I went down to get the supplies needed for changing the oil on my 2010 Mazda 6 (the car is "new to me" so I didn't have the supplies). Thankfully I spent 5 minutes at home watching a mechanic on YouTube before I went, because that's where I found out that the US version of my car has a hard filter, and the foreign version has a canister with a soft filter inside. The employees at AutoZone couldn't understand this concept, because their computer only had the hard type. Needless to say they didn't have the OEM canister wrench for my car (had to order it on like because, you guess it, their computer didn't know there were two types)... Spend 5 minutes at home doing a little research before you head to the store, and save yourself a couple of trips.
