I want to give this place a five star review because the facilities are great and the program did help, but the customer service is so shockingly poor that I can't. I leave this review in the hopes that someone will take action and hopefully turn things around. In the weeks that I received "care", not a single smile was ever seen or offered from any member on staff whether they were behind a desk or working one on one. Speaking with someone over the phone is also unpleasant. Since the pool is always packed with patients and therapists, I witnessed this not just for myself but for others too. You're made to feel like garbage from the moment you step into the facility until you leave. Care is given so begrudgingly. I can only imagine that from the top down, working conditions are so poor that the staff take out their frustration on the patients. This review is specifically for complete pt pool and land therapy on motor in Culver City. I usually only give good reviews when I come to yelp because I only want to point out the excellence of businesses, but as stated above, I really appreciate the facilities and the physical program that was executed, just not the way I felt with every interaction with staff. I felt like unwanted trash. Please take the necessary steps to improve working conditions so staff will treat others with respect and dignity. read more

Hands down the best recovery care team in Los Angeles. I walked in unsure if full recovery was even possible, and I walked out stronger and fully healed. I am so thankful for my physical therapist, Jen H. and Amanda, who were not only professional and skilled, but genuinely invested in my recovery. They provided targeted exercises that addressed the root of my injury and helped me regain strength and confidence. I have been to CompletePT for two conditions: a torn rotator cuff and knee pain due to arthritis. I have full range of motion for my arm/shoulder and walk again without a limp and constant pain. My PT Brandon really understands anatomy and movement and his exercises are easy, but spot on! He is extremely friendly and fun to interact with. The place is well run, always on time and there is easy parking. And if you have to cancel, there will be a real person answering the phone, and taking note of the cancellation without giving any grief. I most highly recommend CompletePT and especially Brandon, but my bet is that other therapists are excellent too. read more

I gave them my insurance info a full week before my first appointment. I gave three appointments. The billing manager called me this week to inform me my insurance won't cover aqua-therapy. It appears that most of the therapists have multi-degrees on top of the fact that the facilities are second to none Combining pool and land therapy has worked best for me there aren't many facilities who offer this kind of variety. I was referred to Complete PT Pool therapy for knee and back pain, and participated in their Pool Therapy twice a week for 3 months. I strongly recommend Complete PT Pool Therapy and give them an A plus rating. Josh Matsunaga was my physical therapist much of the time and he is knowledgeable, professional, and kind. Individual appointments are for 40 minutes and the attention I was given by Josh and his colleagues was excellent. To put it simply, I have gone to 7 or 8 physical therapy establishments during my life and this was the BEST. James, in the front office, makes it easy to make appointments at times that were convenient for me. The pool is large and the temperature 92 degrees. Some of the patients appear to be post-op knee or back surgery--but many came for strengthening exercises alone. The changing rooms are clean but not fancy--and you may want to check it out prior to joining. Parking is plentiful. We were referred to Complete PT by my mom's orthopedic doctor. My mom fell and broke four ribs, and her recovery is mostly complete except that she is still scared of falling when she walks; that, and the arthritis in her knees. The regular physical therapists we saw didn't really result in much improvement. It wasn't until she started at Complete PT that I started to see any difference in her movement. Month by month, being in the pool and being unable to fall, there were small gains and definite improvements to her confidence. I have to give kudos to Dr. Stanley, for his patience and the way he kept tweaking the regimen to adapt and push her progress. She has now graduated to all land therapy, and I am hopeful she continues to improve. Very grateful! read more

I wholeheartedly recommend Complete PT. I have been to many physical therapists and they are by far the best. I see Brandon who is absolutely the best with soft tissue work. I trust him with working with my chronically challenged neck. James and Matt of the front staff are great as well. They are friendly, professional, and efficient. The previous physical therapy clinic I had been going to was a large, fancy clinic with all the bells and whistles. Wow! What a amazing place. ALL the STAFF are super kind and accommodating. My physical Therapist Mallory is spectacular. Mallory is helping me walk and get my legs and range of motion back to normal . She is very patient ,smart, funny professional and knew exactly what I needed to do from my very first session. I would not recommend this place as it is unethical and no HYGIENE standards enforced! When I first came they wanted to charge me an extra $10 for facilities and parking. I don't use their lot and explained that but they said I still had to pay a facilities fee. I called Medicare and they said they are not allowed to do that and can be charged and filed suit against if they insisted. I told the manager this and only then did they waive the fee and I got an impression that she understood and did not respect the owner as well. I feel bad for the elderly people there who may not understand that they are getting taken advantage of. On a previous visit, a man with BLEEDING SORES and visible medication all over his legs was allowed in the pool. I spoke to the manager and she said she informed the staff that shouldn't have been allowed to happen. I believed her and told her I'd give them another chance. Until today, when a woman walks into the pool with a cloth bandage on her toe (not waterproof which is what their guidelines are) I hear her tell the staff that she just came from the podiatrist and had something shaved. I spoke to the staff member who said it wasn't bleeding and she left it at that. At that point I left. Upon leaving a staff member scolds me RAGE-FULLY , making a scene, for walking through construction. This place is so cheap. Half the stuff doesn't work, smells like mold and is completely dated (they actually have those spinning seat covers on the toilet) the pool tools are dirty and old, the dryers barely work and some not at all. The whole thing seems like a greedy cheap owner is all about himself. HIGHLY do not recommend. read more

This is a great facility. Combining pool therapy and land therapy in the gym really helped with my progress. Stanley Luan was the therapist I worked with pretty much exclusively, mostly because he was a perfect fit for me. Stanley was very professional and genuinely cared about my progress. He continually modified the various exercises we would do or equipment we would use to address specific issues that arose, and I felt like we were always moving forward towards my goals. Additionally, I had a few sessions with Stephanie, who brought the same level of professionalism and warmth. The front desk, while constantly busy, was so efficient in scheduling and rescheduling to accommodate my ever-changing schedule. Kudos to James and Matt! I'm very grateful for the care and PT I received here -- and I'll never forget Stanley Luan, who really brought it 100% every session. Thanks! read more

I cannot believe this place has so many good reviews. Maybe it's from people who do pool therapy? Know people who work there? Not sure but here's my experience.............. I was referred by my Sports med MD for PT. I found this place as they are a provider for Blue Cross and the Yelp reviews were good.....so I thought I was good to go. NOT! I called for an appointment and was able to get in right away for my initial eval. It was a woman named Joan who was AWESOME. She was able to find out my areas of trouble and her years of experience showed. Then, she told me she would not be my therapist:( They use different people for the eval and the actual therapy. Weird. I then went to make my appts for therapy. Everyday it would be someone different for the most part. Bad: You can barely get the same therapist more than once. So starts my therapy. Came in on a Saturday- that was paarrrrrtttttt of why I went to this place- Sat appts. They didn't mention to me that the Sat person is not a Physical therapist. The person is a PTA - a physical therapy assistant. Hmmmm.....it totally showed. The hour was a waste and I felt like I wasted one of my sessions and my recovery and my $$. I did. The next session was a PT! She was good. Oh and that's how I found out the other was not. I told her that he didn't know what he was doing and she was like "oh, he's an assistant." Who doesn't disclose that when U make appts especially when you charge insurance? So, the next therpist was good but I had about 10 min with her. She had her aids do the rest. And it was VERY unhygienic. She went patient to patient (about 5 of us) and examined or massaged without washing her hands.....gross! They all did. Patient to patient. Ultrasound, massaging, stretching etc. And most of the time, they are touching your bare skin! I knew I wasn't coming back. I called to complain. 10 minutes only of one on one time with the therapist, no hand washing, a PT assistant. The woman was receptive and apologized. They get points for that. They also get points for super nice people and office staff. Good: Parking- there is parking free in their lot which is awesome The front desk people are super sweet and helpful. They have Saturday appointments. But, see above, the Sat appointments are less than good....I bet the pool therapy is good and that's why people like it! read more

The facility has recently (in 2010) had a many improvements including the pool, hot tub, and locker rooms! The pool was expanded with easier steps that enable most people to enter on their own power. If you are unable to use steps, there are two different hydro-elevator systems to get you in/out of the pool in safety! Also, the bottom surface of the pool is easy for PT walking, not slippery or abrasive for your bare feet. The staff is incredibly friendly, helpful and respectful! They seem to all be under 30, but the youthful energy is positive & supportive (rather than intimidating, like in most gyms these days!) Scheduling can be a problem at times, mainly because they are so popular & appointment times fill up quickly! So be prepared with your calendar to snap up appointments two or three weeks ahead of time, so you don't get shut out! The scheduling staff is good at keeping wait lists so you can ask for that option too! They do have a 24 hour cancellation policy like most medical providers. So be sure to cancel as soon as you know you can't make an appointment so someone on the wait list can fill in your spot! They have an automated system that calls and reminds you of your appointment two days ahead of time, giving you plenty of time to adjust your schedule as appropriate. read more

The daily and evening water workout classes with Elaine Williams are a must try! Elaine is extremely knowledgeable about how to use water resistance to strengthen, rehabilitate and increase cardio ability. Both Elaine and the welcoming community make these classes really fun. My lingering injuries have prevented me from participating in my usual Yoga, Pilates and biking workouts. The low impact, but highly productive aquatic exercises quickly toned up my muscles without irritating my longtime injuries. Initially, I planned to use the Waterpower Workouts for a short time while healing but found I love aquatic exercise so much I'm here to stay! Regardless of your fitness level or injuries, Elaine will modify the course for your needs. She listens carefully and offers personalized suggestions to all her clients. I wanted to give a five-star shout out to the staff and management at Complete PT on Motor and National in West LA. Lynda Huey founder and world renowned water-physical therapist also writes books with renowned doctors such as surgeon Dr. Klapper at Cedar-Sinai really understands the mechanics of water therapy and how valuable it is to your body. Whether it be getting stronger, healing injuries or just for mental well-being and doing water therapy with like minded folks this place is the fountain of youth! They have competent physical therapists, kind-hearted, caring management and professional and polite staff; there is more! What you ask? There is a 92° saltwater pool named The Elizabeth Taylor Aquatic Spa (named after Liz for her generous donation!) for both physical therapy and deep and shallow water exercise classes managed by the Complete PT team. I have ailments and had to abandon my membership at Sports Club LA now Equinox as I can't do lap swimming in all the land activities that the gym has to offer and since I found complete PT I have transformed my mental and physical body. I 'm so grateful to have found complete PT I hope you can too. If you're in the neighborhood or not in the neighborhood you should definitely consider taking the water classes at Complete PT. And/or if you're looking for physical therapy and either land or water consider Complete PT you won't be sorry. My H2O Therapist is named Katey. She was literally like a MIRACLE for me . I mean, seriously. Considering that I've only been to 8 Sessions - I am shocked How Much Better I feel and Look!! I cannot say enough good things about this establishment, I feel as though they literally saved my life. - I had 4 months of Aquatic therapy at another establishment, after reaching a frustrating plateau I was ready to give up when my rheumatologist referred me here. - Dan is amazing, he takes his time during his assessment to get to know exactly what level you are at physically and pushes just the right amount during therapy to make improvement without over doing it. - I have been going twice a week for 8 months and my balance, coordination and strength have made incredible strides. The water is warm so it is easy on the joints and they have a hot tub to use before or after. I work with all the therapists there because they are all so positive, really care, take their time and listen. I went to Complete PT after a full knee replacement and worked with Stanley Luan for about 8 months. He understood that I wanted to get back to playing tennis. I am in my 70's and was unsure I would get the support I needed to not just recover but to be able to engage in athletic activities. I got the support and rigorous physical therapy I needed. In my experience, the combination of Pool and Land were synergistic. I highly recommend Stanley if you want to rehab to your maximum capability. In general, I also recommend Complete PT, while all the therapists may be a bit different, I never felt any gap when due to scheduling, I worked with another therapist. It was seamless. James, at the front desk is easy to work with and accommodates rescheduling efficiently. I am getting back to tennis and am grateful for the time I worked with Stanley. read more

A few years ago I was told by 3 orthopedic surgeons to have a knee replacement. Instead I've been consistently doing the water workout & go to land PT at the end of the year. When I first started I couldn't walk up the stairs without using my arm to yank me up. The therapists are very knowledgeable & help me understand & figure out what's going on with my body & what I can do to improve. So far, progressing, getting stronger, better balance, walk up stairs without using bannister, & feeling great. The water workout was developed by Linda Huey, the best & by Dr. Robert Klapper. It's beneficial for the whole body, not just your injury or problem area. The coach Elaine is amazing. The water is warm & comfortable & we're all friendly & welcoming. Friend recommended this place but after calling them 4 times and leaving 3 msgs (1 week apart) on their answering machine with no response, then calling a FIFTH time and talking with a receptionist who takes down your info and tells you she will call you back to schedule an appointment but never does I have given up. I specifically told the receptionist who didn't seem apologetic or concerned in any way that I have been trying to reach someone and she ensured me that someone will absolutely get back with me. She took down my insurance info DOB and all other important information and never heard back from anyone. It has now been a month since my conversation with her and 3 months since initially making contact. It shouldn't be this difficult to get someone to answer you back. If you are busy and don't take new appointments just say so from the beginning and do not waste my time. So frustrated with this experience. If the owner is reading this maybe it is a good idea to re-train your staff to actually give a damn! read more

They got me back on my feet after 1 year of Rehabilitation after my surgery, to repair a posterior tibial tendon in my left ankle which was very painful. The doctor and the physical therapist was so Hands-On and helped me reach my goals which I returned to work back on Broadway! Full of confidence and strength and better than before really! When I get my knee replaced I will go to complete PT for the best rehabilitative service and Hands On Healing practice on the westside of Los Angeles! I believe I have had all of the therapists at one time or another for physical therapy due to having had total knee replacement. I loved each one. Make sure you are very clear on the billing and how much is covered by your insurance, and that all the necessary referrals etc have been received. I had a trouble free experience here in 2016 after a hip replacement, but in 2018 after my other hip replacement, thinking I understood the system from having been through it once, and after discussing the appropriate steps to take with the front desk staff, I received one request after another for additional payments on top of the increased copay I was already paying. Had I been alerted to what this was actually going to cost me, I probably wouldn't have pursued this course of therapy here. read more
