I test drove a car, got the finances to buy the car, insured the car and then, at the signing I was given the car fax and it was in an accident. I then drove another car and the salesman made an agreement with me on a price. At the signing he charged me $500 more than our verbal agreement. Take their 150 point inspection with a grain of salt. Be very careful purchasing a car from Mastria Subaru in Raynham MA. I purchased a 2017 Honda CR-V from them for the sale price of $15,902 with 130,961 miles. After two weeks of driving the car for only 1,036 miles the engine misfired and had to be replaced. There was significant oil sludge build up in the engine. The cost to diagnose and replace the engine was half the cost of the sale price. They held onto the car for 17 days to register it, I'm from out of state. And unfortunately for me the problem presented itself 2 days after the 30 day warranty was over. I have been bringing my Subaru Outback to Mastria for over 10 years now. Jimmy and his crew treat me as if I just a bought a 2021 auto. They have saved me, God knows how much money over the years with their honest assessments. Once my AC wasn't working - they could have told me it was any number of things- it was a simple adjustment and they didn't charge me a nickel. I love these guys. When I bought my car in 2011, I lived near by but have since moved - nearly 50 miles away but continue to come in for service. OUTSTANDING- HONEST and all around good guys. I bought a used car here a few months back and the process was fine. The salesman was a nice guy and despite saying they wouldn't negotiate, we came to an agreeable price. However the finance piece was a disaster. It took 25-30 minutes for the guy to get some rates together, and they weren't competitive at all (he gave me 3 rate options). I had been there for 2+ hours and had to get to a work meeting, so I went with their rates anyway. I refinanced less than 30 days later at like 2% less than what they were offering. Per the finance guy, if he "searched and searched and searched" for a lower rate, he MIGHT be able to save me a little bit. That was obviously a bunch of BS - I'd imagine he got the biggest kickback from the Bank of America loan he put me in. I'd go back to the dealership for another car, but would never use their financing options nor would I trust anything he had to say. read more

I recently picked up my 2023 Subaru Crosstrek Sport and I love it! Alex Sierra was great to work with and is professional, attentive, and extremely knowledgeable. I waited a couple of months to get the exact model and color I wanted and every couple of weeks Alex sent me a text update on where my car was in the process. Alex made everything so easy, and I never felt like he was being pushy or trying to add items I did not need. I went to a couple other local dealers and they made me meet with the manager in the showroom before I could leave because I wasn't ready to buy. Luckily, Alex made a great first impression and although I live more than an hour away, I went with him because he was exceptional. I also financed through them and found that to be easy as well. ALWAYS GET A SECOND OPINION! Went to mastria subaru to have them diagnose and repair a loud thumping sound that was coming from my left front wheel. Brought the car there at 1:45 and it took them until 2:30 to even let me know what was happening with the car as far as the test. I was first told that my spring was popping out of my strut and the strut mount would have to be replaced. $495 + 79.99 alignment fee. Next they said that my front driver side wheel was bent. $315. Last they told me my front tie rod was loose and needed to be tightened. $305. All together that's just over $1,000 in repairs i was quoted for. I had the tech who ran the diag on my car show me all the problems listed. Reason being i was not about to pay $1,000 for something that was not even proven to me and also i had just replaced my struts no less that a year ago so it sounded fishy to me already. The tech took me to my car and started shining the light in the strut to show me the spring popping out which he didn't even prove to me he just kept showing me a rubber mount that was perfectly fine to hold the spring in place. Then he spun the front wheel to show it was bent and i agree this wheel was slightly bent but no where near enough of a bend to make such a noise. Finally he showed me my tie rod being loose which it didnt really budge much when he shook it. I told them that i would think about it but before leaving they charged me $61 for the diagnosis and printed out the listed problems. I then called up my personal mechanic and had him take a look at the car the same day. You may be asking why didn't i go to him in the beginning to start. Reason was the dealer was willing to give me a rential and i needed a car that day as soon as possible so i was desperate. My mechanic took the car and put it up on the lift and started looking into these listed problems mastria subaru claimed. In not even 2 minutes, no exaggeration at all, the problem was diagnosed by my mechanic. My lug nuts on my front wheel were loose and was causing my wheel to ride at an angle, which in turn caused the loud banging. Everything else that was listed as needed to be repaired besides the bent wheel was a complete lie. My struts were solid and my tie rod was perfectly tight and all was in good working order. We tightened up the lug nuts, took it for a test drive and it was solid, felt like it never happened. Now knowing this information i immediately called up the service manager at mastria subaru and demanded a refund of my diagnosis fee that i paid. At first he seemed to act like he was completely unaware of anything and had to call me back to be able to cancel my charge and give me a refund. At no point was he even concerned that my lug nuts were even checked let alone he let me leave the dealer with loose lug nuts! My wheel could have fell off and my studs could have snapped and i could have gotten in a serious accident. He even had the nerve to tell me everything they checked was in need of repair and they "forgot" to check the lug nuts. Bottom line do NOT do any service repairs at mastria subaru ever again. The techs there have the same knowledge as a freshman at a tech high school, they have no idea of basic common problems to test. This could have been a 10 minute reapir but was dragged on to almost a 5 hour delay in my day! They almost took my life by their carelessness and failure of common knowledge. They will never get my buisness in the service department ever again!!! read more

After putting a mere 4,785 miles on a previously owned Legacy, I was informed that the car had a camshaft carrier leak that would cost $2,430 to repair. It sounded fishy to me, so I put a light-colored sheet in my driveway for a month; no oil drips. I checked the dipstick weekly; no oil consumption was evident. Just to be sure, I took the car to an independent mechanic and to Anchor Subaru in N Smithfield, RI, and neither mechanic found a leak - of any kind. If you value your hard-earned dollars, stay away from the Mastria Service Department. They are either incompetent or thieves or both. read more

THIER SERVICE DEPARTMENT HAS NO IDEA WHAT THEY ARE DOING!!! I found out that there was a class action lawsuit against Subaru that extended the warranty on the engine in my car to 100,000 miles because the short block (part of the engine) in certain Subaru models were burning excessive amounts of oil. I knew I had an issue because I had driven 2,000 miles since my previous oil change and burned 3 and 1/2 quarts of oil. WAY more than what should have been burned in that time!! But I needed to go to a official Subaru dealer so they could run what is called an oil consumption test and report it back to Subaru. So I took my Forester to Mastria to have them start the process. First of all, they charged me for this test - which according to the paperwork I received from Subaru was suppose to be covered by the warranty. When I called them back to question why I was charged they said - "oh, you needed to have the testing done by April". Which is actually not true. I called Subaru North America afterward to complain and was reimbursed by them for the test. So Mastria lied. What really ticked me off was before I took it in to Mastria for the final evaluation, I check the oil levels which were on low (oil mark was on the bottom of the dip stick). I get there, they don't wait for my oil to cool (oil expands when it is hot), they do the test in 5 minutes and say: "you don't qualify for the warranty, we only put 1/4 quart of oil in and we needed to put 1/3 quart in for it to qualify." LIES, LIES, LIES!!! I had documentation that shows my car was burning oil at a very rapid rate and literally checked the levels before I took it into you. It needed probably a quart and 1/2 of oil. Because I didn't believe their results, I took my car to another Subaru dealer and within a few days of starting the test there, my car had burned enough oil to qualify for the warranty protection. I can't recommend Mastria Subaru to anyone. I'm not sure if they are intentionally trying to dupe customers, were lazy and didn't want to do my engine rebuild, or simply don't know what is going on in the service department. Either way, I will not be returning and recommend that you don't waste your time with their service department. Try Patriot Subaru in North Attleboro. I had a really pleasant experience with them after Mastria and will be using them for all my service needs in the future. And when the time comes to buy my next Subaru, Patriot Subaru will get my business. read more

My experience with the sales team at Mastria was excellent! Jwana, my sales person, went above and beyond for me .....was well-informed, friendly and answered all of my questions about the different options available to me. Additionally, she did what she said she would do --- good customer service/follow-up skills. Manager Chris Dunn was also a pleasure to deal with. I've read reviews here about the Service Area that are less than stellar but, so far, they've done a good job for me. When I'm back in Massachusetts visiting family, I go to them for normal service and the turnaround time has been quick with no long waits. The team has been helpful and polite. So far, haven't had any major problems/issues to deal with. I would have preferred free service visits to a tire replacement policy though. read more

Got a recall notice for my car telling me that my repair would take 45 minutes. The service tech who signed me in said "those times are never right, I don't know why they put those on there". Love this place! Been here after being tossed around at Quirk and countless other dealerships, I am not joking when I say that I have been to 20 dealerships looking for a car. One of my biggest factors is price and this is the only place who didn't try to start at some ridiculous price. I have done my research and was looking for a company that would give me a price close to http://truecar.com's with great financing. I was in such shock that they did not try to toy with the price; I thanked the sales managers for not giving me the run around. My salesman was Renato, who is more than a salesman, he is a new friend. He encouraged me to test drive the vehicle for as long as I needed to as this was a big purchase and I was clearly uncertain in what vehicle I wanted. I really feel like he worked for me and helped me where he could. I wanted a specific WRX in WR Blue and they located it for me and still gave me a good deal! (I wouldn't have purchased if it was not). When I forgot to get a document to register the vehicle, he brought it to me! He really went the extra mile, or 15 miles for that matter. This place has treated me right so far, and I would recommend them to anyone! The extra warranties they give you are providing you use them for all of your servicing (not a problem for me). They do recommend service more frequently than the manufacturer but supposedly that does not void the extra warranties (tires for life and powertrain) so I guess time will tell as I have not yet been in for service. In the interim the warranties are free so I can't complain. If you're looking to be treated right, choose Mastria. I seldom write 5 star reviews, but after being to so many dealers, this place stands out because they treated me right! read more

Pleasant experience on sales floor with Elon, and happy with my car overall. Low pressure sales tactics that are very refreshing compared to other dealers on the auto mile. However, think long and hard about the vehicle service plan add-on. I came in for some repairs and while most was wear-and-tear, some of the work needed seemed like it would be covered in the plan as presented during my car purchase. Turns out the financing officer who sold it to me didn't even give me all the literature at time of purchase. Not surprisingly, the plan is not as good as presented originally. After some correspondence with Subaru corporate I got the service covered. read more

After inquiring about a WRX STI one of the sales people Tanya, promised me a test drive. I originally inquired online and had planned with Tanya that I would come down last Saturday (I made the appointment the Wednesday prior.) Not only did I get a reminder email everyday from her she felt the need to say she'll make sure to have the car pulled up ready for my test drive at the end of each email. I get there after driving over an hour and don't see the car outside so I walk into the showroom and there it is being blocked by another car. They clearly made no attempt to " have it ready for me". So I start looking at the car and a salesman approaches me and I told him I had an appointment to test drive the car. We chit chat a bit and then I asked if we could take it for a test drive and they looked at me like I was joking and refused to let me drive it because "it's too rare of a model" they said there's only 4 miles on it we cannot let anyone drive it. To which I reply, I came here because Tanya said I could test drive it and I have emails to prove it. They didn't acknowledge what I said and just responded with " we can't do it" and I then told them it took me over an hour to get there and I was upset but they didn't care. Then out of nowhere the fast talking GM approaches and inserts himself into our conversation by saying we just can't do it we cannot put any miles it. He then proceeds to compliment the car I drove there in and the says " I get it, you're a car guy and you keep your car clean but we just aren't letting anyone drive this. I then asked them if they had any other Sti's on the lot I could drive and of course they said no they didn't have any. Complete waste of a Saturday - and to make matters worse I still have Tanya emailing me about this car. read more

Tires-for-Life scheme: it's for real! Delighted to report that after seven years and 45,000 miles, Mastria service deemed my Legacy's tires to be a lost cause, triggering the long-awaited Tires-for-Life guarantee. Specifically, the deal is $175/tire (equals $700 total), not including tax, so ended up paying out-of-pocket for a higher-performance upgrade as I didn't have time to wait for a truly free set to ship. Installed quickly, my newly shod vehicle gripped the road in a noticeably better fashion. Next existential question is whether to continue driving the call all the way out to Southeastern Massachusetts, home of a 57% Donald Trump-voting populace, for the next seven years in order to qualify for the next set of free tires. Guess it depends on whether America has been made great again by 2023! read more

If I could give zero stars I would! I will start with, if I was a Man I believe I would not have experienced such insulting and the discriminatory treatment! Within two weeks of leasing my new 2020 Subaru Forester (40 miles on the odometer), I was back at the Mastria Dealership asking for help with multiple problems: the vehicle had loud and rough shifting of gears, hesitation in the fuel efficiency auto stop, jammed key in the ignition and hydraulic issues in the hatchback door. After six months of visits and discussions with Service, sales Manager Chris Dunn and Vice President of Chief of Operations Edward Ferreira, I was repeatedly told there was no problems with my vehicle and no options available for me. Last weekend, I took my vehicle to State Line Subaru in Somerset to be diagnosed. I was informed first and foremost my drive shaft is defective and needs to be replaced immediately and I have a follow up appointment to resolve the remaining problems. But we've been bringing it here for service ever since and that is why I gave them five stars. They are always friendly, competent and reliable. I've purchased my vehicle at this dealer a couple of years ago. The sales part was decent, got a good deal with the manager through a mutual friend. Decided to service my car there too because of some perks they offered despite being about an hour away from my house. The service guys were nice overall and waiting times were generally appropriate. Prices were average-to-decent compared to other dealers with some small discounts for repeat customers. So why the 2 stars you ask? Here is why: most of the work they did was either average or downright bad. Some examples: 1. they overpoured oil during an oil change so the car would make a puff of black smoke on every start - had to go back to change oil again (that's 1 drive hour each way) 2. the factory left tail light developed a leak a few months after I purchased the car. They swapped in a new one under warranty which promptly developed a leak within a week. Had to go to another dealer that fixed it right on first try. My guess would be that it was installed/sealed improperly at Mastria. Yes, there is a small chance the second part was bad too but 2 bad parts in a row? What are the chances of that happening? 3. I paid them $500 so they fix front and rear bumper dings/scratches for 3 years through a program they have. When I got some scratches (Boston drivers, eh), the scratched side of the rear bumper was painted ok but looked rough and didn't get buffed out properly until I asked 3 times during 3 separate visits. Ditto for the front bumper which ended up completely repainted which, in turn, finally fixed the rough paint problem 4. it took Mastria 3 (sic!) tries to do a recall on the turn signal harness in the left headlight. In-between I had an improperly working left blinker which would blink too fast. When they finally swapped an entire headlight for a new one they didn't adjust it properly so light was noticeably uneven on the highway 5. on a long trip the car was pulling to the right a bit on the highway. An alignment was done by Mastria before I left. I went to another dealership and they found that while everything was within spec Mastria adjusted rear toe to approximately +0.04 on the left and -0.10 on the right. I asked for a print out from Mastria and it confirmed all this. Fronts were close to each other and positive, rears far apart and one negative, one positive. I can keep going but I think you get the picture by now. To be consistent I did get a few minor freebies over the course but considering I bought the car there, serviced it virtually exclusively there and brought them 2 paying customers I'd say it was only fair. When I tried to confront them with this entire list over the internet they basically ignored me because they think I won't be coming back anyway so why bother? read more

Walked into the dealership to ask to look at a car, no one approached us. One person smiled then walked away. We walked onto lot, strolled the line of cars we were interested in a couple times. Two other salesman on lot with other families. Wanted to look inside the Subaru ascent touring line, as we are debating between this and the vw atlas. The salespeople ok lot remained with other families. Went back inside hoping to find help - the sales manager (presumably) saw us multiple times, no acknowledgement. Someone did say someone would be with us in a few minutes. We waited a short period of time and felt we were treated quite rudely and blatantly ignored. Nothing but top service from both sales and the service team. The purchase of our vehicle (about a year ago) was practically effortless. No appointment needed for oil changes and free wifi while you wait! I really feel like the service team is honest and cares about my vehicle. The last time I was there they quoted me on the price of my tune-up...it turns out the tune-up should have cost over $100 more but they honored the original quote. I didn't even have to ask, they just apologized for misquoting me and gave me the original price anyway. We will absolutely continue to get our Subaru serviced at Mastria and if another Subaru is in our future there is no doubt that Mastria is the place we'll go to first. read more
