We've been to Philly a couple of times and it's ruined Jeremy on local cheesesteaks. Now that captain Harvey's original location has bit the dust, we're looking for another cheesesteak place. Jeremy never loved captain Harvey's so we'd rather try a new place in hopes of finding a takeaway that truly slaps (that's what the kids are saying these days, right?) Apparently there aren't any cheesesteak places in the area that use Chez whiz so we're probably not going to have much luck satisfying Jeremy. Personally, I find the stuff tasteless. A friend suggested we try california pizza and wings because it was his go to after getting his nails done at the salon next door. So, what the hell? Let's give them a try. They are currently the winners, only because we've already struck out fillettis (aka Merritt sub) and a couple of others I don't even remember. However, that does not mean that we will return. The cheesesteaks were good but the breaded mushrooms were horrible- mostly breading. My cheesesteak hit harder the next day when I ate the leftover half. Jeremy was disappointed that they didn't have garlic parmesan wings. He opted for honey garlic, which were tasty, but he can be pretty picky when it comes to wings. He also didn't care for the roll of his chesesteak, but said he'd totally go back for another, in a pinch. read more

This place used to have good food and if using delivery it was fast. Evidentally something changed. I ordered a whole cheesesteak sub. The roll was skinny. The little bit of steak that was there got put in the center. There wasn't even enough to spread it out to the ends. 2" of roll on each end only had condiments on it. To top it off 2" of the roll was hard on one end. This will be the last time I spend my money there. read more

As you can tell by the picture of the food; I couldn't wait to eat the food before taking a pic. The serving sizes were larger than expected! I have enough for two meals. The food tasted delicious, and was cooked at a reasonable time. The restaurant is a small business, but very clean and welcoming. read more

Our first time ordering & I have to say, Awesome, hot food & fast delivery! The nacho cheese on the western fries & cheese has a pretty good kick & the western fries are cooked to perfection! The fish sub is fresh & hot, so are Mexican style food my hubby bought! Excellent prices! Even the 2 liter sodas were really cold, which is nice because some places send a warm soda, that you don't want to drink. Also, they followed any special instructions for our food! We will be repeat customers & recommend them to our friends! Great job! read more

The pizzas are good here! Their crusts are crisp yet soft in the inside which I like. I enjoy their chocolate cake from time to time when I get a sweet tooth. I would recommend this place over chain pizza spots. read more

I've ordered from them numerous times in the past, I've always paid with my debit card and most likely substitute the fries for potato wedges. Tonight, I ordered and had a cash payment order. The delivery driver called from his cell phone and acted like he didn't know how to get into building. (Door code was provided, and previous deliveries always came to 3rd floor). When driver got to my door he snatched money from me and threw food at me and ran back down the steps. My order wasn't right, we had French fries instead of wedges too. At this point, I called and asked for management. He then interrogated EVERYTHING I said. And also denied that they substitute wedges for fries. At this point, this is the last straw because in the past delivery drivers wouldn't even walk into my building and management didn't do anything then either. Shame on me for giving them multiple chances because their food was decent even though their customer service SUCKS!]!!! read more

The service here is abhorrent. The delivery estimates are continuously 45min to an hour off. Every time I called for an update they insisted it would be 30 seconds. In fact our order was delivered once 45 min after the scheduled time and then an hour and 5 min after the scheduled time. Spend your takeout money elsewhere!!!! read more

I haven't had pizza in a while but I know what good pizza taste like. And this place has pretty good pizza. The bread is crispy, the ingredients are simple and not too oily. I've been to this place and I tell you those pics are bull. The food is average, ive been to worse. Don't be fooled by the pics.

The delivery driver brought food to my house and I asked him if he had the right address. He said our house number (not the name of the road) and I said maybe my wife ordered food and didn't tell me. Then I leave to pick my wife up from work. I asked her if she ordered food and she said no. We get home and she looks on the receipt and the house number was the same as ours but a different road. Few minutes later driver comes back and is accusing me of telling him the wrong address. I tell him that I had said the house number was right but he didn't tell me a street name. And he is arguing with me over his mistake. They take the food back. I hope they gave the customer fresh food and something they gave to another house. read more

The other day we got a menu from a "new" pizza and wings place located on Holabird Avenue. It's named California Pizza and Wings. Decided to order some food tonight for dinner. We decided on subs and "Jumbo Onion RIngs". I was told the order would arrive in 35 minutes. We live about 3 minutes from this store. Anyway, it took closer to 45 minutes before the food arrived, and the onion rings were that minced, molded NASTY onion CRAP! And, they did not get my wife's sub correct. We asked for pepperoni on it and she didn't get any pepperoni. Won't be ordering from this place again. DISGUSTING!!! read more
