Got a large tattoo of filigree around my upper arm and shoulder as a background to an existing piece. Bandit did a great job making it flow with the existing tattoo and worked with me throughout the process to make sure it was what I wanted. Everyone at the shop is chill and friendly and it's a clean and safe environment. read more

Will definitely be returning! Walked in late on a Tuesday with a very vague plan of what I wanted, no appointment. Joe happened to be finishing and said he had some time to help me. Very friendly and easy to work with, he guided me through the process to design and execute my first tattoo. My husband and I been meaning to get a matching tattoo. We randomly decided to walk in before work. I have a habit of just walking in without an appointment or I'll chicken out! So we walked on, met Joe. Awesome guy. He allow us to go to the back and "edit" how we want ours before printing it out. My husband was a bit nervous because it's his first tattoo. He decided to get 3 small ones done and plus mine the total was $150 not including tax. Price is beyond reasonable. I've paid $100 for tattoos I wasn't too crazy for. Joe helped us through the process. It hurt like hell but damn it I fucking love how he would not stopped til he is satisfied with his own work. I swear he turned off the machine 3 times (I'm thinking its done) and he continues if he's not satisfied. Joe even helped us with khmer Lettering for my husband. My husband wanted my name in khmer on him. (Yes, I know - I told him many times to not do this!) But he seems to love it. Thanks Joe! My wife and I came in on the 10th of July and for starters, this place was pretty legit for being a random spot. Had great Japanese and other ethnic inspired items in shop (just don't try and drink the huge bottle of Henny on display). They had a tv in the parlor so the customers can watch while they get their piece done (we were watching Kat Williams). Heard about this place before, but each artist here was pretty chill. We were met by our artist Boden and lemme tell ya, chillest dude I've met in a while. Consulted my wife on what she wanted for her first piece. She had an idea of what she wanted and Bo hooked it up with clean line work and great color composition for her crescent mooned lotus. Seeing how good hers came out, I said, "Fuck it" and got my own same day. Albeit, her piece was smaller and was quicker to do. He was able to squeeze me in for a Metatron's Cube back-piece as well. Estimated about an hour and a half for my piece and he finished well beyond my expectations with the line work in under 45 mins. Mind you, he will gauge your pain tolerance and stop if you wanna tap out for the time being. Overall, for two outstanding pieces, price was about $160 for the two not including a tip. Definitely check this place out. I'll definitely will be hitting up Bo the next time I want a piece done. read more

I wanted to wait until my tattoo had healed until I wrote a review, but rest assured that this place absolutely deserves five stars. I called in initially because I'd seen the work on California King's Yelp page and thought I knew what artist I wanted to go with, but the guy who answered the phone suggested I come in to see the portfolios for myself. I'm glad he did. I ended up going with Boden. Boden is CRAZY talented. They don't call them tattoo artists for nothing. I feel so lucky that he was willing to take on my project, which is generally out of the realm of stuff he does, because his technique is amazing. He walked me through everything, from the time I showed him my idea for a design to getting me set up the day of. He was so kind, professional, courteous, and humble that I was blown away. I can't tell you how much I appreciate his attitude and demeanor during this whole process. I'm so impressed. It's all I can do to emphatically endorse these guys. They're wonderful. read more

Ok this is long over due. Boden is straight up the man . He did an amazing cover up on me ( see photos) he has also done some work on my husband. He has exceeded our expectations every time! Not to mention he is priced extremely reasonable . Bo is pleasant to be around, he made me feel right and home and comfortable. He is soooo talented.. I feel so lucky to be tattoo by him. Top notch, plain and simple. Got a half-sleeve piece done by Bandit this week and I can say I've finally found a shop I'm willing to stick with. Aside from the inking skills the man possesses, he's both courteous and professional. The place is clean, the staff is friendly and knowledgable and there isn't the typical elitist attitude you get at some shops in the area. I searched for a long time for a shop that could handle the level of work I was looking for, thinking I would have to go to deep L.A. to get it, but Bandit and his guys are no joke. Loved this tattoo shop. I have a couple tattoos and when I was deciding on where I wanted to go for my next one I visited a few shops and was set on this one after I checked it out. Right when I walked in Joe greeted me and I spoke with him what I wanted to do. He was very cool, and did an amazing job with my tattoo, which was a scar cover up. The quality of tattoos here look amazing from what I've seen from the Yelp pictures as well as some of their portfolios, and from my tattoo I got here. The price is about average for tattoo artist, but the amount of quality you get is phenomenal. All in all, I recommend checking out this place if you are considering getting a tattoo, define let check out Joe! read more

I went here about a year ago and I was really excited to get work done. I had a drawling up made up and I knew exactly what I wanted. The guy wasn't gonna do my tattoo cuz he was busy but after I convinced him he said sure. I showed him what I wanted and he confirmed he could do that. Now I'm stuck with this piece on my back and it was a cover up to start. So now I can't even touch what he did or fix. This looks nothing like I had imagined or even showed him. I'm in a new tattoo-artist relationship with JOE! He's my go to guy now. I loved his work so much the first time, I went back for a second tattoo within a couple weeks of my first visit. He's friendly and extremely professional and most importantly, he makes you feel comfortable. I gave him a bunch of ideas on what I wanted and he was able to put it all together. Bandit is HORRIBLE with timing. My first session appointment was 1:00 pm, he arrived at 2:30 and never greeted me, start doing his things until 3-ish then called me in to start. My second session appointment was also 1:00 pm, this time he straight up arrived at 4:00 pm saying he was in traffic and never apologized. I said I was kinda mad, he straight up laughed and ignored the comment. He also waste a lot of time on the clock while tattooing, sometimes I feel like he does it on purpose to stretch the hours that he charges. However, I have to give him credit that he was a great artist. Amazing work on my sleeve. I won't go to him again though. Also beware, they tell you to go in for consultation when you call to make an appointment. Pretty much you can't over the phone, you have to come in for "consultation". Well, "consultation" was pretty was for you to give them a deposit and barely any consulting AT ALL. All consulting is done on the day of the appointment. read more

We worked on the design TOGETHER!! He brought my thoughts to life and delivered an even better result!!! I have 2 other tats on my body done by other artists but this particular one has actually the most important meaning and details and i am very happy that Adam was the one to do it. Came here to get a couple tattoos done and Adam Do did an amazing job! He actually sketched a couple ideas for me because I wasn't sure exactly what i wanted. When I finally did, he came up with this really amazing design that I was in love with. Exactly as I described and imagined it. It was a very clean shop and all the guys there were friendly and welcoming. I actually had scratched the tattoo on my side and the the one of my finger had faded since it was white ink and Adam touched them both up ASAP and was understanding and nice about it. Just recently got my tattoo done here by Joe. He's really personable and it was pretty comfortable considering I was getting a tat done on my ribs. I love my tattoo. Joe also texted me a design before my appointment date and listened to any changes I wanted to make to it. I was told ribs hurt like hell, but it was tolerable. I decided to get my first tattoo, and I wanted a big one that covered my upper arm and chest. After consulting with Adam, I decided that he would be the guy. I had a concern of developing a keloid from the tattoo, but he assured me that I would be okay as long as we stay around the current scar. No other tattoo artist knew what a keloid scar was, although they claimed that they did. Adam knew exactly what it was and talked me thru the risks. I decided to get an Ox and a Lotus, and it turned out beautiful. I was paranoid at first, but the end product was amazing. Did I mention that I healed perfectly? No raises or bumps. I went in for 2 sessions and he did not waste any time at all. 99% of the time was needle on skin, the other 1% was to dip the needle in ink. Definitely recommend Adam for anyone looking for get some artwork done. read more

I'm hoping this will be the last time that I go to this shop for a repiercing, but I will definitely come back here if I have to. Joslyn was extremely professional and made sure I felt comfortable the entire time during the piercing process by double checking that it didn't hurt. I had to purchase one of their steel titanium jewelry ($15 was the cheapest one) and was not allowed to use my own jewelry that I bought from Laughing Buddha. Which is totally understandable and makes sense as to why they don't use other jewelry outside of their own. I think it also specifies in their rules or contract that you're not allowed to bring in outside jewelry, but I would call to make sure. I also did not like that they didn't have a more comfortable waiting/seating area. Those tiny chairs on wheels are not really plus-sized friendly and I would have appreciated a regular chair instead of those. The online booking experience for an appointment within 3 days was easy to use on their website. I believe there was a $5 security deposit that goes into your overall total at the end of your piercing/tattoo session. In fact, my piercer Joslyn even emailed me to ask questions about my piercing history and whatnot. I really appreciated her attentiveness to detail and for taking the initiative to understand her customer's needs. Overall, I had a pleasant experience with my piercer Joslyn and would highly recommend her for your piercing needs. Thanks again!!

Was looking for a new shop to get inked up... Found California Kings Tattoo. Bottom Line cleanest shop ive seen. I work in an OR and i am finicky about cleanliness. They take they're art form seriously here. I recently got my CHELSEA FC tattoo done here by Alex Magana.. He did an amazing job his technique and attention to detail made me a for life customer of this shop. The work ethic here is phenomenal. I walked in greeted by Alex and he showed me his work and the work of the other artist there. I felt welcomed here like a friend it was a really good atmosphere. The owner of the shop Bandit is a really cool guy he takes the time to say Hi to everyone that comes in when he isnt tatting. Everyone else there is really chill Adam Joe Stephen make you feel welcome. Im going back next week to get my Dia de los muertos skull on my arm by Alex. Super clean shop and very friendly. It was actually my first time inside an actual tattoo shop (I have everything done in home) so I was sceptical about getting that elitest attitude coming from the artists - but not here! All the artists are super close with each other and come by every now and then to check out each others work and compliment on the progress. It's a real tight knit group and a great over all friendly feeling atmosphere. I personally went to Alex Magana for my first script on my right forearm and it came out as clean and as detailed as it could get. He even touched it up for free after a few weeks when the ink set in. These guys are the homies! Definitely recommend this shop to anyone looking to get some great custom work done. California Kings Tattoo is one of the best Tattoo shops in the O.C. Clean and kind artist. Ive got Tattoo by Tatt2Joe and this guy is one of the best artist that has Tattooed me in a long time. He did a cover up on m neck and a couple of other ink work and I loved it! Hes a true artist, you tell him what you want and he will tattoo it perfectly. Great personality and down to earth guy. Im going to bring all my friends and family to him. I honestly can say that this guy should have his own shop,maybe one day. I had an amazing experience!!!!!! I was greeted as soon as I walk in. The place is clean and the staff was friendly and professional. BODEN was my tattoo artist, he's awseome with a great sense of HUMOR! I ask Boden if he can somehow get all three of my kid's name into a heart shape and he delivered! Not what i expected at all, he drew such a phenomenal and intricate piece! I was in love! I asked her to give me a dragon on my lower calf & give her full control on size, style, shape, genre, etc.. & see exceeded my expectations. I love the composition & how badass it looks. Stopped by with a friend this morning who had an appointment for a piercing. I was playing on the computer looking at portfolios and fonts, Penny struck up a conversation about what I was looking for. I was looking for something super simple and small for my wrist. I got my septum pierced here on a whim yesterday while staying at the Linq. Daisy, the front desk receptionist, was so so sweet and she talked with me on the. phone prior to my appointment. I was running late but they were still able to get me in on time. The piercing was quick but the piercer, Tanner Paige, still took his time and was detail-oriented in making sure it was neatly lined up and presentable. Loved my experience! The shop was extremely clean, professional, and the staff were very personable. Penny is amazing, I went in and asked for a heart with a J initial and the word forever on my ring finger and she exceeded my expectations. It turned out even better than I had hoped for.
