We came in for dinner on Father's Day since all my dad ever wants is Indian food. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The interior is very well done, which created a nice ambiance.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] However, the food and service can definitely be better. Food-wise, some dishes were good, while some were very forgettable. I really enjoyed the Chicken Biryani and Chicken Barrah. The chicken in both was incredibly well cooked and flavorful. The Goat Roghan Josh was just okay; I wish it had more flavor and that it came with more goat. The Garlic Naan was terrible--I've had better naan from supermarkets, so I would definitely skip this in the future. Considering the high price point, I wish that the portions were bigger. Additionally, the service was TERRIBLE. It was incredibly slow and inattentive. It took us a long time to get water or even the menu, and they didn't realize that they hadn't brought out any of our dishes when a server asked us if we were ready to pay and leave (like what ???). Thus, I won't be back.

I got the chicken tikka masala and chicken leg tandoori. It was so flavorful and delicious. Food comes out piping hot especially the tandoori chicken and I couldn't stop eating the masala sauce. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's decorated so nicely in here Also.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Will definitely be back!

We came here for a nice indian dinner after reading all the amazing reviews. But we were majorly disappointed. The service was terrible. We made a reservation for 8pm . [[HIGHLIGHT]]When we arrived, the staff recommended we sit next to a table that was filthy and unclean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We asked the server to give us another table , so we waited 10 minutes before they cleaned another table and let us sit. We overlooked the initial experience and placed an order for appetizers and main course. The appetizer came 40 mins after the order was placed. And we had to remind the server to fetch it. Worst case- the galouti kebab was dry and tasteless piece of meat. The main course was disappointing too. Lacked salt and flavor in general. Would not recommend this restaurant, the original one in Santa clara is wayyy better!

Came late on a Saturday night (9 PM) and it was still busy with people coming in after me. Waiters and hosts were extremely friendly, giving me great recommendations and making good conversation. Interior was extremely clean (looks recently remodeled), spacious, and good temperature! Service was slightly weird (-1) as waiters had drawn out conversations with other tables and didn't come over to take my order for a long time. Also asked for water 6 times but it never came! Food was still very good! FOOD: Goat Rogan Josh (8/10) - Great flavor, huge portions and a ton of tender goat meat inside. Wished it was a bit spicier (I asked) but it still tasted delicious! Garlic Naan (10/10) - Some of the best Garlic Naan I've had in the Bay Area. Perfect crisp on the exterior, super fluffy and not dry on the inside. Beef Keema Naan (6/10) - Beef and Naan was flavored well, but was a bit hard to eat. Mostly fell apart as I picked it up.

The food is delicious and the staffs are very friendly. My partner and I had a really good dinner here. Very traditional Indian food that couldn't go wrong. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Very good environment with beautiful tablewares![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

This place was amazing. Definitely worth checking out. My wife was fasting so we came in right before 7pm. The interior is really nice, very modern and upscale. The service was quick and attentive. They brought us free snacks to break our fast: fresh fruit, some fried pakora, and a date. Also including a small cup of Rose water. We ordered some buttered naan, chicken kabobs and chicken curry. Everything was so fresh, full of spices. The naan was amazing, honestly my favorite. Tasted as if it was just made. We will be keeping this place in mind for when we are in the area. After our meal they brought us hot towels as well as a falooda for dessert. Definitely worth it.

Came to try it after reading all the positive reviews, we ordered few items to go, the taste wasn't that good , the chicken tikka masala was sweetened like they had added a bunch of extra sugar to it and there was so much oil that there was a layer just floating on the food

Rogan Josh is my favorite dish and I always order it here because it's usually amazing, but this time I was surprised the portion of goat was very small and mostly bone, which was disappointing compared to past visits; however, the service was still very good.

I used to visit their Santa Clara location all the time when my friend used to go to Santa Clara University and stayed in the dorms nearby. I always thought their food was excellent. It used to be a dive in those days. I was happy to see a nicer location open up here. The food is still excellent and the service was a lot better than I remember in their OG location. I am a fan!

excellent food at the Cupertino location! went to santa clara location before [[HIGHLIGHT]]Cupertino location opened and this is much more relaxed and quiet.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] personalized service too.

    Tandoori fish

We've been to the other Kabab & Curry location in Santa Clara, but this location is a completely different experience. After ordering takeout a few times, this was the second time we dined in. The food was really amazing, with nice presentation and delicious spices and flavors. I felt the food had more subtle tastes. For example the tandoori was the best I've had as it wasn't as over powering as many so the tastes of the fish itself was more pronounced. We also had the Lamb/goat Korma which was one of the best curry I've had. This is one of the few Indian restaurants where we take home any leftover curry sauce to use in our own cooking. The Samosa, Naan and Masala chai were also very good. The service is also 5 star. Attentive, friendly and warm. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere is standout, as they have really comfortable seating, enough space that you don't feel crowded, nice decor and dishes, and a relaxing ambiance.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Much different than the restaurants with the glaring bright lights.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]We noticed guests enjoyed staying longer than we see in most restaurants.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It's now our favorite place to go when we want to have a relaxing dinner after a busy day. This is truly a unique Indian restaurant with a combination of things we haven't found in any other place in the Bay Area

We came on Saturday evening and they had just run out of biryani which made me SO sad but it's a good reason to come back! It's spacious with plenty of seating so would be great for bigger parties too. My bf has a nut allergy so we could only order the andhra chicken curry and the goat curry (which are the same, btw just different meats.) The flavor was truly flavor-ing, and it had just the right amount of kick. I loved the spiciness!! Only note, there were quite a bit of bones in both entrees and I'm taking off a star for this. In the chicken especially, it seemed there were more bones than actual meat which was sad because the chicken was SUPER tasty. Tender and juicy and held the curry just perfect. The naan was also delicious as I prefer a thinner, flakier naan and they delivered! Also you MUST get the mango lassi here, they didn't skimp on the mango and it's the perfect reprieve from the spicy meal Will definitely be back to try their biryanis.

The dosa is crisp and the fermented flavor is delicate. The filtered coffee is popular so I had to try it, and I love it. I'm not sure everyone would like it though. It's a strong coffee, slightly bitter even with sugar. The milk is poured with a long pull to create foam. The foam is light, not creamy or velvety like a latte. It's a very small portion in a small cup, and it's HOT, very HOT. I like it but I can see how other people might not. I was confused the first time I went in to eat because seating and ordering is not typical. When you first walk in, you go to the host and they'll give you a number then you walk to the room to your left to order and pay. You're given a chip if you order a coffee or tea and move over to the right. You give your chip to the person preparing the drinks for you. They ask your preference and hand over the very HOT drink. Then you sit at the table with your number on it. Your food is brought over fairly quickly. They bring extra sambar and chutney if needed, no extra charge. The dosa comes filled with turmeric spiced potato and on the side chutney (not my fave) and sambar which is so so good. You break a little dosa and dip and or scoop some of the sambar/ chutney. It's a casual setting and it gets pretty busy, especially on weekends. There are a ton of these types of restaurants and I'm pretty certain I've found the best one here!

Very efficient ordering process and delivered to your table. Tables are numbered. The filtered coffee is really good. We got it medium level (versus strong) with jaggerty (a type of sugar versus regular sugar). The coffee chef pours the coffee into small tin cups and then pours hot milk on top and tops it with frothy milk foam. My husband and I ordered a Masala Dosa which came with a white chutney and red chutney and sambar (soup); and a Mega Tiffin which had a more tightly rolled Masala Dosa (with potatoes, greens, onions inside, sambar, the 2 chutneys, 1 idyly (white bun), 2 vadais (donut shaped savory fritter), pongol (creamy grain - lentil and rice combo). I also had a mango lassi. The dosas were crisp and fresh and the filling was not too spicy for us. We really liked the dosas and the variety of other dishes that are also served. The coffee was very good. We had considered getting the Mylapore dosa, but the cashier mentioned it is spicy so we opted for the Masala one instead. Staff were friendly and helpful as we told them it was our first time there. We parked in the parking lot. Our server said often the parking lot is full and people park nearby and walk in. The restaurant was fairly full at that time with only a few tables available. Ambiance was casual and nice with high ceilings, booths or tables. We sat in a booth. Table was pretty and lots of natural light. You go in and get a table number. You take the menu and table card to the cashier and order. Then, you get your coffee and/order mango lassi (or other drink) and take it to your numbered table. A server brings your food out to your table.

We devoured it Sabudana Vada - Crispy outside, soft inside, and just the right size. Didn't care much for the chutney though. Sabudana Khichdi - This one didn't work for me; it leaned a bit too sweet. Ukadiche Modak & Puranpoli - The stars of the meal! Highly recommend both.
