The service is hit or miss depending on the person. The quality is decent compared to other places but I would say it is not better.

I would give this a 0 if I could. Went in this place for the first time today and am very disappointed. I requested dipping powder as my service. The guy rushed through my nails and was very rough, and he did not do a good job. All my nails are different shapes and lengths and they're all extremely thick. I even asked for them to be thinner. He asked me if I wanted a Valentine's Day design to which i said yes. The pictures are what I left with. I should have said something while I was in the store, but I always have a hard time correcting the technician in the moment, especially now that COVID has hurt their business. I Even tipped this guy because I still (somehow) felt bad that they gave me bad service. Regardless, I wont be back. read more

A big thank you to California Pro Nails for the foot fungal infection and the blistered fingernails from your poor quality products. Needless to say, I will never be back. It took me weeks to clear up the blisters on my fingers, and the foot fungus required medical follow up for over two months. It really does pay for the consumer to check out the salon before sitting in the chair. Make sure you look at cleanliness, and sanitary conditions of foot-bowls that you are supposed to soak your feet in. It is really worth going to a reputable place with great sanitary conditions, it might cost you a little more, but it is well worth your effort read more

I have been getting pedicures here for 3 years or so. I have gotten to know Jay and also Kimberley and her daughter who helps sometimes. They are really good people that dote on you as a customer Looks like some of the reviewers have been here one time or so and I am not challenging their claims I just want to tell you in 3+ years of being a regular, I have never experienced anything but good quality work and neither has my wife. I have changed my mind about this place. Reason 1 - I decided I wanted a pedicure one evening. I phoned the store to check their hours and the woman said they were open until 8:00 pm. This was 6:00. I went to the store about 7:30, which I know is a pain in the ass to them since they close in half an hour, but I've found that some places don't mind and will stay open a few minutes late in this case. But, the shop was already closed. Dark and locked up. I noticed that there was one person still in the store working on paperwork. So I called to see what they would say. I asked why they were closed if it clearly says on the door that they're open until 8:00. The reply? "We had a store meeting tonight, so we closed early. So sorry". Okay, well why didn't the woman who answered earlier TELL me the store was closed for a meeting? "Oh, I had a family emergency so I had to close the store early. So sorry". Seriously? I'm not sure if one of these was true or if they just felt like closing so they closed. If this is the case then they need to change the hours on their door to read "Open 10 AM to whenever-the-hell-we-feel-like-it PM". Reason 2 - I finally did get in for a mani/pedi a few days later. I realize that most nail salons only accept tips in cash, but this time it slipped my mind and I had no cash on me at all. (I paid with a credit card and they don't give you the option to tip on a card at this place.) I explained to them the problem and apologized profusely. I told them I could bring back some cash or I could bring it in another time, as I usually get my nails done every other week. The three people working conferred in the backroom about this before sending the manager out to tell me that they don't allow checks, but in my case they would make an exception so I could leave a tip. Since my nails were wet, I couldn't write a check. So the manager stood next to my chair for the remaining five minutes while my nails dried and then leaned over my shoulder to watch me write the check and make sure I did indeed leave a tip. This really annoyed me--I don't mind leaving tips for people but I HATE feeling like I'm obligated to do so. I think it's very poor taste to demand a tip. So once again, I'm searching for a new nail salon! read more

I have to say, that this is a fantastic place. I have been to several nail salons this year, as my favorite closed last year. OMG they are fast, friendly, and inexpensive. The pedis are amazing. I went in originally because I had a broken nail, all the way down to mid finger bed. Ouch!! I went to 2 nails salons and they refused to fix it for at 4 days, because of the tenderness. This salon, took me right in, treated it with TLC, and fixed it for only $5.00!! I have returned many times, often embarrassingly near close at night, and they were real appreciative and courteous. My husband now goes there for a pedi, he liked the staff so much. The prices are real reasonable and the service is amazing. The other salons jobs, just didn't last long..This salons quality seems to last longer than most. Don't know why, but does. I would recommend them to everyone in the northland. read more

I will never go back to this place! I went for a gel manicure and one of the girls talked me into doing a dipping manicure which is actually $10 more than a gel manicure but she said it would last longer. The girl that talked me into trying dipping started my manicure but then a man walked in and for some reason they transferred me to his station. She went and gave herself a pedicure while this guy struggled to do the dipping technique correctly. He finally puts a topcoat on and then realizes he skipped a step! What?!? So he files the topcoat off, does the skipped step and then the topcoat finally. It looked like crap is what I thought but I'm so reluctant to make a scene. I go to work the next day and ask a few people what they think....well I was right, it looks horrible AND it was more expensive than normal. Here I am 5 days later and it is already chipped on 3 fingers. I am beyond frustrated and I hope I can prevent someone else from being totally ripped off. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!! read more

I went to this nail salon with my mom and my niece on my birthday. We were going to get a pedicure to end an amazing day. My niece called ahead to secure a spot for three pedicures. When we got there my mom and I were able to get pedicures while my niece pruned up in the water. The pedicure was a little painful with regard to shaping the toe nail and making sure there were no hangnails? I didn't think anything of it. My pedicure finished and I waited briefly for my niece. I'm not sure her pedicure was nearly as long as long as mine or my mom's. We went to pay and learned after payment already been accepted that we couldn't add a tip electronically so we had to pass money around to ensure the technicians received a tip for what I later learned was the most painful and disgusting pedicure ever. So, here's the part you need to know before choosing this company to get a pedicure. Shortly after the pedicure I noticed increasing pain but tried to chalk it up to the pain the technician caused. My pedicure occurred on Monday and by that following Friday I was in so much pain I could hardly put weight on my foot. I started dousing my big toe in hydrogen peroxide to clean it. My nail bed was so swollen it looked taught and red. By Sunday I couldn't walk on it and forget about bumping it.... OUCH! Monday morning I hobbled to the shower to complete my ritual of cleaning the toe and then dousing it in hydrogen peroxide. After cleaning it I propped my foot on the counter and all of a sudden the left side of my left big toe nail bed started oozing and oozing this white, milky pus. It hadn't been a botched hangnail causing all my pain rather my poor, never had an infection toe actually had an infection....eek!!! I oozed long enough to think I had sprung a leak! It took an additional three days before the puffy, red toe started to look like the toe I had prior to my birthday pedicure. I started to become nervous I would actually need to go to the doctor and probably should have but thankfully I appear to be okay.... three weeks later. read more

I had a good experience here. My gel manicure turned out really nice. The staff were very friendly and welcoming to me. I went on a Tuesday evening around 6pm and was immediately seen. As another reviewer mentioned, they do not have a "tip" line on their card swipe transactions. I paid debit, then realized I couldn't tip, but it wasn't an issue at all for the lady to swipe my card again to pay tip. I plan to go back. read more

Fourth time coming here (2 to have my nails done...2 coming back because they were not done right!)....will not return. The nail techs do not polish the entire nail even when asked. Don't get me wrong they are nice enough....but I go get my nails done to fill the void of me not doing a great job myself. I go to be pampered. ...which does not happen When I arrive and they say pick out your color. Twice now ...my nails have chipped and even peeled completely off. I went yesterday to have them done...they are already starting to peel. $30 is toooooo much to be disappointed.Jay did my redo and did not paint the nail tips as I asked and when a more familiar customer came in... he sent me out the door and failed to set my gel with alcohol...which I did when I went home. A customer should not have to tell a nail tech how to paint nails...huge waste of time and money!!!!! read more

My sister-in-law and I both had our nails done at this salon. In her case, the lady burned her natural nail with the drill. She will never return. I had a full set of nails done by the man and just hated them. The nails were so thick (3/16") I couldn't pick anything up. Doing anything with them on was practically impossible. Everyone that saw my hands remarked at how terrible my nails looked. I wouldn't even consider going back. Furthermore, I would discourage anyone else going to them. I have been going to this nail salon for about 4 1/2 years now and have only had one bad experience. They wax eyebrows for the lowest price around KCMO and there were some months when I didn't have the money to get my nails done. Last month was like that and I tell you what, their pink and white nails lasted the entire month without any breaks or cracks. I was amazed. I knew that my nails always lasted a long time in the 4 1/2 years that I got them done but an entire month! Plus, I could always get in and never had to wait more than 20 minutes. I love Kim. She does the best work and they are all pretty friendly. They never made me feel embarresed when I waited three or even four weeks to get my nails done. The one bad experience I had was when I got a pedicure and the water was kinda cold, but that was my fault for not telling them. This is a good place to get your manicure, pedicure, or facial wax.
