We ordered a variety of dishes since it was our first time here, from their dumplings to Himalayan curry, tikka masala, veggie thali, soya chaad skewers and garlic naan. Have to say the highlights for me was their tikka masala (flavorful with nice creamy texture) as well as their garlic naan which is soft and fresh with burnt edges that gives off touch of smokiness to the taste. Love the soya chaad (vegetarian soy protein meat) skewers that comes with salad or the fragrant rice option. I chose the latter and the dipping sauce was the highlight. It's so refreshing, and zesty. Great ambiance with plenty parking spots.

Simple like home dine in eatery in an unassuming strip mall in Sunnyvale. Prices are reasonable. We got the spring rolls (good but nothing special. ) the chilli veg momo (vvv good a must get ) and veg fried rice with egg, which was also v tasty. All in all, would def come back again.

As a Nepalese, my favorite food from this restaurant is their chatpate & jhol momo (must try!). Normally, I order veg jhol momo & it's always yum. Jhol taste is similar to that of Nepal. Their chowmein is good too. Chai is how you'd normally expect. I also ordered Prawn Thukpa and it was 6/10. They have plenty of outdoor seating and you can take your dog (but not allowed inside)! The owners are easygoing, polite & friendly. You can always strike a good conversation. I take my dog often. We had a conversation once; they asked me about my dog & told me about theirs. They gave her water too. The servers are great and check on you often. Dining there is a good experience - both inside & outside. It's cozy. They turn on the heaters if you need it (when you sit outside).

It was my first time trying Nepal cuisine and I'm absolutely obsessed! We ordered the crispy paneer momos, veggie momos, buffalo momos, garlic naan, lamb skewers, and goat curry. The momos here are fantastic, the filling is so flavorful and the dough is the perfect consistency! I also loved the jhol sauce that you can order on the side. It's creamy and was the perfect sauce to dip the momos in. The garlic naan was buttery and the perfect side to the meal. The goat curry had so much flavor and the actual goat was so tender and cooked perfectly. The lamb skewers were also extremely tender and served with a nice refreshing salad! The service was kind and extremely friendly. She was patient and did a really great job explaining the menu. The inside of the restaurant is large and clean and they also have ample outdoor seating. I'll definitely be back!

This was my first time at California Momo Kitchen and it was a great time. The waitress and the lady who brought out our food were so friendly! The restaurant is large with lots of indoor seating as well as outdoor seating and they're in a shopping center with lots of parking. The food overall is very good. I had the chicken kothey Momo, paneer kothey Momo and johl Momo, johl is usually my favorite type but at California Momo Kitchen I really enjoyed the paneer one, you could taste the veggies in it which added extra flavor. It was my first time trying chicken chilli and the mustang aloo, I enjoyed both but was really wowed with the aloo. The aloo was cooked perfectly, it was warm and crispy and the added seasoning on top were phenomenal. I expected the chicken chilli to be spicier but it wasn't, it was good but I think it fell short on overall flavor.

I had the vegetable chow mein delivered for a work lunch, it was really good. Very hefty portion, and pretty good ratio of noodles to vegetables, unlike some places that barely give any veggies. The menu has lots of vegetarian options but it's not very clear what items are vegan. I did find an allergen chart someone posted as a photo on Yelp and so I went off of that, although I couldn't find this chart anywhere on their website.

Located in a plaza with plenty of parking. Cozy interior with ample seating. We were a large group of 15+ and they were happy to accommodate with a reservation. Our table ordered a variety of menu items, and everyone seemed to enjoy their food. I tried the lamb momo kothey (pan seared) and chicken curry. The lamb momo was very flavorful and came with a portion of curry which added even more flavor. The pan seared part was good but it wasn't very crispy; I'd be curious to try their original form. The chicken curry was also very good and flavorful - would highly recommend. Unfortunately since everything is made fresh to order, this made it difficult with larger parties like ours to get food at similar times. Food was a bit slow to come out (took at least 30 mins) and the first person to get their food waited until their food got entirely cold before the last person got theirs. Perhaps it's not the best option for a large group dining in.

chicken momos, kothey style, and garlic naan bread.

4.0: Chicken momos, kothey style. filling is very flavorful without being too salty. The wrapper is ok; a little too thin and soft. I prefer something thicker and stiffer, with more QQ. The Kothey pan frying improves it. 4.0: Garlic Naan bread; Great flavor. But a little too thin / soft. There is a 12.5% service charge, which the menu states replaces the tip. However, when you pay on the handheld POS, they don't remind you that the tip is already included; you need to remember to skip the tip.

Momo city This place is pretty close to where I live so figured I should give it a shot. Tucked away in the back of an unassuming plaza, this place actually has fantastic food. *Sampler Momo - My order of preference: Lamb, Chicken, Paneer, Veggie. All came out hot with plenty of juice. The skin is the perfect thickness and filling was tender. Loved the basil tomato sauce on the side. *Chicken Thali - Loved the variety and an incredible value. The chicken curry was tender and very heavily spiced. It came with a bean soup, assorted roasted veggies, fresh xuecai (loved this addition!), pickled veggies, and basmati rice *Garlic Naan - Always a hit for me. They do it right *Roti - Healthy option to soak up the meal. Nothing crazy, but I asked for some ghee on the side to dip in haha Service here is excellent. Prices super reasonable. Will be coming back

I was starving after work and craving Indian food--with a twist. I found this spot near my job in Sunnyvale and decided to give it a try. The menu features a mix of Indian and Nepali cuisine, with plenty of vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. The paneer momos were delicious! I also tried their samosas, veggie chow mein, and lacha paratha with tikka masala sauce. Everything was flavorful and well-prepared. The food was great, the customer service was excellent, and the place has a warm, family-friendly vibe. I'll definitely be back!

Went here for lunch. The friendly host helped us find a table. The restaurant has a nice ambiance and is spacious. We ordered the veg and chicken (kothey) momos along with the mustang aloo. Everything was very flavorful. The momos frankly didnt need any sauce with it. Also the green covering of the veg momo actually had spinach instead of green food color that some of the other places use. Mustang aloo was also tasty. Spicy, kinda crunchy on the outside and soft inside. Will be back here for more.

Paneer Momo - 6 Pc jhol style

We were very excited to have Nepali momos and this met and exceeded our expectations. We tried three styles of momos: Paneer jhol style (ie in a curry) Veggie kothey style (ie stemmed followed by pan fried) Chicken chili style (sauteed in a red chili sauce with bell peppers and onions) Apart from that, we also ordered the chicken kebab with a salad, chow mein, and samosa. Each dish was delicious. There wasn't a single thing that we didn't enjoy. Five stars for flavor and taste but also for the service. We reached almost at closing time but they served us with a smile and didn't rush us at all. It also matched their decor which is warm and inviting. Would hands down recommend this restaurant for food, service, and ambiance.

A little spicy and heavy to my taste. We got the potato fries, which had a lot of gravy. I expected it to be on the drier side. The momos, especially the jhol momos are amazing. They have a really good jhol gravy. The fried was also very good, but nothing stood out. The staff were very friendly and also helped us in ordering when we told our preferences. Overall, a nice place for a not so fancy meal.

The pickles and hummus on the side for both plates are a very nice touch they help cut some of the richness down. The fries are the underrated gem also. The way they are fried and cooked here, I think they do fresh batches every time, that is the vibe I get with this place. The hibiscus juice was also really refreshing to drink. It's a small place but most of the tables were all seated by people, and people were coming in and ordering to go, so you know it's good! Definitely give this place a try!

This one was disappointing enough to feel worth documenting. My boyfriend and I ended up here after attempting to go to Treehouse nearby (which had an hour wait--unsurprising given the concept). This restaurant was a short walk away, which actually worked out well given how congested the area was, and we walked in optimistic. The space itself is very large, but nearly empty for a weekday evening. It felt family-owned and casual, which I usually love--many of my favorite restaurants fall into that category. Unfortunately, the experience didn't reflect that warmth. We were given a different menu than other diners, which immediately felt odd. Service wasn't overtly rude, but it was noticeably unwelcoming--almost a "why are you here?" tone rather than hospitality. We ordered hummus and feta, both of which were surprisingly expensive for the portion and quality. We were told bread would arrive automatically with the hummus, but it didn't--despite asking multiple times. When it finally arrived, it was poorly cooked and no longer served any purpose, as we were already well into the meal. Despite the restaurant being far from busy, our mains took about 30 minutes. One dish--a kebab--was fine but very forgettable for a $30+ price point. My dish, dumplings in a yogurt-based sauce, was honestly inedible. I left it untouched and mentioned that it didn't taste good. The response was simply, "Oh, so you don't want a box?" No attempt to fix the issue or even acknowledge it. What sealed it for me was the overall condition of the place. Dirty cutlery, a generally rundown interior, and a lack of attention to cleanliness made it uncomfortable to eat there. I'm not picky about ambiance when the food and service deliver--but here, nothing quite worked together. The whole experience felt very turn-and-burn, as if the restaurant relies on proximity to a popular area rather than repeat customers. I left feeling like unless you're part of a specific in-crowd, this isn't a place that's trying very hard to win you over. Personally, I wouldn't return, and I wouldn't recommend it--especially given the pricing and the many better options nearby.

I was blown away with the dish the chicken wrap... man. I'm not sure what kind of bread, pita was used but it was fantastic. a huge wrap with lettuce, onion chicken, sauce and other veggies. It was so messy and hard to eat with your hands so we resorted to eating with a fork and knife. Unreal. Unreal. massive portions again which are a theme here. But holy smokes this was so good. The chicken has a nice char, but is also juicy and saucy. the spongy pita neutralizes the bombardment of flavor from the meat, and the veggies compliment everything with some crunch and texture. Service was great and very helpful. They were extremely friendly and a delight to talk with. We will be back 5/5
