Martha was a doll, she has amazing customer service now the assistant manager Janel or Janet idk her name she didn't have her name badge on, she was rude, quick and seem like she didn't want to be there. Maybe the rest of the staff is better but she was definitely not. I came to get some money refunded from western Union, she just looked up the code and told me she couldn't find it and to go call western Union, I did and went back in and she still couldn't find it and told me to call again. I asked if there was anything else they could do to help me out or if there's a manager, she was quick to tell me she was an assistant manager, she brought Martha and she kindly told me sometimes it takes 15min for the money to transfer. That was more than enough help and so simple yet the assistant manager was quick to get rid of me. She should get retrained in customer service and patience. read more

I wish I could rate 0 stars! Rebecca is a horrible manager she harassed me every single time I come in and she's there! It's 9 windows and never more than 2 workers on a Friday and Saturday! This Friday I stood in line to pay my loan back for 45 mins just to get to the window and the agent to tell me she can no longer issue me a loan using their checks I need to have my own. It is supposedly a new rule since only Monday... no sign up or anything! Some people don't even own checks! Wow maybe a sign up would of been helpful or even a rep notifying the folks waiting in line like damn and I wouldn't have waisted all that time in there for nothing! I can't stand Rebecca so bad I let two people go ahead up me so I wouldn't have to deal with her and her discriminating demeanor. Fire her!!!! read more

This is the worse check casher place I ever been to I spent nearly two hours in line just waiting to do a Western Union transaction. There were seven people in front of me the line haven't moved nearly 45 minutes this is pathetic there should be no excuse for this it sure said the business is here in San Leandro is so far worse to go too hey just keep getting worse there's some restaurants and fast food places I'll stop going to when you start to treat your customers like crap like they doing you a favor it's time to stop doing business with them like Safeway or Burger King, Asian delight or jasmine I'll could go on and on about some of these businesses out here also charge such ridiculous price like Nation Burger charging seven bucks for a slice of pumpkin pie I just purchased a whole pie from a bakery cost me eight bucks for a whole pie this city San Leandro not the place to do business because you going to get treated like s*** or getting ripoff we or l tried to do is too support our community and our businesses. My mom and I had a very bad experience here. We went to ask how much it would be to cash the check she had. We had a bad impression right from the start when one employee was talking on the phone about personal things like how she has to open and close the store and how she has to train a few employees by herself blah blah blah. She told someone else to help us when she was just talking on the phone gossiping and complaining about her work. The person that she send to help greeted us with a bunch of food in his mouth as he talked. He tells us he has to verify the check first before anything and gives us paperwork to do while he calls and verifies the check. As hes talking on the phone he proceeds to write the person's information of whom hes talking to on the front and back of the check when he has sticky notes right in front of him! He finishes talking on the phone and i remind him we want to know how much it'll be to cash the check before anything and that's when he finally finds out by asking the other employee who is still gossiping on the phone, now while helping other people and asking for good yelp reviews...He tells us how much and it is way too much so we say no we dont want to proceed. By now he made us do paper work , wasted our time and ruined the check. After this my mom was not able to cash the check anywhere else because he had scribbled all over it. She had to go through the difficult process of getting another check and waiting weeks for it to arrive because some careless, illogical, unprofessional person ruined it. read more

When you go there for the first time, they have to register you which is fine, but their computers are soooooooo slowwwwwww, I'm sure they haven't updated them since the 90's, and I mean slow. Shady as shit. I have been coming here for over 8 years and I arrived at 10am this morning I was the 3rd in line and didn't get helped FOR 38 MINUTES. Then Melvin, the young black guy who "helped me" refused to sell me a money order unless I gave him my social security number. When I asked him if it was something new, he said it had been that way for years. DO NOT SHOP HERE UNLESS YOU WANT YOUR IDENTITY STOLEN. I went there to get a money order. It took two people, one a supervisor, to complete the transaction. After they ran it thru my bank account with my debit card, they told me that they had reached their limit on money orders they could make so they could not give me one. I said, "You couldn't tell me that BEFORE you ran it thru my acct!?" They said, "No." So, they said they could void the transaction. They did; gave me a receipt that said it was voided. Later, I checked my acct. They had not put the money back. I had gone elsewhere and got a money order. Now, everything was bouncing in my checking account! They don't even deserve 1 star! 11/20/2016 1:13pm I went to the bank and pulled out $800 for a money order for $775. The clerk counted the money and told me the fee without stating to me how much she counted. I checked the receipt and it said $780. I counted my money as I left the ATM so I know I did not miscount. When I reported it to her I was given the typical attitude as if I am trying to get over on her. I don't mind being that it's only $20 but it's my money nonetheless. Beware and be careful not to make the same mistake as me. Who knows the till might be low and they may need the $20 to stay afloat :) read more

I do not recomend going to this store or doing buiness with this company! This store is the one on East 14th in San Leandro. They do not value or even care about their customers! I have been doing buisness with this store for several years. Within the last year they have employed unprofessional and down right rude people!! I had some questions about my personal checking account, and a check they deposited for a pay day advance. The check was deposited two weeks later then I requested. This never happened before so I asked the clerk, if this was a new policy? The clerk helping me was Brandy, I have had problems with her rudeness before, but I let it go and delt with it. This time it was bad. She rolled her eyes several times. Then told me she was done talking, and she was tired of my repeat questions. I did repeat my self, however I was confused and wanted to better understand why the check posted so late? After all it is my checking account!! I held my toungue, and asked for a manager.
