Spoke with Katie the owner and while she seemed concerned she later informed me she wasn't sure where the injuries came from and could do nothing .. As I hadn't taken her to a vet. Didn't Not Even Get An Apology. Please if you love yout fur baby please don't take them there there. The folks at Creekside pet boarding are so amazing! I take my doggo there from time to time and they know her and take such special care of her. There have been times that she has been nervous around too many other dogs and they so kindly notice and have her keep them company in the office until things settle down outside. It's just amazing to me how much they care about my dog and make accommodations for her when she needs it. I've taken her to other local daycares and haven't felt the same type of care from them at all which is why I only take her to Creekside now. read more

From the moment I was greeted when I took my little dog in for grooming to the moment I picked him up this was a wonderful experience. Not only was my sweet little anxiety ridden dog treated with kindness and love, he also received the best grooming he has ever had in his 9 years. Destiny was the sweetest, most loving person and groomer. I'm always a little anxious when I leave Buster with a groomer because he's so sensitive and anxious I hope he is not being mistreated in any way. But Destiny was the kindest, sweetest groomer I have ever met. I knew he was in good hands. Maddie was also the sweetest person. I recently moved from Florida back to California and I'm so happy that I found this establishment. They are also kind of out in the country in Arroyo Grande and it's a really pretty place. We dropped our dog off for a week with exactly the pre-measured and individually bagged food and medication she needed for her stay. When I picked my dog up at 10:14am, the employee who brought my dog out stated that she had just arrived and my dog had not been fed breakfast nor given her morning medication. When I looked at the things to be brought home, there were 4 bags of food left and 6 doses of medication still in the bottle. I asked the Manager, Chantel, to please explain why my dog was not fed 4 times nor given 6 doses of her medication. She said she needed to check the logs and get back to me, but often dogs do not eat when boarded away from home. I told her that was not possible, my dog is a Beagle and has never refused food and she was familiar with this facility. The Manager asked the employee who brought my dog out if my dog ate well, the employee emphatically said yes, my dog always ate her food immediately. I asked the Manager, Chantel, to check the logs and please provide an explanation. She called me back later that afternoon and told me that my dog was offered food on two occasions and refused to eat. She also said that she was given her medication, as prescribed 1/2 pill, twice daily. When I asked if they were breaking the half-pills into quarters or if the notes were wrong, she did not know. The medication bottle clearly says that the pills are round and she gets half of a pill, twice daily. What's more, two meals refused is not four meals, and if my Beagle is refusing meals, why didn't they call me? If they were unsure about the medication, why was I not called? I gave the manager one more chance and asked again, are you sure this is not a mistake? You are going to tell me that my Beagle refused food when offered and that you put it back into the zip-lock bag? She said yes, my dog refused food and was given her medication as indicated. If they had even admitted a mistake was made and apologized (profusely), I might have a different opinion. But my opinion now is that a company willing to lie to cover-up a mistake when it comes to the health and well-being of our family member is dangerous. And I think it is important to share this experience so that other pets might be spared from serious injury. My dog has separation anxiety and takes medication to help with that. She will recover once her body receives the regular dose of medicine she needs. But what if it was heart medication or something else more vital. Could you imagine coming back from Spring Break to a dead pet because an employee forgot to medicate your dog for half the trip?! We will not be trusting Creekside Pet Boarding with our pets again. read more

We visit Pismo Beach often and wanted to find a place our golden retriever can spend some time at a doggy daycare when we are there so we can do some non dog friendly activities. After looking around online, I came across this place. Their costumer service was super friendly and welcoming. Professional help that truly enjoys being with dogs, facilities always clean, organized and takes the time to know your dog well to place with best dog groups. Cindy is a miracle worker as a trainer. My high energy pup has learned commands in one day and Cindy takes the time to review with the owner how to continue training at home. All dogs I see going into daycare are excited to enter the facility and that says so much. We have a corgi b**** who is in heat. I was racking my brain trying to figure out what to do with her. I called and spoke to creekside and asked if they would board my dog. They just like everyone else said they would not. But I didn't know what to do with my intact male. The manager said why don't you board your mail and leave your female inside your home. I don't know why I didn't think of that myself. I said great idea and off we went to have Nate boarded. Well there they were able to find another dog that Nate would kennel with. Nate is extremely timid. The other dog and Nate did well together I understand. And I know that helped his being away from me. We have used Creekside for boarding, daycare and training for our now 6 month old puppy. Ruby was actually born at Creekside who graciously helped Care 4 Paws with our puppy's mom. Creekside took in Ruby's mom while she was pregnant and kept her at their facility where she delivered 10 puppies, Ruby being one of them (7 have been adopted out and 3 are still available). I can't say enough about how caring, friendly and helpful everyone at Creekside has been. The new owners are making the facility even better and the staff is great. We've been taking our Shepard, Maddie, to Creekside for daycare activities for some time now. My wife and I are both retired and Maddie is 3 years old, so she has a bit more energy then we do. Creekside daycare has been the perfect solution. When we first started taking Maddie to Creekside, she was a "nervous barker". There was only one staff member that could comfortably handle her. Then their trainer, Cindy, took interest. She has worked with Maddie as time permitted and has given me some valuable tips, giving me a better understanding of Maddie's thought process's as well as the numerous things I was doing wrong. Maddie has been going to Creekside daycare about 3 times a week for about a year now. She is friends with all the staff now and has her own pack of playmates she loves to hang out with. The difference between Maddie's nervous behavior a year ago as compared to today is palpable. When strange dogs or people cross Maddie's path, there's no more out of control barking or leash tugging. Instead she just sits there carefully watching the new intruders on full alert. On the days that Maddie goes to daycare, she comes home mellow and content, as opposed to days when she doesn't go and is bouncing off the walls. Have to figure that one out. Bottom line, every time we go to daycare we're greeted with smiles from the friendly staff. And every time I tell Maddie that we're going to daycare, I say the word "Creekside" , she does a couple of binkies, then goes and sits by my truck waiting for me to open the door (totally true). Pets are kept outside in a small kennel with "heated" cement floors. There's a few small kennels per area where they allow the dogs to roam free throughout the day. The kennels have doors with the remainder of the walls made out of cement blocks, so it's kind of like camping for your dogs. They do have cots inside the kennels. There is one covered area they rotate the dogs to play in when it's raining. Otherwise, If it's raining they stay inside their kennels until it's their turn to rotate out for 20 minutes. read more

Proceed with caution in leaving your pets at this boarding facility. If you value a place where they take care of the employees, good ethics, and a safe environment, you will need to go somewhere better. This is first-hand experience. They discriminate against employees with disabilities. Passive aggressive responses and no accountability. There is a serious lack of communication, which then results in chaos when emergencies arise. The staff works hard to please the customers and the pets, but the owners do not support them and rather berate them. The employees are overworked and undertrained. The facility is run without proper training, especially when it comes to dog attacks or dog fights. If you are considering boarding your cat, please do not. The owner has thrown items at cats she thought were "vicious" so that she could get out the boarding area. There have been many times when cats had no water prior to a shift. They will pretend like they care, but it's not the truth. The only goal is to be the most profitable in the area, even if that means risking the health and safety of staff and animals. read more

I brought my pup Theo here for a 4 night stay a few months ago. They were great, he came home exhausted from all of the play (he is an only Dog and craves dog-to-dog interaction). I will definitely bring him back! The staff are friendly and seem to really care about the dogs. The only thing I would recommend is for staff to provide a report on my dog's stay (played with X,Y,X dogs, got tired easily, ate all meals, left some food, etc). read more

This place harms animals! I brought my beautiful healthy Cavalier King Charles spaniel to them after reading good Yelp reviews. He came back with eyes that have corneal ulcerations as diagnosed by our vet right after coming out of their facility. He was groomed there the second to the last day of a two week stay. The vet specifically noted the only time she has seen as severe a case was when a shampoo damaged a dog's eyes. I had contacted them as soon as I picked him up and the facility said they noticed nothing. I spoke to the horrendous owner who is denying all accountability and came up with excuses why it wasn't their fault. DO NOT take your animals here as they obviously care nothing about the dogs they are supposed to be caring for. read more

The staff and facility are amazing!!!! We were so scared to leave our pup with anyone but after our 1st short trip we realized how much fun our buddy had playing with all the other dogs because he rested and slept for almost a whole week. They have tons of play yards and the dogs get to be out in the fresh air playing together all day. No other dogs around. waited until 330 to check on them. one was running around in the grooming room wet the other was at least an hour away from being finished. The groomer stated that they would be finished around five. 7 hours for 2 dogs when one was not even started. Very strange operating procedures. read more

We had such a pleasant experience at Creekside Pet Boarding. My family & I took a mini vacation to Pismo Beach and we brought our puppy along. However, there were things we wanted to do during the day that did not allow dogs. About a week before our vacation I started looking into places that had doggy daycare in the area. We read wonderful reviews about another place in the area so we called and left a message with our callback information. A few days went by and we didn't hear back, so we called and left ANOTHER message with our information. Still didn't hear from them. Once we arrived in Pismo Bach, we call a third time and once again, nada. The facility was only about a 10-15 drive from where we were staying so we drove over and to be honest, they were very, very rude. We explained how we had called 3 times over a week period and never heard back and we were hoping to board our dog for the doggie daycamp. But they were extremely rude so we left. I quickly looked on Google for another place nearby. It led me to Creekside Pet Boarding. The owner was very nice and helpful. He showed us all around the property - gave us a full tour. We ended up leaving our dog there for the day and brought him back the next day. The property is huge with lots of different areas for the dogs to be. Our puppy (and us) were happy & relived that we found Creekside. Made our vacation even better. read more
