It's dirty, unsanitary, there is no actual medical care or ant type of therapy. There are just Techs that are former addicts and don't even have the ability to dose medication. They are condescending, disrespectful, and the whole place is a liability waiting to happen. Please don't go there.

My sister said to JASMINE " why are you scrubbing my skin so roughly, you're not wasting pots and pans." I'm calling to requesting this JASMINE person no longer be assigned as care giver for my sister. When my sister herself requested this, the social worker told her JASMINE had requested the same thing. My question is why can't this be done? When I called this morning at 9:45 I was told the social worker was in a meeting so I left a msg requesting a return call and the issue of concern. Guess what..no return call so at 1:30 I called again and the social worker was in a meeting, so I've left another msg requesting a return call. I'll surely keep you posted. My sister also informed me that others have experience pain under JASMINES care and would prefer another cna over her.

I had severe pain in wrist, golfer's elbow, general arm pain plus back pain and the combo of medical grade laser and shock wave treatments has been been so effective that I actually walked out with no pain multiple times and now can manage the pain. The more we did it the longer it would stick and Paul so generously treated me in small windows of time that I had while in the country. I have been dealing with severe chronic pain for decades. This gem of a place is truly healing and Paul's vast experience unbeatable bordering on wizardry. Plus, the big bonus is its one block from the beach with sea breezes coming into this magic beach shack turned occupational therapy spot. Paul and his whole team are great. A shout out to AJ for his post TFCC wrist surgery OT- and Mary for always getting me into appointments. Anyone is fortunate to go to this place but finding a non-medication solution to chronic pain is a needle in a haystack, so don't walk, run!

I had to advocate for myself to be able to obtain Occupational Therapy for weeks.. When I thought I couldnt take it anymore, Mary the office manager for Hands on OT finally showed up as a person that took their job and responsibility seriously! She actually helped a desperate patient to figure out what needed to be done, and she took initiative and ownership of the situation! Wow! What a concept! A person that cares about the patient and actually tries to help instead of waiting for the patient to lose HIS patience and give up! Bravo to Mary.

She is patient, always willing to talk to us, and even communicates with his teachers at school to ensure our son is always getting the care and support he needs. She's also extremely knowledgeable, and is able to explain the roadmap for what she is working on not only now, but in the future, and how it will help our son overcome the challenges he came in with. We received a call within an hour of him being at the camp that he was stressed and overstimulated and didn't want to participate, so he was going to need extra support to stay. This was shocking to me considering how little time he had been there, that the point of it was to help kids adjust to kindergarten, and that their ratio was 2 adults to 7 kids. They told me that he consistently improved over the course of the first day and further improved on the second day, but that it would be too costly to keep another adult there to help him. It was sad for us because he left on a high note, telling me that he'd made a friend and that he had done a better job staying in the group. He clearly felt like a success and I wish he'd been given the opportunity to continue improving, but I didn't want him to stay at a camp where the facilitators believed that he was too much for them. He successfully did a year of TK last year and several other camps this summer, some with a ratio of 1 adult to 16 kids. CSC was polite to me and pro-rated me the other days, but it was upsetting because I assumed the most expensive camp I signed up for this summer (held at a therapy location) would be the greatest success, not the one camp that had to call me about an issue. This camp may work out for kids who are already very familiar with their gym environment and don't really need that much help when they feel anxious, but if you're looking for something that will help your child if they struggle in a new environment, this does not seem like the best choice. Some camps that worked well for us this summer were Pedalheads, Compass Clinic's Friendship Island Camp, Campbell Hall's Creative Arts Camp, and Destination Science.

She's WONDERFUL! Doni is a certified occupational therapist, certified ergonomic assessment specialist and most importantly a certified hand therapist. And above all she's a kind and caring individual which comes in handy (no pun intended) when dealing with individuals who are dealing with physical pain. While I've been there receiving therapy on my wrist, I've seen her help individuals with post surgery for carpal tunnel, finger re-attachment and customizing splints for a patient all while telling me what not to do to exacerbate my problem. That's multitasking at its best if you ask me! Parking is a bit tricky for this area. There's a pay lot next door for $1 every 15 minutes, or you can try parking in the library or marina parking across the street. No frills, works out of another medical office but what type of frills do you need for hand therapy.

Lucky for me, they were able to…read morereattach both, but what I saw after surgery was frightening and did not even look like a hand to me. My surgeon was not even sure that I would have full use of it again. After much (hidden)depression and loss of work (I am a graphic artist), my MD gave me the okay to start therapy to see what I could get back, but told me not to expect much. I was actually referred to another therapy place by my insurance, but decided to go to Hand Therapy Experts because the location is close to home. I have to pay cash since my insurance does not cover it, but it is worth every penny I spend and would pay even more. These days you are lucky to get 5 minutes of attention from your doctor or other Medical professionals, but it is completely the opposite here. Doni Villavaso has saved my life!! When I met her, I felt doomed to be handicapped and thought I would have to quit my job. I thought for sure she would freak out when she saw my horrible looking hand, but she was extremely calm, patient and did not even blink when looking at it. She basically said, "okay, you are not going to quit. Let's ignore what the surgeon told you and assume you WILL get full function back." I have never met a more genuine, kind and gentle person in the medical field than Doni. Don't get me wrong, she is no wimp. She kicks my butt to make me do things I do not want to do but it is amazing that I don't get mad at her even when I am in PAIN. She actually has a great sense of humor and makes me laugh when I am exercising and I sometimes forget I am in pain. I now WANT do do better, to push myself more, even when it hurts. After 5 months of hand therapy (and still going), I am drawing again with precision and excelling at my job. That is damn good for a guy who could not even zip his pants 3 months ago. I am also no longer depressed (because she will not let me feel sorry for myself). I told her she could have been a shrink as well as a hand therapist. My strength is now what we are working on. It is actually impressive at how far I have come considering my surgeon told me not to expect much. Doni has shown me to not to give myself limits based on what my MD told me and so far, it has been a remarkable journey.
