Actually NEGATIVE 5 stars. I don't know how these two employees even have a job. Do they just make up their own personal policies. I went to this check cashing place because Ive used their services previously with no problem. I went to cash check the first employee couldn't find me in their system using my DL so I began to give her the info she needed to "put me in their system".
I asked how much the fee was for cashing the check. She asked what kind of check it was and for what. Which she said would fall under a business check at 10% of the check amount, about $64. I told her never mind because it was too high of a fee. She said she could ask her manager if she could do it at a lower rate and how much was I willing to pay. I said I'd be willing to pay 5%, she said she doubted they could do it that low but came back saying they could do it for $50. I said I would go try elsewhere but might come back. I drove down the street to the next check cashing place and in the parking lot attempted to first try depositing the check through my mobile banking app. so I signed the back of the check.But for whatever reason it was unable to process. At 2nd check cashing place, the fact that I signed the check was an issue, apparently I had to sign it in their presence. What? Since when? So I went back to Cash 1 even though I didn't like their high fees. But I needed the money. So a Cash 1 now they were busy and a different employee attended me but the first employee was right next to her. This employee saw that the check was signed and asked me why I had signed it and I explained the whole situation. Her demeanor from the start seemed unhappy, as in unhappy to be at work. She and the other employee start discussing what had happened earlier and started saying how they should just not cash the check. Then this unhappy employee asked me to show her my mobile banking app history . Which I did and then she takes my phone and starts going through it and after a few minutes hands it back to me. Tells me shes going to call the check cashing place I left to see if I had gone there. Then tells me they had no recollection of me being there. So no they couldn't cash it because it was signed. I told her that didnt make sense because the other employee saw it when it wasn't signed and I had explained why I had signed it. I had proof of identification which has my signature on it. She said no they wouldnt and that her manager had also disapproved of cashing it. The same manager who had just offered a lower fee earlier. They made me feel like it was a personal issue because I did hear the comments they were making like ; " oh now she wants us to cash it" and "its up to you, don't do it if you dont want to" "yeah I don't feel like it". while they laughed and did stretching exercises. WTH. I wasn't rude to them, I didn't have an attitude. I smiled and was courteous but they wanted to be petty. The first employee was nice the first time around but now with the second employee, she was rude and snotty. Employee #2 was just a FAN, and needed a whole new face and attitude adjustment. Girl needed a new wig and fill too. How you like that pettiness??? And the whole thing as recorded on my phone and I will be sending it to corporate. read more
