Last week I went here to get my nails done for my sister's wedding on 4 July. I got tips with acrylic powder and red gel nail polish which cost me $70 plus a $10 tip so, $80. Tom was my technician, and he did a great job with the shape, the nail polish was not covering the entire nail on one of my fingers. My fingernails were already growing out and a good length, aside from a few that were not, but I chose not to have my real nails trimmed... the tip of both of my thumbnails have separated from the fake nail which has lessened the integral strength of the application. Service was mediocre tonight. What frustrated me most was the atm machine was out of order and had to use my credit card to pay for purchase. They still charge their extra user card fee when the machine was broke. The young lady at the register could only say "I don't make the rules" when I asked about the the extra charge for using my credit card. AGAIN , all she could say is "I don't make the rules". I told her it isn't our fault that your machine is broken, why should we be penelized. For the 3rd time she states " I don't make the rules". To me it a cheap, tricky and unprofessional way to make more money during the holiday season. You all just made almost five dollars more off my sale. Five dollars isn't a whole lot but multiple that times the number of customers that come in daily. Smiling, accommodating, thorough- even served a nice glass of wine letting me relax comfortably in nice massage chair. Great design output on my nails- simple but look at the detail given to the foundation - these are my real nails and she made the shape natural (not bulky as dips can be) and you can't see the base line between the nail bed and tip to make a nice transition for the design. When the lady applied the top coat of powder, it was full of other colors of powder. Consequently, i not have random red sparkles and other flakes in my black nails. As soon as I sat down my technician offered me a drink and made sure I was comfortable. I can't remember her name, but she as sweet and really paid attention to detail. Found this place by my house recently. Michael is amazing. I did ombre gel nails since it's the hype. He even posted a pic of my nails on Facebook & google. He received compliments off of it and walk-ins. I like very natural nails he understood what I wanted there was no language barrier. Very nice and reasonable. Today I went fancy for my birthday. Let's see how I do with something out of my normal but I definitely love my nails! I recommend making an appointment with Michael. At first glance we were very happy with the looks of the place walking in to our previously scheduled 6pm nail appt. Busy on a Thursday at 6 with multiple techs on both sides for manis & pedis. Front lobby worker seemed very timid & short with incoming guests for check in tho & I had to initiate the check in process convo. Different procedure than I had ever done before with an iPad phone# check in. After I checked in my daughter (whom I made the nail appt for) she picked her color while we waited to be set with her tech (Sarah from what the iPad check in said) & another few customers walked in. One girl was being pretty loud about the fact she didn't have an appt set but insisted on being seen then & there. We waited & waited for over 30 minutes while I watched as the girl that came in after us that didn't have an appt set got called back before us and sat down with a tech before we did. I instantly knew she had been sat at our intended spot with nail tech Sarah. So not being a shy person I made it known we had been waiting for quite a while past our 6pm appt. & asked what time it closed seeing as we'd been told 7pm originally & it was now past 6:30.... Finally we got called back to sit with a lady, we found out later was named Kayla... who was still finishing up another girl when we came over. Kayla changed my whole mood with the place as she was wonderful & very kind & accommodating to us from the get go. She offered us both drinks and instantly gave us wonderful customer service as soon as my daughter sat down with her. Her good service & ability to duplicate the picture my daughter brought in for nail inspiration saved this rating from being less than 4 stars as I was not a happy camper with the situation previous of a girl without appt getting pushed in ahead of us into our intended spot. In a way I feel like we ended up with a better tech anyways but was not happy with having to wait so long. This would have gotten a 5 star review had that not happened with us being pushed back. And the only reason it's not less than 4 stars is because Kayla knocked it out of the water with service & personality & apology for the wait. So in the end this was a 50/50 experience for us but I will definitely be back to try them out again for myself & give them another shot with their appt making/walk in procedure. Where to start. First things first, we are all human. Mistakes happen. Sent my girlfriend to this nail place for the first time with my card. They did not let her know when she booked the appointment, that they did cash only. After they finished doing a terrible job on her toes (which she didn't complain about, she still was gonna pay for the labor), she tried to use my card and it was declined due to it being locked for security reasons and she couldn't't use the ATM. They threatened to call the police on her when she asked if she can go down the street to her house to get another card (we live 6 minutes away). I understand that maybe previous experiences caused them to act this way, but threatening her and making her leave her phone unprotected as collateral for a $65 piss poor job of toe polish on nails was just terrible customer service. And on top of that, they expect praise. We were looking for a new nail spot for her to become a regular, since the old one we used to go to no longer had one of her favorites employees there anymore....but not this place. Worst. Pedicure. Ever!!! In all fairness/disclosure, I do not have "pretty" feet, but this pedicure by no means helped! AT ALL! I had to point out jagged nails, after filing and shaping. I had to practically file one myself! I had to point out cuticles and hang nails that hadn't been removed. My nails are crooked and uneven. I hate my pedicure!
