Been looking for a place that sells the Hawaiian Shaved Ice, and hit the jackpot!! Found this place on Yelp, and took a chance based on all the positive reviews. Glad I did, as it was so worth it. Fantastic Hawaiian Shaved Ice, and if you go between the hours of 2pm - 6pm, its BOGO!! How awesome is that?? Have only had the Shaved Ice so far, but I plan on trying many of the other items this place serves. Next up is gonna be the Chamango Shaved Ice!! Keep up the good work. I got an caramel iced coffee with boba and what I believed to have been the "free check in" donut. But my total was $7.88 for one drink? I did not get an itemized receipt. I'm all for supporting a small business, plus the boba/donut was decent...My issue is, the drink menu on the right side of the shop has no price specifications. Does it only come in one size (seemingly an extra large?) Or did the cashier purposely charge us for a larger drink without asking us our preferred size? I usually don't post but felt that I need to this time around. I feel deceived by the 5 star ratings on Yelp when I was looking for a nice cold dessert after dinner. Came here with friends and all of our drinks were MEH. My friend's chamango even had a piece of plastic in it. My Thai tea had too much milk and barely any tea. My other friend's pina colada was bland. Lastly, my boyfriend's cookies and cream shake was watered down. Could be just this one visit, but most likely won't be visiting again. read more

I love, love this place! I yelped Shave ice in my area and got the info on Calli's. Wow!!! I was not disappointed. This place is a one stop shop! You can start your day with breakfast and end it with a dessert goodie. They offer various sizes of items. I wish I wouldn't have eaten before we got here so I could've gotten a XL shave ice. Cali's is the BEST! I haven't found a better boba smoothie (taro and Thai tea are my favorites) or donut (highly recommend the glazed and maple varieties) in the greater LA area. The owners are very attentive and friendly and the donuts are always amazingly fresh--even in the evening hours! If you're in the mood for a savory snack, the large, fluffy ham and cheese croissants (also available with jalapeño) will totally satisfy your craving. Cali's is tucked away in a strip mall at the corner of Irwindale Ave and Arrow Hwy, across the parking lot from Jack in the Box. This place had the worst customer service ever. Me and my sister went in asking questions about flavors and the guy (probably owner) was giving attitude when explaining. We decided to order and order the kiddie or small. When we were about to pay he charged it as a meduim not a small. Unless he didn't understand us but if we can't order kiddie he should tell us before we order. We asked but he ignored us, so we paid and left cause we were not in the mood to argue.
