Guys, if you're looking for the best bicycle shop in Sacramento, you have found it! I took in an old school bmx(skyway ta) in to be put together. I previously went to 3 different shops in my area with all my parts. All 3 looked at it and said, "I think maybe we can do it." As if they weren't sure. It did not inspire much confidence. Great experience every time! Have been coming here for years. Mainly for tube changes, they are quick and you know the prices upfront. Robby helped me out today with two bikes, one needed a tube change and the other needed two tubes + tire. $6.99 for tube +$8 for labor. Was in and out within about 30mins. Robby went above and beyond, checked the valves, let me know what's going on, and helped me install a phone mount. Definitely recommended! read more

We went there to get a small repair of something I wasn't able to fix for my grandson, a stripped nut issue. The kid just wants to be able to ride in the neighborhood with his friends and is learning some new trix. We are not pro racers or anything like that. I was amazed at how helpful they were. I was fully expecting that the repair would not make sense compared to buying a new bike, which we were not able to do at this time. Great experience today at Patriot bicycles. I was in a real bind and needed the battery charged for my old DI2 bicycle. I could not find my charger anywhere. Stopped by at lunchtime and talked with Scott , he was very kind and offered to charge it up for me at no charge. The shop I normally use is in Auburn but was closed until Tuesday. As my lady and I were ready to go on an evening bike ride, I noticed that her rear tire was completely flat. I inflated it back up only to find out that it went flat again within minutes. I then took matters in my own hands, searched for a bike shop on the Yelp app and came across "Patriot Bicycles" in Citrus Heights. With an average 4.5 star rating at just over a dozen reviews, I figure why not give this place a try. Located in a small strip mall directly on Madison Ave and adjacent to San Juan Ave, "Patriot Bicycles" has actually been around for many years but under different fictitious names and owners. In addition to them being a dedicated business where they sell bikes, they also do tune-ups, brake adjustments/replacements, accessory installs, derailleur/shifter gear work, spoke cutting/threading, and much, much more. I phoned the business around 4:45pm, told them our situation and the employee told me as long as we arrive by 5:00pm, he would install a new bike tube in her tire. Fortunately we got there right at 5:00pm and there was only one customer in the store. And speaking of the store itself, this is actually a nice little place that actually has two sections; one where the adult bikes are kept and another small section where you'll find children's bikes. As I told the employee that I was the one that called, he took the bike right in and worked on it immediately. And 10 minutes later, her bike had a brand new inner tube put in. The price was very reasonable as it only cost $3.99 for the inner tube + $8.00 for labor. Best of all, we were out of there by 5:15pm and were able to go on our evening bike ride from 5:30-6:30pm! Overall, the staff here was very helpful, informative, and took care of us in a very timely manner. They carry some major bike brands (Giant, Specialized, Fuji) as well as components, helmets, pedals, chains, baskets, pedometers, tires, and much more. There is also a unique BMX bike museum that is showcased in this store. They definitely focus on service which is something you don't find at some of the other bigger name bike stores. When I dropped the bike off and picked it up, the customer service was excellent. I had my bike serviced (replaced shifter/brake lever and full tune-up) right before the pandemic broke out and finally got to take the bike out. It is shifting and braking smoother than ever. I've found a couple other bike shops in town to have arrogant attitudes if your just a regular, casual rider. Back in April 2020 I had brought my road bike in for a basic tune up (needed brakes tightened and air pressure checked for tires). When I picked up my bike weeks later, my bike was exactly how it was when I dropped it off. No tune up was performed and I was charged $75. These guys are rip offs and just take your money without doing any work. read more

I've been coming here off and on for about 5 years, first bike was a Big Ripper. Scott helped me with some mild up grades to the bike back then and never complained about all the crazy questions I asked him. So this year things have been super crazy killed the small businesses and put people out of work... rough times( I was worried the shop had closed). I reached out to him to see if he was able to help build my wife's bike and if he had any good suggestions on a bike..... and again of course he did.
