I am a huge advocate for businesses that embrace having animals on site, as it often adds a charming touch to the shopping experience. The cat at Green Acre is indeed beautiful, but unfortunately, its presence has wreaked havoc on the retail space. The unmistakable odor suggests it has chosen the outdoor furniture as its territory, which detracts significantly from the environment--something that management ought to address promptly. Despite this unnerving aspect, I did spot an exquisite Alocasia Zebrina. This find was the shining moment in an otherwise unpleasant visit. Sadly, I didn't venture into their outdoor section, as the state of the houseplant area was disheartening enough. Many of the plants appeared neglected, with signs of overwatering and distress. It was disappointing to see such potential overshadowed by poor maintenance. If this Green Acre location wishes to improve, they could learn a lot from the Green Acres location in Melissa, whose plant manager truly excels. Her expertise and care are evident, and similar attention is needed in Irving to revive their plant offerings and overall customer experience. Overall, I wish I could grant a higher score, but the current conditions make it difficult to recommend Green Acre Nursery until these issues are addressed.

A month ago, he told me that he was closing shop, but he is still in business. I'm writing this to warn future customers: do not purchase from this company unless you are okay waiting indefinitely with no updates or accountability. Do not believe his leadtimes. We purchased patio furniture mid-to-late April 2024. At the time of purchase, Michael assured us the items were in stock--a key reason we moved forward. That turned out to be false. We followed up on June 1st, and Mike stated he would reach out to his contacts to get us an update. We heard nothing. Followed up again on June 7th--again, radio silence. Called back on June 20th, were told Michael was on another call, and unsurprisingly, no follow-up ever came. He asked us to text instead, which we did. Still, zero response. The only communication since has been Mike vaguely claiming he tried following up with someone, which--given the pattern--is likely untrue. We've lost months trying to get a straight answer on a simple order that was supposedly in stock. He then sent us to shopify which did not provide any additional visibility. Like many others have said in their reviews, the customer service is beyond unacceptable, and Michael is unresponsive, evasive, and confrontational when pressed for updates. If the product is not in their warehouse and ready to load into your car, do not trust promises or timelines. I deeply regret not checking these reviews before making a purchase. We've always tried to purchase from local providers, but this experience has changed our approach. I would highly suggest any future buyer, go purchase elsewhere and actually receive your furniture and peace of mind.
