Hello yelpers! I recently had my bike at California Ebikes in Fair Oaks. I am a tough customer, and needed a miracle and after some time they were able to get my bike exactly where I needed it to be! I was so happy after riding my bike, that I asked the delivery driver to shoot a video of me for his boss. Only to find out the delivery driver who gave such good customer service was actually the owner of the business! It blew my mind. If they post the video you can tell if you look at my face, and just know - that it takes A LOT to impress an ugly person and I couldn't be more impressed with their level of expertise and customer service! Take your Ebikes here! Hell they're just bike ppl, give them a call and support local businesses. Don't ask for discounts when you're happy with local business. Give them free promo! read more

My bike was in need of some work done after the back tire had gone completely flat. I was calling many different places to get it fixed but some either didn't touch e-bikes or were pretty rude over the phone. When I called California Ebikes though you could tell they're different to other shops. Over the phone and in person they're all really nice and helpful. It's good that they get straight to the point with what's wrong with your bike and don't try to sneak in random charges. Pricing is relatively priced and I honestly recommend anyone with bike issues to give them a call. read more

I bought my first ebike from Erica and Ryan. The first time I rode it the pedals were loose and one fell off. I took the bike back to get my money back and was told that there was no warranty. They then tried to fix it. When I tried again to ride it, the pedals again fell off. On returning, again, no warranty so they traded me for a different bike with less power. Again no warranty. When I brought it back I was told by Ryan that I needed to "find another shop". I can't recommend them. read more

I've been to California Ebikes twice and they do good work and fixed my issue both times. They even offer pick up and delivery service. My issue is not their work, but they removed and lost a very expensive lock I had on the bike. I had a very expensive Hiplock DX1000, which is over 300.00 and the bike mount, another 100.00. I forgot to remove the lock and mount but when my bike was returned it was minus the lock and mount. I called several times and text before I got a return call. I was informed that they didnt recall seeing anything and 2 other workers were also asked. I have the keys to the lock so no one can use it, but now im out over 400.00. I am not a happy customer. On fixing the ebike issue, 5 stars, but losing my lock and mount 0 stars. ​​If I use them again, I will be sure to take a picture of my bike and ensure everything is removed before bringing my bike in. read more

I walked in and met Ryan the owner and was pleasantly greeted. I was looking at getting a commuter ebike. I've had a fat tire e-bike for 5 years and I wanted something a little lighter and more nimble and faster. I was looking at the Velotric Discover 1 E-Bike. We were talking and Ryan introduced me to a different bike that was a little bit more powerful but around the same price. I was able to test ride it and I was pleasantly surprised. It was exactly what I was looking for. Erica his wife rang me up right after that and I've been happy with the bike ever since. I even had some issues that I caused and they still warrantied the repair and had it returned in a reasonable amount of time. I totally recommend this ebike shop. We were looking to purchase an Ebike and wanted to support a local shop and stopped by California Ebikes last summer. The owner's parents were working this particular day and were both very kind and helpful. We returned a few weeks later and purchased a bike with accessories. This time we were dealing directly with the owner's. They were helpful and we left happy with our new bike. We returned last week for a service and left the bike. We picked it up a few days later and realized, after we left the store, that the 20% service discount was not applied (offer was directly sent to us from California Ebikes via text). We called the shop and spoke to Ryan (owner) and he suggested we stop back by the shop. No problem, easy peasy, right? Not quite. Apparently, this triggered Ryan for some unknown reason. From the moment we walked in the store, we were met with sarcastic, rude demeaning comments. As we walked through the door, he literally reached into his pocket and said "here's your 10 dollars". I responded by telling him the discount was more than 10 dollars. He then proceeds to take out his wallet and says "fine here's 20 dollars out of my own wallet". I looked at him and asked why he was so irritated. His response was even worse! He proceeded to make rude and demeaning comments to me and my disabled son. I was so taken back, It was really a WOW moment! He then asks "how much do you want"? I responded by telling him "20% would be 36.00". He then takes a second 20.00 bill out of his wallet and says "here you can have this". I then immediately left the store. Here's a local mom and pop shop trying to make a decent living and this is how he treats returning customers?! There was absolutely no reason for his behavior, it was really odd. Needless to say, we will NEVER be back nor will I continue recommending their store! read more

I had a flat tire on my etrike today and called around trying to find someone to repair it. California ebikes didn't originally pop up in my first few searches but when it did I called and he texted me back right away saying he could fix it. I arrived as soon as they opened expecting it would be in the shop for a few days but he said he could do it right then. As we chatted about the bike he told me about upgrades he could do, and I jumped at getting more performance out of it. So we have upgrades on order. I'm so glad I found this shop. Ryan and Erica are wonderful people. I bought an electric rickshaw bike online and they built it beautifully without instructions (instructions weren't included in the packaging). I had some setbacks with the derailer and an absent battery (also not included with the packaging) and they did everything possible to help. The bike is solid and exciting to ride now. I couldn't imagine having to deal with this new bike headache with anyone else. I've been to three e-bike shops with different bikes and issues and this one is by FAR the nicest, most reliable, and knowledgeable in the Sacramento area. Thank you Ryan and Erica! I can't recommend this bike shop. The owner (Erica) will say anything to make a sale. I wanted an e bike that could go off road with my husband. He has a mountain e-bike. She stated several times that the Hemiway mid drive Zebra could do this. This is not the case. The bike is great as a cruiser, but can't go off road and around tight corners. After taking it out, I tried to return it because it just couldn't do what we were sold it could. They refused to allow us to return the bike. I bought an ebike on Amazon and it didn't fit my wife, so we knew there was an eBike shop down the street. So off we went on my new bike and her old pedal bike. We didn't have locks, so we weren't sure what to do and the gentleman from the shop said, "Go ahead and bring them in." We came in originally to just size my wife for an eBike and then off to the internet as usual for purchase. I was mistaken to think, as I have experienced at other shops, to be snubbed when I asked about things about my bike (Purchased elsewhere). I had introduced myself to the gentleman (Ryan) and he proceeded to answer questions about servicing my bike for flats, some solutions I might consider when/if I get a flat to reduce future flats. All of my question were answered and no BS. My wife tried several bikes and Ryan was very informative as to her selection. She made up her mind and we went home. I believe in shopping local when at all possible. The price was good, I didn't have to assemble it and there wouldn't be multiple messages through Amazon (As with my bike) to get the order right and bike working. After figuring the $ out we went back and bought the bike my wife picked out after all price point was great, local, I didn't have to spend all the time putting it together and the customer service was top notch. After our second ride my wife's screen came loose and a screw had fallen out. We stopped by after they opened, and Ryan was right on it and fixed it right on the spot. On our first visit to California Ebikes, we were greeted warmly by Ryan, despite the fact that we were bringing in a bike we purchased online. When we showed him our Jason EB7 ST bike with a broken shifter (from a crash), Ryan said they'd be able to replace/fix it, no problem. Also, at our request, he installed a thumb throttle to replace the bar throttle that contributed to the crash (user error). When we picked it up a few days later, not only was the work done expertly, but Ryan had also touched up the crash-scraped brake handles with matching paint and fixed any crash-based misalignments he could find (like handlebars and wheels). Based on the low fee, I'm pretty sure he didn't charge us for all the parts and labor involved. (If he did all that to encourage us first-timers to come back, he succeeded... Thanks, Ryan!) I will definitely recommend California Ebikes to anyone who needs service for their e-wheelers. read more

I purchased two used E-bikes and didn't know much about them. I brought them to California E-bikes to be checked out and do some minor maintenance. Ryan and his wife Erica the owners were so helpful and super friendly and personable. Christian their bike mechanic took both bikes in the back and 20 minutes later we were out riding our bikes. Fair Oaks Coastal Cruisers was so patient answering all my questions, helping me find what would work best for my needs (I have a toddler I want to ride with), giving me time to consider the investment, and supporting me through the delivery and assembly process. I'm not a big Yelp reviewer but would be remised if I didn't tell anyone looking for a electric bike to go strait to Fair Oaks Coastal Cruisers. They have a very knowledgeable staff that never pressured me into buying anything but instead took multiple phone calls from me to help me find the right bike for my wife and I. We love our new bikes, are able to take rides now that we would've never dreamed of on our old mountain bikes and am already talking to them about a smaller bike once my son can grow into one.
