The staff, I was looking to cash a check and they treated me like I was a criminal. One of the female staff members was unprofessional and created an unfriendly atmosphere. All for them to tell me that they could not cash a legitimate check. Meanwhile, I traveled to another check cashing establishment and had zero problems... Cash1 needs to reevaluate their staff. Actually NEGATIVE 5 stars. I don't know how these two employees even have a job. Do they just make up their own personal policies. I went to this check cashing place because Ive used their services previously with no problem. I went to cash check the first employee couldn't find me in their system using my DL so I began to give her the info she needed to "put me in their system". I asked how much the fee was for cashing the check. She asked what kind of check it was and for what. Which she said would fall under a business check at 10% of the check amount, about $64. I told her never mind because it was too high of a fee. She said she could ask her manager if she could do it at a lower rate and how much was I willing to pay. I said I'd be willing to pay 5%, she said she doubted they could do it that low but came back saying they could do it for $50. I said I would go try elsewhere but might come back. I drove down the street to the next check cashing place and in the parking lot attempted to first try depositing the check through my mobile banking app. so I signed the back of the check.But for whatever reason it was unable to process. At 2nd check cashing place, the fact that I signed the check was an issue, apparently I had to sign it in their presence. What? Since when? So I went back to Cash 1 even though I didn't like their high fees. But I needed the money. So a Cash 1 now they were busy and a different employee attended me but the first employee was right next to her. This employee saw that the check was signed and asked me why I had signed it and I explained the whole situation. Her demeanor from the start seemed unhappy, as in unhappy to be at work. She and the other employee start discussing what had happened earlier and started saying how they should just not cash the check. Then this unhappy employee asked me to show her my mobile banking app history . Which I did and then she takes my phone and starts going through it and after a few minutes hands it back to me. Tells me shes going to call the check cashing place I left to see if I had gone there. Then tells me they had no recollection of me being there. So no they couldn't cash it because it was signed. I told her that didnt make sense because the other employee saw it when it wasn't signed and I had explained why I had signed it. I had proof of identification which has my signature on it. She said no they wouldnt and that her manager had also disapproved of cashing it. The same manager who had just offered a lower fee earlier. They made me feel like it was a personal issue because I did hear the comments they were making like ; " oh now she wants us to cash it" and "its up to you, don't do it if you dont want to" "yeah I don't feel like it". while they laughed and did stretching exercises. WTH. I wasn't rude to them, I didn't have an attitude. I smiled and was courteous but they wanted to be petty. The first employee was nice the first time around but now with the second employee, she was rude and snotty. Employee #2 was just a FAN, and needed a whole new face and attitude adjustment. Girl needed a new wig and fill too. How you like that pettiness??? And the whole thing as recorded on my phone and I will be sending it to corporate. read more

Awful!!! The lines are always long and they always take forever. There is one employee, a male that will leave to go smoke when there are 5 plus people in line with only 1 person at the counter. I also called the other day to confirm that they were going to debit my account, and asked if they could do it that same day and the person I spoke with (the same guy that leaves the customers to go smoke) assured me that he would note my account and they had my debit info and for me not to worry about it. To this day the $$$ has not been pulled out of my account. They sent my check to the bank instead of debiting my account like I asked them too!! Ugh!! so frustrating! read more

I come here all the time to cash my checks. I went in today and this lady named puja or whatever said all the internet was down and told me to come back later. She lied the internet is NOT down she was just being lazy didn't want to help anyone. Came to the front counter chewing gum I can hear her talk and laugh with someone in the back before she even approached me. This is the first time I see this Puja lady and I hope I don't see her again everyone that's helped me before has been pleasant. Except for Puja she is rude! read more

Opens at 9...9:15 rolls around and no one..someone in the crowd waiting outside calls corporate and is told the person on duty quit, a manager will be down...20 minutes later she comes, opens the door, cusses at the gentleman waiting patiently, and proceeds to go inside, and lock it for the next 20 minutes as she counts the money. OMG the hispanic girl that works there is so rude. I went there to cash a check the bank was closed due to the holiday. I asked the girl if they cashed personal checks and she point to the wall, i think it was easier just to say yes. Hand her the check and asked me "do you have the number" i asked her what number? Because her telephone number was on the check. "Her number" i asked again what num, cell phone, ss#, and again with a terrible attitude " do you have her number? I said you know what give me back the check and my ID. She gave me back my id and left to the back with my check. Of course i was upset and angry and request to get my check back. She then came and gave it to me saying i had to ask if i could give it back. I mean seriously if you are going to work with customers have a little more respect for everyone. If you dont like your job or was upset because you have to work look for something else if you dont like customers.
