Our puppy attended Camp for 4 weeks and came back home with basic skills that we can work with to make him a well behaved part of our family!!! Their program is very well planned out and explained from the time we took our first tour to the day they delivered our puppy home. We felt very comfortable that he was being treated well and yet firmly controlled to teach him to behave. Be sure to understand that as owners, you must follow through when the puppy comes home. We had the trainer bring him home (optional, small extra charge) to do the "hand off." The trainer spent about 5 hours with us going over what he had learned and how to follow through. This can also be done onsite, and is an essential part of their program. The facility is nice, clean and well run and we look forward to taking our puppy back for boarding and possibly grooming when needed. They give a discount on boarding if you've been to Camp. I thought I was going to have a good experience and solid training with Doggy Do Good. I dropped Mia off for a week of boarding and training, specifically asking them to focus on her growing reactivity. Unfortunately, when she came home, I noticed a concerning change -- she seemed even more protective and reactive than before. I'm very upset with the outcome. I do really like Isaac, and I appreciate his kindness, but because of this experience, I will not be returning or taking another dog there. If I could capture it all in one word, I guess I'd say it was transformative. In the most positive sense of the word. We dropped off our two Dachshund puppies (Jules and V for training camp to help us get the two boys a solid foundation. Dachshunds are notoriously stubborn and Doggie Do Good cracked the code! In addition, the staff was extremely fun to work with and while the pickup/transfer process is long, it's fun and absolutely necessary. We can all be grateful (especially our dogs) that he decided to put his talents toward training animals. The training that our pups received over the weeks that they were with Isaac and the Doggie Do Good team was nothing short of transformative. When we dropped them up, they were rescue puppies who had been through quite a long and difficult journey on their way to being our fur children and were untrained and anxious (particularly with respect to being separated from us). They emerged from Doggie Do Good with more confidence than we have ever seen in most adult dogs, completely obedient of the practical and easily-enforceable commands that they had been taught, and with beautiful personalities that were endemic of the amount of love they had received every day since we dropped them off. After you receive your dogs post-training (at their facility or at your home via their amazing drop-off service), you may expect that your training experience/relationship with a service like this would end. We are thrilled to report that that is not the case with Doggie Do Good. It's quite the opposite. When your pups finish "camp", you all become part of the DDG extended family, and the staff and trainers (like Isaac for us) continue to check in with you regularly to see how your dogs are adapting and progressing. Again, you can clearly tell how much love exists with Doggie Do Good because the staff genuinely misses being around your pup(s) after they return them to you. I can't recommend Doggie Do Good enough!! It was worth every penny to send our girls here. One of our girls Sage was reactive to other dogs and would lunge, bark, and redirect aggression. Our other dog Shasta was difficult to train basic commands and didn't have great recall. We tried everything with Sage to help her be more dog neutral, but couldn't breakthrough. Doggie Do Good spent 8 hours with our dogs for 3 weeks. (Time we didn't have to give to our girls for training) You get to select items on a wish list and talk them over with a trainer for them to work on. Throughout their stay you get report cards based on their progress along with really cute pics! I appreciated that Doggie Do Good staff were responsive with questions and had updates on our girls along the way! The transfer day is full of so much information and it is truly up to the owner to make sure your dog practices training everyday. They go through each command that was on your wish list and essentially train you on how to train your dog. I was most impressed with Sage and how she could be near other dogs without lunging and walk past others without a reaction. It has been over two months since we got our girls back and it has been such a blessing to have well trained dogs that; come when called, stop barking when asked, can go to their bed, down stay at restaurants, understand the word "no" and so much more! We were able to take both girls to a beach (with many many distractions) and had perfect behavior from them. Shasta broke from chasing a ball to the "come" command. Sage walked in an off leash heel when another dog came by, and both were so eager to please and knew what was expected of them. This is something we never would've been able to do without Doggie Do Good. If you have questions the trainers are a phone call away to guide you, or you can schedule an hour training appointment as a review for you and your doggo. We are forever thankful for the Doggie Do Good staff team. They get to know each dogs personality and cater training to each one. I took my dog, Koda, for behavioral/aggression suppression and separation anxiety for 28 days. I initially opted to do the 21 day camp and when I received the update a few days beforehand, I opted to leave him an additional 7 days because the trainer said, "He's getting it." That meant he hadn't gotten it yet. I needed him to get it. I adopted him just three weeks before dropping him off to camp. He started off fine and progressively got worse over the three weeks I had him. Additionally, I couldn't leave him in his crate and walk away except at bedtime. He'd bark nonstop until he wore me down. He charged my front door at every noise, scaring the 'you know what' out of not just whomever he could see from the front door, but myself as well. He was so scary. NOT toward me, but I could not control him or get him to back away. The last straw came when he jumped at the screen door and tore it open. He was halfway out to get the person on my porch when I caught him. I shoved him in the house and slammed the door. I was set to return him to the shelter. I changed gears at the last moment and took him to: Doggie Do Good, instead. Isaac was amazing! DO NOT let his youthful appearance fool you. He knows what he's doing. My dog flew out of my vehicle at he and the other two workers. We walked to the end of the driveway and Isaac asked for his leash. I was thinking... "Okaaaay"! Koda, looked at him, the leash and over at me, back to Isaac again and off they went. I gave it over a month since his return from camp to see how he was over time and if I could actually stop/redirect him. I'm still blown away, because he's a completely different dog!! He still charges the front door and has such an ear-splitting bark, but I can stop and redirect him now. On walks, when he fixates on someone or another dog, I give him preemptive commands to leave it. I've used a regular colar/leash, prong collar, and the E-Collar. During one incident, he had the e-collar on and launched at someone just standing at the side of the trail for us to pass. The woman screamed, I caught him mid-air, pressed the shock (I'd used the beep preemptively), I scared the 'you know what' out of all of us because I yelled "NO!" repeatedly and shocked him each time. He dropped to the ground. (Don't freak out people... it's on level 1. I've used it on me to see how it feels and it's a tiny shock). I gave him positive affirmation just a short distance away. He has NOT done that again. He continues to improve with time. I am in this for the long haul with him and I thank God for: Doggie Do Good!!! read more

I have numerous issues with my experience with Doggie Do Good: 1) My dog came back having lost A LOT of weight. He was only there for 3 weeks but was noticeably way thinner. When I asked them about it, they just brushed it off as normal. 2) I had to HOUND them for checkins along the way. They schedule some up front with you, but they would miss our call times and I would have to hunt them down. Then when I actually did get someone on the phone, the people who did the checkin calls weren't even the same people who were training him so they couldn't answer any of my questions. 3) The biggest one for me was they really felt manipulative. They told me they couldn't help unless I okayed them using a shock collar despite me telling them that made me uncomfortable. And they knew I was at the end of my rope when it came to my dog's aggression and that I had tried numerous other options. So I signed off but it felt terrifying signing off on literal college kids (which is who is with the dogs most of the time) using a shock collar whenever they want to. Most importantly, nothing changed. I spent SO MUCH money to have someone work with my baby but nothing changed. I even paid for an extra week because they said he needed it. Doggie Do Good took amazing care of my terrier. When I dropped her off, she had horrible separation anxiety and zero manners. She would jump on everyone and just generally be a nightmare. Just got her back after three weeks of training and am so thankful they have taught her commands and an understanding of what she's doing wrong so even when she slips, I know how to correct her and we can live together harmoniously. The graduation training session with Isaac (who's so great) was unbelievably thorough--four hours of learning exactly what to do moving forward. Let me start by saying we have a Shiba Inu. Shibas are known to be super smart but they are also super stubborn, aloof, and work on their own terms no matter who you are -- fellow Shiba owners know exactly what I'm talking about. While he's made improvments with our own home training, his recall was a zero out of 100. We've researched, and looked into Doggie Do Good but were still reluctant to spend that much on something that may or may not work on our Koa. After a family friend told us about their experience with Doggie Do Good (a non Shiba owner) we decide to take the leap of faith -- especially when Doggie Do Good had a special on their pricing. Three weeks is their standard camp duration, but on the third week we were offered a fourth week to better hone his new behaviors. While some might think of this as a "scam" for more money, we decided to go with an addition week. I didn't want to waste the money already invested. I figured we were this far in we might as well go for it, plus we wanted to make sure the new behaviors stick. We got weekly updates from Doggie Do Good regarding imrovements, and they gave him grades. Started with a C- ended at a B+. They tracked his weight meticulously, and any dropping of weight we were quickly notified and it was quickly remedied with our approval. For example, adding wet food, chicken broth, or nutrical to his kibble to entice better eating. They were patient, and even tried feeding him in different feeding areas like outside or by himself. We all learned Koa is a social eater. Transfer day was a long day. So be prepared to spend your entire day there, and definitely wear a hat and sunscreen! Our transfer day had 4 dogs total.... Which meant 4 different families asking their own personal questions and concerns for their dog to ONE trainer. Two of the four families were from out of town - ie. atleast a 3+ hour drive. While our transfer trainer, Hannah was absolutely awesome-- she was super attentive, answered all the questions, concerns, and provided all of us individual training when we asked, I felt that it was a lot for her to handle 4 families. Mind you we were there at 10AM with a 1 hr lunch break -- by 4PM most of the families had checked out mentally, we ended the transfer session at 5pm. Id like to suggest, 2 no more than 3 dogs per 1 transfer trainer. Aside from transfer day being a long day, our Shiba has been transformed! He listens and comes when we call him, his recall went from a zero to 89 (B+). He still tries to play deaf, afterall he is still a SHIBA. His "stay" is held longer, his "heel" is outstanding, and his "leave it" is impressive! We are truly thankful for the help from the professionals at Doggie Do Good! I'm glad to say the training stick too she's been well behaved at home but we have been continuing her training for about 10 minutes daily. Her trainers Angelique and Hanna were amazing. My sweet boy Jake is a rescue and came home with some aggression and reactivity. He attended DDG's camp for 3 weeks and made SO much progress in that time. However, the thing that continues to impress me about DDG is their commitment to their dogs. Post-camp Jake has unfortunately been attacked by off-leash dogs more than once, which inevitably sets him back into a reactive cycle. Each time, DDG has quickly set up a private lesson review for him. Isaac specifically has been a miracle worker with him. In under an hour, Isaac gets him from freaking out about even seeing another dog to being able to happily walk along next to another dog. Cannot say enough good things about Isaac and the whole DDG team! read more
