It had that perfect texture you hope for in a sourdough sandwich and elevated the experience. My son ordered the Chicken Caesar Salad along with a cup of clam chowder. The salad had a generous portion of chicken, lots of croutons for extra crunch, and a Caesar dressing that was creamy and flavorful. They also included two sides of dressing, which was great for anyone who likes a well-coated salad. My son ended up asking for a third. The clam chowder was decent overall. It wasn't the best we've had compared to some of the chowder spots in Monterey, where the standard is pretty high, but it was still warm, satisfying, and worth trying as part of the meal. Overall, Sourdough Company delivered fresh food, solid portions, quality bread, and excellent customer service. It truly feels like a hidden hole-in-the-wall spot run by hardworking, down-to-earth people. The owner was personable, engaged in friendly banter, and made the experience even better. It is nice that they have indoor and outdoor options. The service and staff are always super friendly and I want to say the guys name is Mike with the long ponytail. He's always there on Sundays and he has a crazy infectious personality. He's literally always smiling and happy. I've never seen someone at work( especially in customer service )that is just genuinely happy. I am very thankful that he is blessed with that. Because let's just admit it he works in customer service you know not everybody is wonderful all the time and there are only certain people that can let it roll off them and keep it pushing... I'm gonna say it again just come here. I bring my mom at least twice a month.
