We came in for dinner on Father's Day since all my dad ever wants is Indian food. The interior is very well done, which created a nice ambiance. However, the food and service can definitely be better. Food-wise, some dishes were good, while some were very forgettable. I really enjoyed the Chicken Biryani and Chicken Barrah. The chicken in both was incredibly well cooked and flavorful. The Goat Roghan Josh was just okay; I wish it had more flavor and that it came with more goat. The Garlic Naan was terrible--I've had better naan from supermarkets, so I would definitely skip this in the future. Considering the high price point, I wish that the portions were bigger. Additionally, the service was TERRIBLE. It was incredibly slow and inattentive. It took us a long time to get water or even the menu, and they didn't realize that they hadn't brought out any of our dishes when a server asked us if we were ready to pay and leave (like what ???). Thus, I won't be back.

I got the chicken tikka masala and chicken leg tandoori. It was so flavorful and delicious. Food comes out piping hot especially the tandoori chicken and I couldn't stop eating the masala sauce. It's decorated so nicely in here Also. Will definitely be back!

The food is delicious and the staffs are very friendly. My partner and I had a really good dinner here. Very traditional Indian food that couldn't go wrong. Very good environment with beautiful tablewares!

We came here for a nice indian dinner after reading all the amazing reviews. But we were majorly disappointed. The service was terrible. We made a reservation for 8pm . When we arrived, the staff recommended we sit next to a table that was filthy and unclean. We asked the server to give us another table , so we waited 10 minutes before they cleaned another table and let us sit. We overlooked the initial experience and placed an order for appetizers and main course. The appetizer came 40 mins after the order was placed. And we had to remind the server to fetch it. Worst case- the galouti kebab was dry and tasteless piece of meat. The main course was disappointing too. Lacked salt and flavor in general. Would not recommend this restaurant, the original one in Santa clara is wayyy better!

Came to try it after reading all the positive reviews, we ordered few items to go, the taste wasn't that good , the chicken tikka masala was sweetened like they had added a bunch of extra sugar to it and there was so much oil that there was a layer just floating on the food

Rogan Josh is my favorite dish and I always order it here because it's usually amazing, but this time I was surprised the portion of goat was very small and mostly bone, which was disappointing compared to past visits; however, the service was still very good.

Came late on a Saturday night (9 PM) and it was still busy with people coming in after me. Waiters and hosts were extremely friendly, giving me great recommendations and making good conversation. Interior was extremely clean (looks recently remodeled), spacious, and good temperature! Service was slightly weird (-1) as waiters had drawn out conversations with other tables and didn't come over to take my order for a long time. Also asked for water 6 times but it never came! Food was still very good! FOOD: Goat Rogan Josh (8/10) - Great flavor, huge portions and a ton of tender goat meat inside. Wished it was a bit spicier (I asked) but it still tasted delicious! Garlic Naan (10/10) - Some of the best Garlic Naan I've had in the Bay Area. Perfect crisp on the exterior, super fluffy and not dry on the inside. Beef Keema Naan (6/10) - Beef and Naan was flavored well, but was a bit hard to eat. Mostly fell apart as I picked it up.

This place was amazing. Definitely worth checking out. My wife was fasting so we came in right before 7pm. The interior is really nice, very modern and upscale. The service was quick and attentive. They brought us free snacks to break our fast: fresh fruit, some fried pakora, and a date. Also including a small cup of Rose water. We ordered some buttered naan, chicken kabobs and chicken curry. Everything was so fresh, full of spices. The naan was amazing, honestly my favorite. Tasted as if it was just made. We will be keeping this place in mind for when we are in the area. After our meal they brought us hot towels as well as a falooda for dessert. Definitely worth it.

I used to visit their Santa Clara location all the time when my friend used to go to Santa Clara University and stayed in the dorms nearby. I always thought their food was excellent. It used to be a dive in those days. I was happy to see a nicer location open up here. The food is still excellent and the service was a lot better than I remember in their OG location. I am a fan!

    Tandoori fish

We've been to the other Kabab & Curry location in Santa Clara, but this location is a completely different experience. After ordering takeout a few times, this was the second time we dined in. The food was really amazing, with nice presentation and delicious spices and flavors. I felt the food had more subtle tastes. For example the tandoori was the best I've had as it wasn't as over powering as many so the tastes of the fish itself was more pronounced. We also had the Lamb/goat Korma which was one of the best curry I've had. This is one of the few Indian restaurants where we take home any leftover curry sauce to use in our own cooking. The Samosa, Naan and Masala chai were also very good. The service is also 5 star. Attentive, friendly and warm. The atmosphere is standout, as they have really comfortable seating, enough space that you don't feel crowded, nice decor and dishes, and a relaxing ambiance. Much different than the restaurants with the glaring bright lights. We noticed guests enjoyed staying longer than we see in most restaurants. It's now our favorite place to go when we want to have a relaxing dinner after a busy day. This is truly a unique Indian restaurant with a combination of things we haven't found in any other place in the Bay Area

The chicken tikka masala itself comes with a delicious flaky naan that's similar to Chinese scallion pancake. It pairs perfectly with the dish itself. The crazy curry fries were also so good and saucy. I was so happy that we were splitting this dish six ways, because I would not have any space to try it had I gone individually. My friend got the Tikka Burger, and he was knocked OUT. It looked so amazing and smelled divine. We also got the yogurt dip to share, and it was so savory and creamy. It's a small, no-frills place with a very basic setup--but honestly, the food is what truly matters here. We ordered chicken seekh kabab, chicken tandoori, chicken kadhai, along with garlic naan and butter rotis. The chicken seekh kababs were juicy, but they had a very strong and slightly off-putting turmeric flavor. It felt like there was a bit too much turmeric, which overpowered the other spices and slightly ruined the overall taste for me. However, the chicken tandoori completely made up for it. It was juicy, spicy, and perfectly charred--exactly how a good tandoori should be. The highlight for me was the chicken kadhai. Usually, I find chicken kadhai to be too tomato-heavy and overly tangy for my liking, but this one was perfectly balanced. The flavors were rich without being overpowering, and paired with the soft garlic naan and fresh tandoori roti, it was an absolute delight. Overall, we enjoyed our visit. Despite the simple ambience, the quality of the food shines through. We'll definitely be going back to try more dishes from the menu.

The rice was seasoned well, meat was cooked to a perfect medium and wasn't overcooked, chicken wasn't dry, shrimp was great too, and the bread was nice and soft. As for the appetizer, I'm not sure what everything was, but everything on that plate was so good. I'm not a fan of lamb, but the items on the chef's platter were good and didn't have that lamb aroma and taste--I wouldn't even think it was lamb lol. I was the newbie here and my friend has frequented this place a lot so I leaned on him for recommendations. In short, this is comfort food full of flavor though it might take a little time to get your food, it's all made fresh! L O C A T I O N Off of El Camino Real (I know that's not really descriptive as El Camino is VERY long) and Lawrence Expressway (now we're getting closer), in a shopping area with a Big Lots and 24 Hour Fitness. The plaza is called Lawrence Expressway Plaza. Lots of parking so easy to find one near the entrance. I N S I D E Fairly cozy with booths to sit in. There's also a few outdoor tables for seating if you'd want to eat al fresco. They have a water and tea station which is nice as well as serve your own plates and utensils. M E N U Fairly extensive with Tandoori dishes, curries, vegetarian faire, biryanis, naans, wraps...my head was dizzy from all the choices. But I went with the recommended Bangen Bhartha, Chicken Biryani, and a plain naan. ~ Bangen Bhartha ~ The description: a unique blend of eggplant, tomatoes, onions, cream and spices. And indeed it was. You can taste that they grilled the veggies which reminded me of a Filipino grilled eggplant dish. I love a good grilled eggplant and this went great with the plain naan we had. ~ Chicken Biryani ~ The description: Tender pieces of chicken cooked with basmati rice and spice flavoured sauce garnished with raita. That raita though....man I saved what I had after I finished that dish and used it on other food I had in the house. I love a yogurt sauce. It also complimented well with the chicken biryani. Again full of flavor but beware of stray chicken bones and hard pieces when chewing the rice. It is a bone in chicken that they cook which helps with the flavor of the dish not so much for your teeth. Also complimented well with the bangen bhartha. ~ Plain Naan ~ The naan was plain and I had to have the plain one as much as I'd love the garlic one as I do have garlic sensitivities. But it was crisp, chewy, sizeable and complimented our eggplant dish well. S E R V I C E Basically you order at the front, they give you a number. You sit down, they bring you the food, you get all your utensils and plates and drinks. Very bare bones in terms of service but kind of what I expected. Food did take some time but again I think that's due to them freshly cooking everything which can take some time. Then afterwards, you bring up your number and pay. Easily paid by credit card. O V E R A L L It was delicious. I would definitely come back to get everything I had again but I would probably venture into their tandooris or wraps to try it out. The menu's very extensive so grab a friend or two to be able to try out more stuff!

In my naivety I hoped it was some natural food color using beetroot. But I later learnt from them that it was not. It left me appalled at the liberal use of such toxic artificial colors. Colors aside, the chicken itself was delicious. But I will make sure to ask them beforehand next time and order something that doesn't have colors. *naan-5/5- this was amazing. Hot from the tandoor. I'd gotten the palak paneer, my favorite Indian dish and my usual basis for comparison, with kulcha naan and it was okay, but nothing to really write home about. The palak paneer was a bit sweeter than I had expected, but other than that, just fine. My coworker and I also split vegetable pakora that came with a somewhat spicy sauce (I am a spice wimp, but he is very much not), and those were pretty good. I don't quite remember what my coworker got as his main, maybe one of the dal dishes, but he also thought it was fine. The location itself is pretty small, and seems to be more for takeout than sit down diners, although that is what we did. Parking was pretty easy in the plaza, but that might be because the pizza place next door appeared to be closed? Things felt slightly dingy, but I think maybe in truth things were just a bit worn, right down to the Corelle plates which seemed like they had been in service for a long time. Decor is pretty sparse, but the lady behind the counter was nice enough when we were ordering. Overall, not a bad experience, but also not much of a draw for me.
