When ServPro's estimator arrived on time, I was grateful because the location of the home is somewhat out of the way. Having a 20 year construction background, I was immediately sure that the estimator knew what he was doing. It turned out he is a licensed general contractor. ServPro managed the renovations of the home from top to bottom. My client and I were so impressed with the quality of the work, the availability and communication from the estimator and the company, the reasonable prices and friendly, knowledgeable crew. Everyone I have spoken to and dealt with at ServPro were very professional. The work was done in such a way that you could watch the progress and still walk through the house without tripping on something. The work flow was organized in such a way that it never felt like "the can of worms" that it could have felt like, given the vast amount of work that was done. Everything was done with permits and to code with rough in inspections and final inspections. In the end, we have a completely remodeled home that would have sold for around $300,000.00. With all the renovations done, the home is now expected to sell in the low to mid $400,000.00 range. My client will be able to get the return on her investment and the home is beautiful. The estimator, Isaac Cannaday was not only professional, but my client and I both felt we were in good hands. He earned our trust quickly and proved himself, his crew and ServPro to be not only trustworthy and professional, but skilled craftsmen. One of the crew members did some pretty tricky carpentry work to get a custom sized door in. Everything we asked of Isaac and his crew were done in a timely manner at reasonable costs. My wife approached him, basically relayed all of that, he said something about they were interested in his services, which was not true. The whole affair was kind of creepy. And certainly pushy. It felt like some sleazy ambulance chaser lawyer showing up at a crime scene. It left everyone with a negative feeling about this company.

We sought out their help in finding privacy trees for our deck. They came back with options and an estimate. We agreed on their recommendation... and then everything fell apart. They called the day before install to say sorry we cannot find the trees you wanted (the trees that they recommended and provided a signed estimate for). Then they showed us a variety of too small trees and trees that were incompatible with the sun/shade composition of the area. Finally we found ones that they assured us would accomplish our original goals for privacy. Two weeks late they arrive with 3 foot tall trees that were brown and clearly insufficient for providing privacy. They assured us that these would grow fast and once planted would look better... and now here we are 4 months later with 5 dead 3 foot tall trees that we need to pay a new landscaper to dig up andreplace. What a nightmare... and truly a disappointment. Hopefully this is helpful to the next unsuspecting homeowner.

Most of the work required replacing approximately 50 ft x 3 ft of T1-11 siding along several exterior walls and replacing trim boards at various locations. Josh Kesecker is the Owner, and Antonio Martinez is Lead Carpenter and primary onsite worker. After reaching out to Josh, he responded quickly to setup a time to meet at my house and review the scope of work. He was quick to respond with his very clear itemized quote, and he scheduled work immediately. His price was fair considering the work involved and level of quality he and Antonio provided. Josh is a third-generation contractor with prior experience as an Inspector, so he knows how to address corrective issues. He is soft-spoken and calm, very straightforward, experienced, and friendly. Antonio was a gem - a very friendly, skilled professional that works very hard and takes pride in doing work correctly. For example, the trim at a window had been identified in the reports as having fungal damage. When Antonio removed the trim, he found that the damage extended to a narrow 2" and 12" section of siding under the trim on the side of one of the windows, and above the garage personal-door. He proceeded to dig out and replace this siding before replacing the trim. Another contractor would not have included this level of quality control and workmanship and would have simply replaced the trim and left the damage underneath. These guys were very easy to work with, and came through, providing outstanding quality work. I highly recommend them.

We called and the owner Josh came out to investigate and assess what we needed to have done - within a day or two he sent a comprehensive and competitive bid. After we agreed to the work Josh returned with his team and within a several days created a French drain system around the extra room to mitigate moisture intrusion, installed a new sliding glass door, installed new flooring / baseboard, resolved some moisture intrusion / fixed and painted dry wall inside the room, and built an incredible post and pier foundation for our new shed we were having delivered. All of the work was done efficiently and with masterful craftsmanship; Josh and his crew were always nice and even cleaned up the work area at the end of each work day! We just sold the home and definitely made our money back and more! Can't recommend Rising Starr Construction enough... Josh and his crew are exceptional and truly the best at what they do.
