We're always on the hunt for the best shaved ice and glad we tried this for the first time. They have so many options to choose from and they even have pastries and THRIFTY ice cream which is the best non-brand ice cream out there. Everything tasted good - #6, #11, pastries (fave was bear claw and cheese muffin), strawberry banana smoothie, and taro smoothie. Place was clean for sit down and people were really nice. Will be going back

Much needed refreshments, especially during the summer. Staff were friendly and quick - another member jumped in to take orders as soon as they saw additional customers waiting in line. The smoothies were made with fresh ingredients and the boba in both the smoothie and milk tea had the perfect texture - not too hard even after being mixed with the drinks. Ambiance was also good, with solid hits playing over the speakers and the fan cooling everyone down. I'll definitely come back to try their shaved ice when I'm in the area again.

For the best Hawaiian ice in your backyard I recommend Cali's just chill. Honestly they cover healthy to the sweetest tooth. Theres donuts, ice cream, Açaí bowls, smoothies, sandwiches, boba, coffees..... I'm sure I missed a few things. Any way living in the West Covina area for some time now, I really wish I'd known about this hidden Gem a long time ago. Great guest service, nice dining area inside and out.

We got here shortly after 6 o'clock around 6:08 PM so we had just missed the buy one get one free, shaved, ice any size. But that's OK cause we like supporting businesses regardless. The few complaints we have is we didn't feel as though the syrup was, how do I put this cause you can't taste expired ones it just didn't taste fresh or maybe it was the ice cream either way my husband and I got stomach aches and the flavor wasn't as potent as we thought it would be. I also want to add it was a mess and we found a fly stuck on their croissant. The tables had stains and sugar left behind and the other table that was big enough for six people the owner took over and it was really messy and I just didn't feel comfortable there. The owner was just chilling out on the seats watching TV and even raised the volume up. We weren't happy customers overall. I would not come here and would just stick to hang loose in Glendale. It's worth the drive.

Just stopped by for some shaved ice as a nice treat in this heat. 10/10 recommend. My daughter got shaved Ice and I got a mango slush. The slush was VERY tasty and my daughter loved her shaved ice. Location is CLEAN and the staff are very friendly and attentive. If youre looking for a good treat or quick eat I recommend checking them out. They have everything from shaved ive/drinks/coffee to donuts and breakfast sandwiches!

I love the name! Their Hawaiian shaved ice is good but the shaved ice is not that fluffy compared to other shaved ice places I've had in California. There are plenty of flavors to choose from and I love the condensed milk for a snow cap. Doughnut was decent too. It is a small shop with several seating. Parking is easy to find.

PERFECT SUMMER TREAT !! summer is never quite complete without shaved ice!! This place is a donut shop and shaved ice shop, the prices are fairly cheap - M $6.28 and L $7.28!! I love their assorted flavors and the quick service! It's a very popular place during hot days and I would highly recommend checking this place out!

Overpriced bag of grease! One bite and it was like a sponge of oil with residual oil on your fingers as well. $10 and change for 3 donuts and donut holes. Was hopeful after reading reviews. Welcoming lady wasn't there for the greetings and donuts are nothing to rave about. Not worth the price or drive.

So I received this recommendation from Yelp and I went to check it out. I have been looking for a shaved ice place and was very happy that this place is close to my area. I bought a medium #9 Strawberry, Mango and Watermelon. It hit the spot perfectly. Highly recommend and will definitely return with more people. It's located near Jack In The Box in a strip mall. Very easy to find. This place is great to cool off during the hot weather. You can also buy donuts too

Wanted to get a dessert that would cool us down on this nice and warm Saturday so checked my handy dandy Yelp app... Cali's is located in a shopping center next to some other food places. They have shaved ice ,ice cream, thai tea, banana splits, smoothies, floats, donuts, sandwiches and a whole bunch more of other things to choose from. We decided on shaved ice they have 2 sizes med and lrg. Shaved ice did the job and our tummy's were pleased. Mon thru Fri they have a special on shaved ice from 3 to 6, buy 1 get 1 free!! I think it was the owner who helped us she was friendly and looks like she knows the locals Will definitely come back and try other things on the menu..

This star is based on cleanliness. The employee used the SAME gloves to handle syrup bottles, adjust his face mask, and money to PAT DOWN our shaved ice. He also used the same towel to shape our shaved ice (that he appears to use for everyone) that he stores on the counter. My stomach rolled as I watched. Surprising to watch this after we have all gone through COVID19. read more

Came here on a recommendation of a friend based on the need for a Hawaii Shaved ice fix. Today the kids were like let's make it happen. Before we walked in my daughter says "it's real if they have Li Hing Mui". Check! My son looks for condense milk. Check! They let him pour his own condense milk. Plus!. Syrup flavors are on point. After first bite, kids say we need to come here everyday. Winner. And the people are great with great service. They have donuts too. Two of my most favorite treats. Both are done well. read more

I was on my way home with my parents from the hospital, as we learned that my dad is going to have another surgery. After being in and out of the hospital almost every other week for the past three months I remembered I saw a sign about "Shaved Ice." I took my dad in which we never usually do because he's just learning how to walk but I'm so glad we did. When we arrived he was welcomed by the wonderful "Lucky." We told her about the surgery and she gave my dad his own shaved ice for free! He was soooo happy! He was telling me earlier how he used to get one when he was a boy and this 73 yr old man transformed into a kid again! It was the best experience we could of have because he has been very sad due to everything that has been happening. Lucky, you are an Angel! Thank you so much! We all got our own shaved ice and I'm so glad we did! It was delicious and it's going to be our new spot! We used to go to a place for Boba but we have found something better! Where can you find an oasis in a desert hot land? At Cali's Just chill, that's where! I'm a huge fan of a quality shaved ice and this place has it. Ok now this place is just absolutely amazing!!! & I do mean that. A little family spot that is also a donut shop which provides a very friendly atmosphere. As I was wondering what to order since everything looked so delicious & me asking questions about what's what one of there regulars happened to be there & after I would ask about a certain product the regular would always have something great to say about it lol as if they've tried everything already. Once I placed my order of a bionicle & a mango smoothie they got to it right away & got my order in no time. As I was waiting for them to cut up the fruit they offered me free donuts since it was my first time there! I mean c'mon free donuts! Can't go wrong with that at all ;) Everything came out to perfection & I couldn't have been happier. Fruit was nice & fresh & the smoothie was perfect for this summer heat. My bf has been coming here since they started the business. And sure enough this is where we had I our 1st "kinda date". It's going to be 10 years already. I cannot believe it. Coffee is good. I usually stop by when they open @ 3:30am. On my way to work and back. After work I get a smoothie, shake, chamango or whatever tickles my fancy..... :) A lot of different products now. I couldn't believe it when he said $14 for two small shaved ice.... Pretty ridiculous. Didn't get anything special or extra. Went and bought a shaved ice machine at target after for almost the same price gave 3 stars because the guy was nice I guess? Keep be nicer though The owner I'm guessing. Definitely won't go back. read more

If you're looking for shaved ice on a summer's night, this is the place to go! With so many flavors options and a variety of other goodies, it's hard not to want to pick more than one. The employees are nice and quick to help get your orders out. They're also patient with you - my family and I ended up taking a long time trying to figure out which one we all wanted. Either way, by the time we ordered, they made our shaved ice quick and everyone was happy! There's a lot of tasty treats, drinks and donuts! Definitely recommend and will visit multiple times! Especially during the summer! read more

I ordered the Chamango Shaved Ice and my husband ordered the Banana Split Shaved Ice. Both were delicious! I also checked in to receive a free pastry and the owner gave me an extra pastry which I appreciated. We will definitely be back! I finally had a chance to come here! I had been wanting to try the breakfast croissants! The jalapeño ham one was really good. The regular one was okay, didn't have enough stuff on the inside it almost looked like just a regular croissant pastry and less like a sandwich. I also got a free blueberry doughnut, I had my tail wagging with each bite! Delicious! Then lastly I had to try one of their drinks, I mean because Cali's Just chill like that.. hehe The Horchata smoothie I got was pretty good! We have been in business for 24 years and over the course of the past few years we have enhanced our services to appeal to our demographics while still keeping the family based business and pride in our customer service and fresh quality products we serve daily.

Our parents started this business 24 years ago in order to provide services they knew were beneficial to customers as well as provide for our family. Keeping the family based business we run Cali's Just Chill as a close unit, working together making sure our customers are able to receive the best products and service in which we first started over 2 decades ago.

The interior is decked out to be just like their menu - fun and whimsy. Upon entering, I was immediately distracted by all the shoppable decor items like their huge mugs, candles, glassware, stickers, and crocheted animals. See, aren't they fun? I would've stayed in this shoppable section for longer and bought something if I weren't so coffee-deprived, but didn't end up purchasing a crocheted animal, although I really wanted to. I will save this thought for my next visit to make sure I can take one home. They have a variety of comfy chairs, and tables for guests to chill on and take a relaxing break while enjoying their coffee or tea. There are games in the front of the store if you want to entertain yourself with friends and hang out. The staff we interacted with were both friendly and welcoming. We'll definitely be back to enjoy more of their fun seasonal drinks and next time, I'll stay awhile longer to enjoy more of the ambiance they curated here. :)

What really frustrated me today was that they don't put lids on iced drinks before handing them to customers. The lids are difficult to snap on, and when I tried putting mine on myself, I spilled about a quarter of my drink. Two employees saw it happen and didn't offer to help, apologize, or replace the spilled drink. That lack of customer service was disappointing. I really wanted to enjoy this place because I like supporting local businesses, but between the expensive drinks, the excessive amount of ice, the confusing pickup system, and the lack of customer service today, I'm not sure I'll be back. I hope they make a few small changes because I think the overall customer experience could be much better.

Love this place been coming for about a year now and the shaved ice are really good and they have a variety of flavors.. you can also add ice cream. The donuts taste fresh all the time and when we get shaved ice to go they help us to the car and provide a box for as many we get.. The chamangos are delicious.. the staff is always very friendly and they are very nice to my kids.. I have been in search of a great coffee donut shop around me moving from Az to Cali and I found this awesome place. The owners and employees are great people they want to get to know you and enjoy talking to you unlike most places that just hurry you in and out. I get a blended coffee or iced coffee every time and there stuffed Croissant are the best I've ever had, so is there breakfast sandwiches. This is seriously the only place I ever try to go to for donuts and frozen treats. Their Hawaiian shaved ice with vanilla ice cream at the bottom is the best. The portions/sizes are a great deal considering the prices. They always serve fresh donuts and they have so many options. On top of that, the environment is always clean, friendly, and welcoming. Cali's just chill is definitely mine and my families hang out for good sweets. Their cream cheese cake is 2nd to none. Im not kidding they have hawaiian shaved ice my favorite and my kids enjoy the great taste of there doughnuts. People I recommend this spot to all of you you wont regret it.
