This review is based off of a few things. First, I made an appointment for just a gel manicure where it was just shaping and polish. I made an appointment and everything was timely. I arrived at 4:15 and was done by 4:50 which was great! The stars in this review are really for Ivy who was wonderful! She was so kind and made me feel very comfortable. I picked a color for my nails and it looked a little lighter on. After the first coat, she asked if I liked the color and I mentioned I was hoping it would be darker. She immediately let me pick a new color and made sure I was happy with my nails from the shape to the color every step of the way. The space looks lovely. First time coming to Calla and I was impressed. I'm just starting to get my nails done regularly, but have been to a few places recently. Appointment was scheduled for 10am, but they texted around 8am that I could come in earlier, so I did! I met with Ivy who was so kind and welcoming to me. She explained some other services they offered and made sure I was happy with my nails throughout the whole process. It was very clean in the salon and I loved the music they were playing! A very relaxed vibe. I got the gel removal and new gel service with no mother manicure services. Ivy tried to salvage my nails that, in all honesty, were in horrible shape when I showed up to her! In town for the next few months off and on. Was looking for a luxury nail salon with good work whether gel, gelx or acrylic. I stumbled across Calla Nails on yelp and they look like just the right spot to try out. I texted the 24/7 text number the night prior to get a soak off and a new set acrylic appointment with Hannah and a gel removal on my toes with a CBD pedicure as well. Both were absolutely great. You can tell Hannah takes pride in her nails and she was nice to chat with. Ryan did a great job on my pedicure and gave a relaxing foot massage. Will def be a go to spot whenever I am in town these next few months. They also offer head spa services that look interesting. May have to try that as well! My hair before for reference. DO NOT DO NOT go here for a head spa. I left with DREADS in my hair. As I stood there sobbing in the lobby, the lady had me check out and pay $110. I should have walked out but in my hysterics I couldn't think straight. I have to cut 5" off my hair. I haven't stopped crying. I never knew a service like this could go this wrong. Please please please do not give them any service. Update: owner refuses to refund me. Says they're human (I do get that, but I went to a head spa to relax and have rejuvenated hair not have a haircut against my will), and says I no showed two times and they still saw me so I should be happy. They use up the entire time, great massage and thorough shampoo and mini facial, a cup of tea, and they blow dry your hair. So peaceful and calming. The products are high quality and smell so good. The inside of the salon is very pretty and luxurious, with bright lights and lots of reflective surfaces. Everything looked very clean and tidy. We got seated right away and they got started on our pedicures. The staff was very friendly! I called at 11:30 and they told me to come in for a 1:00 appointment. I got there early at 12:45 and checked in, and they only spoke to say check in. Their establishment is very beautiful, elegant, and clean but is wasted on the quality of work I received. There is absolutely nothing that sets them apart from the rest. Plus, their gel polish selection is very minimal at best. Nude or brown is my favorite color and every color had a pink undertone. The acrylic is uneven, the length is uneven, the acrylic is thick, and the nail art is Juvenile.
