I found this cute property in Calistoga online and after reading the positive reviews on several booking sites I decided to book the Oakville room. Right after booking the reservation, I started receiving personalized text messages confirming my registration and providing me detailed information about my stay. They even did their best to accommodate an early check in for us. When we arrived we were able to park right in front of the property. We picked up our personalized envelope with our key to our room on the front porch. The Oakville room is located upstairs and is small but very clean , and decorated nicely. The room opened to a small outdoor patio with a table and two chairs.. Something to note- this particular room does not have a TV in it however other rooms at the Inn do have them. No ceiling fan overhead but a personal heater/air conditioning unit is in the room. A nice comfy bed with a fluffy white duvet made for peaceful sleeping. Now the best part- location! On the corner of Lincoln the main street in Calistoga you can easily walk to botique shops, tasting rooms, restaurants and bars. It is next door to Busters BBQ which has really good casual bbq.. Finally each directly booked stay includes 2 vouchers for Calistoga Roastry. This is a cute coffee shop where we enjoyed an iced latte, smoothie, BLT, and breakfast sandwiche. It is just a 5 minute walk from the Inn. We throughly enjoyed our stay here and highly recommend if you are visiting Calistoga.

We had a very comfortable stay and love that it's walking distance to restaurants, shops and tasting room. Nice little extra perk for the $40 credits to Cousteaux bakery ( which you can access from their back door right across the street) The reservationists are friendly and helpful. Yvonne even helped my husband arranged flowers delivery prior to our arrival for my surprise for our Anniversary. The place has ample space, a cute nook and small kitchen fully equipped with coffee maker, small stove top, microwave, dishwasher and refrigerator and freezer. All you would need for a little weekend getaway in this wine country charm. They also have free wine tasting included however you must booked the tasting at least 24 hours in advance. All in all a lovely, quaint and clean place. I would come back for another stay in a heartbeat.

When you are paying almost 700$/night, you simply shouldn't be handed a room that smells like that. The front desk staff just handed us a card to contact the manager, who basically told us we were wrong and offered us no other option but to change the date of our reservation. He actually hung up on us while discussing the issue. Why would we want to stay at this place on another date given the condition and treatment we were given? Additionally, while still in conversation about the issue, keys were taken from us. When the manager refused to offer any other option and told us the room was still ours, we were unable to access the room at all at this point, with no answer from the front desk at all. Please, spare yourself the time and turmoil. This place provides no options and takes advantage of its customers. Tom treated us poorly and hung up on us, rather than finding a solution.

When we arrived, there was a sign on the door telling us to go upstairs and pick out whatever room we wanted. I loved the easy-going attitude. We went upstairs and chose a cute room (all rooms are cute- and there are only 4 rooms). There were a lot of board games at Fanny's, and rooms, I think, are $160 a night. That night we were able to walk to a nearby brewery (2 blocks away), and drink and talked and ordered yummy calimari without having to worry about driving home. You don't have to worry about being locked out of Fanny's, as it stays unlocked at night. Visiting from Oakland, it felt so good to walk around a night without an iota of worry. The highlight - breakfast. The woman who made us breakfast used to have a restaurant and made us the most gourmet, yummy, balanced breakfast! We had individually-made quiches, salad with parmesan, fruit, two types of bread to choose from, and a homemade apple tart. And yummy juice. I mean, wow, I was not expecting that. It was soooo sooo oSOOOSoo O SO good. o so good. O so good. Yum. And a beautiful presentation. Bountiful and lip-smacking country good. I'd definitely stay here again!

I imagined hearing children shrieking and playing all over the place. When we pulled up to the house, I was very happy to see that the community of homes is VERY spread out, so the home is pretty secluded. We walked up the stairs to find a very cozy home and guest house. The first night was spent cooking, drinking wine, and hanging out in the hot tub. The kitchen is well-stocked with utensils, so we cooked breakfast and dinner here each day. We were close to the river, so we spend the second day kayaking. The home has a TV/DVD player, so when we were exhausted in the evening, we could relax and watch movies or play some of the games available in the house. Wineries are not too far, so we spent the third day wine tasting. We had a great vacation, and we hope to return next summer!

Its a good location - close to plenty of wineries and places to explore but tucked away in the woods so its quiet and private. The place is stocked with about anything you could need. seriously. I can't wait to come back in the summer as the large deck and outdoor brick grill will be perfect for an afternoon of soaking up the sun. i would definitely recommend this spot.

Both had coffee makers, microwave and small refrigerators. Both spots were super clean, showers were great and the place was stocked with everything you could need in the Farmhouse kitchen. DONT buy olive oil, there's lots in the bottom of the serviette! The owner Jennifer provided solid communication and addressed any issues promptly. The property offers a pool (unheated) hot tub, fire-pit, grill and a wood burning stove in the Farmhouse. While we ate out most nights our grill night was great. It's a bit rustic, so wifi & tv are spotty but our cell service was perfect. Dishwashing is by hand. We would definitively stay here again!

Scarlett's is definitely more rustic than country chic, but it is utterly charming, the proprietors warm, and their dogs loveable and friendly. Staying here definitely feels like staying with close family or friends. Scarlett's is nestled back from the Silverado trail and accessed via a narrow, one-car gravel road. There is no prominent signage from the road except for some a nice of red reflector lights above the house sign - useful when driving at night along the poorly-lit Silverado. There are only 3 sets of accommodations available - ranging from the smallest Arrowhead Room (and most inexpensive) to largest (Camellia Suite) a few steps away from the main house where breakfasts are served and the pool/ hot tub is accessed. As other folks have mentioned, breakfasts are delicious - French toast, chicken apple sausage, fresh-squeezed OJ (lots of pulp!), coffee and fresh fruit on Day 1; poached eggs, bacon and warmed breads assortment with more fruit, coffee and juice on Day 2. We reserved the Gamay suite in advance and were upgraded to the Camellia suite when we arrived - the Inn was not full that weekend, perhaps since it was still a bit off-season. The Gamay and Camellia are attached as one structure and we were allowed to take a peek at both to make up our minds as to where we wanted to stay. The Camellia Suite is a full ground floor, and includes a large living room connected to a "wet bar" consisting of sink, dishwasher, microwave, and teeny tiny fridge which housed OJ, yogurt, vitamin waters; there was a bowl of fresh fruit on the kitchen table. The bedroom features a Queen-sized bed and a darling window seat that was perfect for perching, reading & netbooking. Derek showed us around since Scarlett (his mother) was away at a champion water-skiier's convention. He very thoroughly showed us through the rooms we were to choose from, and when we finally settled on the Camelia, he went through the quirks specific to our home for 2 days...(heater in the LR tends to run warm; the fire is easily started in the old fashioned wood stove; free Wifi is available, but not great for downloading large files). He showed us how to operate the hot tub, and kept it warm/ on for us for the couple of days that we were there. The property is surrounded by some beautiful woods that are great for a nice & easy rambling hike - the dogs are likely to join you and the littlest - Chewie - will probably stay with you the entire time. So many thoughtful little details - the umbrellas by the door, the coffee maker and various creams and sugars; the extra linens and pillows in the large wardrobe, the umbrellas by the door (which were really helpful for the deluge on our last day there) etc.

The decor is Farmhouse Done Right. While most B&Bs look (and smell) like it came straight out of Funeral Parlor Digest, featuring all the furniture that your Depression-era Grandma couldn't even offload at the thrift store, Beltane Ranch delivers Vintage Classy perfectly suited for modern sensibilities. Charming, tasteful, and unassumingly elegant, Beltane captures the elusive vibe of Home Nostalgia that sends you back to a cozy time before the internet (but after penicillin). And did I mention the wrap-around porch is the stuff of Louisiana-level Luxury Lazy? Now I'm all for the happy pursuit of property rights as much as the next corn-fed American, but--with all due respect and with the highest of praise--Beltane makes me want to be a squatter. Choosing Beltane Ranch as our wedding venue was honestly the best decision we made in our entire…read moreplanning process. We looked at a lot of venues all over California and when we visited Beltane we knew it had to be there. We were looking for a venue that had nearby guest accommodations (200+ person wedding) but would allow for us to stay on site with our families and really slow down and enjoy that time with them. Beltane has a magic about it that can't be quantified and it's from the care that Lauren & the entire team put into every detail. We stayed with both of our families Thursday - Monday and hosted our rehearsal dinner there on Thursday night. The food was incredible thanks to Chef Neil, every detail was so thoughtful, and the whole thing just flowed. Our families felt completely at home. The rooms are beautiful, the grounds are stunning, and we couldn't have been more relaxed. Lauren, Alexandria, Elise, Angie, Brian and the entire team are the best at what they do. They were flexible, responsive, and genuinely cared about making our weekend special. In an industry full of venues that feel impersonal and transactional, Beltane is the epitome of warmth and personality. We can't recommend Beltane enough.

Just paid another visit to the Olea Hotel for my husband's birthday. Still love this place but it's…read morestarting to lose some of the charm it once had. But first, the good: their accommodations remain fabulous. We stayed in the Upper Poolside Cottage (Room 10) and it's just wonderful. The Comphy sheets are just heaven. Their bath towels are also plush and luxurious. Two thumbs up for in-room linens! Heated floors in the bathroom and 2-sided fireplace provide nice warmth and comfort. Complimentary snacks and fizzy water in the mini fridge are a nice bonus, too. The poolside cottages are the cat's meow, and just a short hop to the pool and hot tub. But there are several things that I noted during our last visit that made me feel like maybe this may have been our last visit to the Olea. First, there was a goodly amount of trash strewn about the property. At the hot tub, there was a wine bottle cap on the bench (I know, wine country, to be expected, right?), but what truly grossed me out was the wad of used athletic wrap right next to the hot tub. Blech! As I grabbed both of these items and took them to the trash (all of five or six steps from where they had been scattered), I noticed even more bits of trash in the corner area near the planters. Like more trash than would be expected by just one party being messy. (Also, the planter area was weedy and just seemed neglected.) I dismissed it as just not getting some needed attention, until I returned to our cottage and noticed several more pieces of trash right by our front door that I had missed earlier. And apparently so did housekeeping and management. Plus broken tree limbs atop the roof of the main building. And a huge rip in one of the pool lounge chair pads. And a very large hole (~3") in a pool towel. Just signs of general neglect and subpar for this place, especially at their price point. Second and perhaps even more disappointing is how much the included breakfast service has changed. It's gone from a 2-course, made-in-house gourmet affair to a continental style DYI breakfast, apparently now even on the weekends. The only thing made to order is the avocado toast (for obvious reasons). For those guests who hadn't enjoyed the previous offerings, perhaps it doesn't seem too bad. Nice spread. But I sorely miss the delectable morning meals and the awesome homemade chai along with the service for breakfast. I'd give this an updated 3.5 stars but will round up to 4 because I still really want to love this place. Also, Star provided friendly and welcoming service at the front desk, which was appreciated.
