My sister recommended and I decided to give them a try. Upon arrival I was quickly greeted and to my surprise there was no wait waiting clients. The decor is a bit dated but the warm and attentive service made up for it! I had a pedicure which was $40 and gel polish for my toes was an additional $15. My favorite nail salon! I'm so glad they're open and their hours are somewhat back to what they were. The staff is always friendly. Yes, according to some of the reviews here, they may come across as aloof or "having attitude" but I think people tend to forget other cultures. Anyway, back to the pleasantries...I like how they ask what you want done and don't pressure you into anything else. That's always appreciated. So today I got a regular manicure and pedicure (taking a break from gel and so happy they understood!). My son's girlfriend got a full set. For all three services, it was less than a hundred dollars. My fill was done very poorly , I asked for a natural polish color and got clear and one coat of soft pink tips you can barley see, only to be charged a overpriced amount . 60$ didn't have to cut or shape , repaired one tip . Disappointed service from a rude technician. Not clean ! read more

They reused the foam toe dividers that has paint on them then continued to throw them into the drawer next to the chair for reuse once again. As well as they didnt clean/ sanitize the foot baths in any way shape or form they ran some water then went over it with an already used sponge no soap or anything along those lines no liners so that they didnt have to stress cleaning as much. As well as my girlfriend was trying to get her acrylics taken off the worker then started chipping away at her nails with a cuticle clipper and another acrylic nail, without soaking them in the slightest after saying they had been glued and was sitting there wincing in pain while getting her nails ripped off of her nail bed. and ended up slicing her finger open. We then came back to get our money back and they were going to try and give us 35$ of 135$ bill . read more

First and foremost, the 2 places near here with 5star ratings were closed and one was unable to take a walk in. So I had no choice but to come here because it's the closest one ON FOOT. So I can say I walked in and asked for a SOAK OFF of the acrylic nails done by Arizonas finest nail tech, so what is on my nails is not cheap products and very good quality, I mean no lifting in over 4 weeks type good. Hence why I wanted a SOAK OFF! They're removing my nails with another nail n nail clippers so I'm telling them that's why I asked for a soak off because they're complaining that it's difficult !!! Anyways they continue and then get to one of my nails that's already brittle and half way not attached, he broke it, then proceeds to tell me it's broken Smh which it wasn't before he started removing it with another nail and damn nail clippers smh I new it was a not attached to my skin all the way which is the main fkn reason I wanted a fucken soak off!!! Now i have half a fkn that I was trying to save to have a whole one and let naturally regrow the way it's supposed to ! I'm pissed when a customer says or asks for something you should probably accommodate giving the fact we pay for these services! Who cares if it takes too long YOU AINT BUSY & I was willing to wait, giving I know what the time is of a soak off !!!! Cockroaches and bad service. Went to have a nice afternoon with my mom with manicures and pedicures. While my mom was getting her pedicure the woman doing her nails put the UV light on her foot and a cockroach crawled out! No base coat on my gel pedicure. They also charged us $15 per service for adding gel ($15 for each manicure & $15 for each pedicure). If you get gel they change your service from manicure & pedicure ($60) to shellac manicure $35 and shellac pedicure $55. Somehow that totaled $190 to the woman who rang me up so I had to do the math with her and show her it equates to $180. BEWARE. We understood why the place was empty when we walked in at the end of our service. read more

I paid for both of our pedi my mani and eyebrows my daughter paid for her nails the lady charged her $45 for a fill in with gel polish we will never go here again because they are not charging people the right amount when I ask the lady why is it $45 she said because her nails are long and gel is 15 this was the last time we go here there are to many nails salon that won't do that to the special needs people read more

I've been going to this salon for a little now solely to get my eyebrows done because the woman that does them is that good. However I have to say her attitude is horrendous she never smiles nor does she greet anyone. Everytime I go in and ask to just have my eyerbrows done she says something to the guys in her language and walks away with an attitude. I only go to her because of her skill and honestly I haven't found/looked for anyone else. But yesterday I decided to get a gel manicure. One it took him about 40 minutes to do one hand!! At a point in time I kept pulling away so he would speed up a little bit more. He also was extremely rough. Which I told him and nothing seemed to change. But the worst part of it all is that just hours afterwards my nails began to peel!! I'm so annoyed not to mention I paid $38 for a gel manicure and my eyebrows. Which didn't strike me as odd till I got home. It seems as if they might be including their tip in the price because something doesn't add up. So needless to say I will be looking for a new eyebrow technician for next time because I'm done with this place for good. read more

I LOVE this place. I haven't gotten thier names down yet, but soon. This is the first place that I have been to that my acrylic nails stay on, they always do a great job with my fills and I have never had to wait for very long. The first time I went, I treated myself to a birthday present with a full set of acrylic nails and pedicure with gel polish, as well as a set of eyelashes. I felt gorgeous when I left. The next 2 fills I tried a couple of "other" nail shops, but my nails were not as good as the first time. After the first "other" place, my nails chipped and started coming loose. The 2nd "other" place put the acrylic on way too thick and had to file a lot off the sides, so I decided I would go back to California Nails II. When she looked at my nails, she asked me where did I get them done because they were super thick. I told her, and she shook her head at me and said, don't go back there again. I have not been anywhere else since and my nails have not chipped or come loose and they are not too thick. The guy does my nails sometimes or he will do a pretty design after the lady does my fill and/or pedicure. I will keep going to them as long as they are there. read more

I have been coming here since 2013. The staff and owner are very courteous. Appointments are available. My favorite technicians are Tommy for fingers/tips/designs/pedicures; Jenn is amazing for eyebrows/Brazilians/inexpensive facials(I look in my 20's, instead of 38!; Tina is great art/pedicures. If you don't like to wait 12-4pm on Mondays thru Wednesdays are your best bet! Or make an appointment. If you desire your paint to last longer,opt for the gel/shellac a few extra dollars get me weeks off gorgeous color, that lasts at the beach and during full flop season. Don't judge the business on a few bad apples. Ask for Tommy and you still be pleased!!!! read more

I gave one star because I was not able to give zero stores. I had the worse experience here. Mainly, the language barrier created HUGE problems as no one there speaks any English. I had a pedicure, which was what I would expect, except for the fact that the lady did not put the color of polish on my nails that I had requested. No biggie BUT... I had arrived at the place to get my eyebrows done for a friend's wedding. The lady did not understand me so she started doing my eyelashes instead of my eyebrows. I tried to tell her but she spoke NO English (not a word). I had never had my eyelashes done. Since I had never had them done before, I did not know that I could not blink my eyes. This may sound like common sense but if you've never had your eyelashes done, like me, you may not know this! The lady may have tried to communicate this to me, but I could not understand a word that she said. B/c I did not know otherwise, I blinked. As a result of blinking, my eyes were glued shut and they burned like fire. I was not sure if my eyes would ever open and if the pain would ever go away. I had such a difficult time removing the glue and the eyelash extensions. My eyes were severely infected. Needless to say, I think that if you're working near the eye, you should at least speak a word of English. This could have been prevented. So, I ended up going to the eye doctor to get all the extensions and glue out (and I also needed medication for the eye infection). All is good now but I would not suggest going here. Did I mention that I was still charged for everything?! I'm not sure when I'll be back in Norfolk but I won't be coming here! read more

It's a really good place! Though they do speak a lot of Vietnamese, I also speak Vietnamese but I can tell you that they are not talking about you! I went here today for a deluxe pedicure($32) and a full set with gel polish(22+$). My pedicure and nail service was okay minus the messed up "french tips". When I went to pay they did not tell me my total and somehow it ended up being 79$. The man that did my nails was better than the rest of the females that do my nails (especially acrylic ones) he was very nice and professional and really knows how to do nails.
