ricky has brought me. No amount of therapy could touch how I felt previously. I have learned patience, clear communication (with my dogs), and appreciation of the minds ability to change after years and years of ingrained unwanted behaviors. Ricky does not sell a one size fits all package - each of my dogs are VERY different, and while the fundamental approaches and concepts in training are the same - the method and timing in which we applied and reinforced these were vastly different. Ricky is able to connect with two leggers and four leggers alike - he gives clear feedback to dogs and human and uses metaphors that we humans understand (driving the speed limit and getting speeding tickets haha) on how the concepts of his approach effects dog behavior. I couldn't be happier. I am humble and I know I need to continue management (and one of my dogs I am holding to higher standard so we are going to continue our own sessions based on what I have learned) but my dogs are completely different. I'm getting complimented by family, friends, and people on walks - impressed with how well behaved my dogs are. I smile and tell them "thank you it's lots of continued hard work" and move along. This morning in particular we walked during trash pick up, had lots of people distractions, and both dogs stayed heeled and attentive to me on their separate walks. Do not hesitate to consider Ricky for your training needs. Also, if you feel alone with your dogs behavior - please know you are anything but alone. They start with a high price shot and if you say no they come up with something else. In my case they said my kitten needed antibiotics and charged me $52. The next day I went to another vet and was told to throw them away, they weren't necessary. The shelter has other choices for the free first exam. I have no idea how they are but regardless I would not go to orcutt veterinary hospital.​

He's a little guy, so he tends to go downhill quickly if he doesn't get treatment quickly. The vet I typically use said they couldn't see him until 3 days later, even after explaining his symptoms. I didn't want to make my pup suffer that long and I was really concerned because it was getting progressively worse rather quickly. I called local vets. Some weren't taking new patients, some didn't have any openings, some weren't friendly or informative over the phone when I called. I called Lompoc Veterinary Clinic, they could not see him HOWEVER, Lori couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. She was so patient and gave me a long list of other local vets & numbers to try. I was very appreciative of her extra efforts and her caring manner. Not long after my conversation with her she called me back telling me she forgot one other option. She totally went the extra mile and my pet isn't even a patient at this clinic. I'm so grateful to Lori because that phone call made all the difference. I called that last option she gave me and it was EXACTLY what I was looking for. It's VERY rare these days where a business does what they're getting paid to do, even more rare when they're going above and beyond without getting paid for it! I SO appreciate Lori's kindness, thoughtfulness, and her going the extra mile. This is exactly the type of service I would love for my fur baby to receive. Manny our Springer was facing something scary (an undiagnosed neuromuscular disease that left him quadriplegic) and the staff balanced their enthusiasm and hopefulness for him with knowledge and a respectful realism that never promised "miracles." With hard work (and a lot of treats) Manny was able to make a full recovery.
