But the worst was when the food came, I ordered over easy eggs, and the came out way undercooked. Like, still very liquid. But since our server never came back to check on us, I ate everything else. While we waited, we heard them explain to someone that they don't make most of their pastries, which was disappointing. When our sever finally came back to drop off the check I showed her the eggs and asked for them to be taken off the bill. She tapped on the handheld device for a second and handed it to me for payment. When I asked for a copy of the receipt, she seemed nervous. After I got it, i noticed that it had not been taken off. She left to go to other tables and I didn't feel like being there anymore. I would suggest skipping this place and trying the other restaurants in the area. Better food and better service!

Instead, I headed over to the pastry case and immediately spotted a chocolate croissant. Chocolate croissants are a favorite in my family, so I knew I had to try one. I had the pleasure of talking with the woman working behind the counter, who turned out to be the owner. She told me she makes the croissants by hand every single day, and you can truly taste the care and effort she puts into them. What makes these croissants stand out is the chocolate distribution. Instead of getting one small section of chocolate that disappears after a couple of bites, the chocolate is spread throughout the entire croissant, making every bite just as good as the last. I bought one that day and immediately knew I needed to go back. That weekend, I returned and bought enough to share with my entire family--and everyone loved them! They have quickly become a family favorite. My daughter and I recently took a trip, and on our way to the airport, I made sure to stop by Meme's Cafe to pick up chocolate croissants for us to enjoy on the flight.
