I went in yesterday and had to get a loan for a personal situation. I thought I was doomed in not getting it because of a minor technical error on my jobs part. Charles, the Store Manager, didn't give up on me and worked on my case till almost closing. I walked out with my money in hand and good knowledge of my loan and how to pay it back etc. This location is also nice because it is within walking distance of Bayfair Bart. They don't have the cash to do a payday advance they go through a state-funded program which is doing a soft credit check on your credit they don't tell you that they don't have the money to give you it's all state-funded wasted my time asked all kind of questions like I was filling out papers for a long kept telling me that it wasn't for a long but it actually was because he had to put it in the system and they were in a soft credit check terrible place don't ever go to any of the check n go read more

I come to this location a couple times a year. The staff that's in there now is a VAST improvement over what they had about 4 - 5 years ago. Specifically, I want to mention the excellent service that I received from Charles. He has helped me on more than one occasion. Each time he has been very courteous, professional & highly skilled at his job. I can't rate him highly enough. read more

The staff is rude and lazy. They will sit there and watch you and not assist. This is the most ghetto location I have ever been to. They have no customer service skills and act like they are doing you a favor. In my opinion you should NEVER go to that location. You are better off going to any other check n go. The whole staff including the manager should be fired. If I could give them 0 stars I would. It took them an hour to help me while they were behind the glass twiddling their thumbs pretending to look busy while helping NONE of the customers inside the store. This is the worst customer service I have ever seen. You would think that customers inside the store would take priority especially when you walking into work late. Smh read more

I had a terrible experience yesterday at the Check 'n Go in San Leandro- the manager and Assistant Manager were present and I thought it was strange that the place was like a ghost town- no customers were anywhere to be found. Anyway, I went to this location because it was near my job- and I conveniently drove to the establishment during my lunch break from work. I was a previous customer and it had been two years since I had a loan with Check 'n Go- at this location. So I called in ahead of time - and was informed that if I presented a current paystub to verify employment and provided proof of my bank history together with a blank check, I would likely be granted the payday 255.00 dollar loan I was requesting. When I arrived at the store with my paystub, bank status and blank check- the Manager took the information and slowly completed the application- after forty minutes- I asked how much longer- and was told- 'ma'am, do you need to leave......ok'- I left as I needed to return to work. I came back later at 5:30 p and the same Manager informed me that my payday loan request was denied. I am a registered nurse and have sufficient income and well established bank history with B of A. I voiced my surprise at the denial as I have never been denied in the past. I am actually being quite gracious in presenting the details as the transaction was everything but pleasant- the manager made sure I knew who was running things- and he was quite happy to report that I was denied- he said ' your income or your bank' is the issue. Now everyone knows Nurses do well for themselves in the Bay - so I think they are really saying - They are broke and have no $$$- I will be watching my bank account for any fraud activity as they did take my information- and if they try to sell it- well we have lawyers for that..... Patrons steer clear of Check ' N Go' of San Leandro..... just sayin' read more

went in today to get a loan and the Manger was very rude because I work in a warehouse they don't have a landline so they use cell phones she would not help me got him on the phone and she still would not talk to him and had a letter with letter head and a check with the name on it she was being a real b!#@* never will go there agian read more
