The service is always good at this location. The staff is very knowledgeable, and the selection of plants are always really nice. The prices are affordable for plants that you would typically pay double much healthier in my opinion. This is definitely one of my favorite locations to do plant shopping.

So sad!!! I used to live to come to Calloway's for inspiration and to find beautiful plants. They have done away with the pots that they used to have around the nursery for inspiration. The plants are just regular stuff you'd find anywhere, inventory is sparse looking, some dead stuff, empty shelves...not worth a special trip anymore. I was literally the only one here. I hope they bring back the old Calloway's!!

Always a great place to visit for indoor plants. It's a bit slim right now with winter coming, tho in spring they are always full of greenery. Staff is always helpful and welcoming. Definitely worth a stop if plant shopping.

This is a fantastic nursery and the niceest In the DFW area that I have been in. The merchandiser here really cares how things look. It's all lined up, priced and toddy! The selection is fantastic and what a convenient location. I will come back here time and time again.

I have been in Calloway's fan for years. Honestly the selection that they provide really cannot be beat by anyone in the Metroplex. Whether it's a seasonal thing that you are looking for a perennial or an annual plant or tree if it grows in Texas they probably have it available to you. I have also been impressed every time I have come here by the knowledge of the staff. Many of their staff members are Master Gardeners and are able to give you advice for any gardening problem or solution that you might be looking for. Another nice touch that Calloway's does is they always have bottles of cold water on hot Texas spring and summer days. There is no charge for them and they're usually located right inside the front door. I also suggest that you join their gardening club. It allows them the ability to track your purchases so that if you need to return anything for any reason they do not have to have your receipt. Being a member also extends a warranty upon the plants that you purchase from them. I have only ever had to you use the warranty one time because every plant that I have gotten from them has been healthy and ready to thrive in my garden. However, being a member also affords you weekly emails that give your substantial savings on your purchases in their Garden Center. Springtime is in the air folks it's time to tend to your beds and Callaway's can help you do that!

I love being part of their garden club if there is a problem they fix it and that is a great program.

On 7/4/26, a staff member was sitting in the cooler handing out water bottles -- 1-2 each -- to select customers, but skipped over us entirely. When we finally got inside, she asked how we were doing. My 80-year-old mother mentioned it was hot, and the employee replied, "Is it that hot since you're out?" -- dismissive, especially right after handing out water to other customers and not us. It felt like the staff cater to a certain type of customer, and we didn't fit that mold. Very disappointing and disheartening after being loyal customers for so long especially on July 4th.

I am that guy who even when i am out of town, I go to local nurseries to see what types of plants are popular in those areas. I only say that to make the point I have been to a lot of nurseries in my day. Covington's is one of the best nurseries I have been to. They have an amazing selection of plants and all of their plants are very healthy and ready for their new homes! Even their half-price greenhouse plants looked great! Their prices were comparable to other local nurseries but selection and service is what Covington's rocks on. I was asked everytime I went to a new section if I needed any assistance. These folks were amazing and I can't wait to come back, even though this place is nowhere near my home!

Your recollection of our conversation the day you provided the estimate left off a very important…read moredetail. You came out in early spring, to provide an estimate, when the sun rises further to the south (this area was shaded at that time) but as we get further into the summer the sun is further North (it's in full sun now). We talked about this! Being the professional landscaper, you should know how the seasons affect the sun/shade in planting areas with fences and structure nearby. In stead of making good on your mistake, you wanted to sell us other plants which we declined because we already paid you to landscape this area. You recommended what plants to plant! The repairs made on the pavers and underground drain is ugly. The pavers have a noticeable dip in them because you reset a small section rather than fixing it correctly. All the pavers should have been reset to slope away from the covered patio. After resetting the pavers, you did not fill in the spaces between the pavers. You would know this if you ever inspected your crews work but you've never been back since providing the estimate. You would have also seen the damage they did to our new gutters. And by the way, we are very pleased with the work our contractor did on our outdoor living space.

There are also some really cute decorations for you yard or patio area, like this adorable Groot planter and some colorful cacti that would make a great addition to any outdoor space. There was not as big of a selection of herbs as I would have liked but they have a house plant area that has some beautiful variations of begonias, pothos, and so many other variety of plants. If you are in the Richardson area you must certainly pop in and see what you can find to add life and color to your home.
