Stopped by after dropping off a car to get serviced and am shocked how good a traditional croissant bacon egg and cheese sandwich was! The place was cozy and surprisingly busy. Luckily there was a table in the back for us. Reasonable prices! Mine was $6 and it came out piping hot. I was shocked to have been 2/3 done but still saw steam coming from it. How do they do it? The man who dropped our food off at the table was so smiley. It seems like a family owned business. Gotta love it!

Cute little diner. I ordered the classic breakfast with scrambled eggs and my meat choice of bacon. The scrambled eggs were tasty. The bacon was cooked nicely. The two slices of toast were slim slices of bread. The hash browns were disappointing. The perfect oval shape is the giveaway they are premade and reheated and it tasted like it. The orange juice was served in a small bottle.

The pastries were really good. The biscuits and gravy was inconsistent. One had barely and sausage and one was covered in it. The coffee was weak and the coffee area a cross contamination nightmare waiting to happen. I also didn't appreciate being served on a chilled plate. The establishment was busy but the tables and lay out making getting around difficult especially if you have any mobility issues. I will be back but for a grab and go and not to eat there.

We walked in for the first time and were pleasantly surprised the former owner of Kelly's Donuts owns this place. She was smiling and ready to take out order. I was shocked at how low the prices are. I finally feel like I'm being fairly charged when not at a full service restaurant. You can dine in but you order at the register first and then they will bring it to your table. We ordered a build your own omelet, chicken Philly, BLT (added egg), pancakes, and breakfast burrito. Everything came out quick and delicious with the exception of the pancakes. I would skip those next time. The Philly was on a croissant and that was another unexpected surprise. We will definitely return...maybe even tomorrow.

Cute little spot for a quick breakfast bite. It's like breakfast at your mom's. Simple menu, made fresh at a reasonable price. I would support a locally owned place like this instead of a chain any day of the week. Owner greats you when you walk in and employees are nice. For the breakfast burrito you could choose your protein (ham, bacon or sausage) I do wish the peppers and onions were sautéed and not raw, but it was good regardless. Cheese danish was good and they heated it up for me. If in the area would drop back in. The cappuccino was one of the machine type like you get at quick trip.

Stopped in for a quick breakfast one morning running errands. Must have arrived before the crowd so we were able to quickly place our order. The dining area was clean with mostly table for 2-4 people. At the counter, there was a case of donuts and baked good to choose from as well as a menus to order other breakfast choices. We ordered a supreme omelet and a classic breakfast along with an "old fashioned" donut. Supreme omelet was good, a little dry. The classic breakfast I ordered with scrambled eggs with cheese and those came out with a slice of American cheese melted on top. The hash browns were the rectangular store bought type. I wasn't expecting that. There was a coffee bar that you filled your own coffee and they had numerous creamers to choose from. Next visit I plan to try a breakfast sandwich or burrito, seen a couple being served and they looked great!!

Loved this homey cafe. The lady and gentleman working there this morning was very sweet.

So peaceful, beautiful, and the perfect start to our morning! What truly made the experience exceptional was our server, Jenn. She was incredible from start to finish!! She was warm, attentive, and genuinely thoughtful. She made great recommendations, checked on us at all the right times, and went above and beyond in ways you don't see often. My husband is picky about biscuits and gravy, and Jenn kindly brought him a sample of the gravy first to make sure he'd like it...such a small gesture to some people, but truly made it special for my husband. She even sent us off with coffee to go, which we really appreciated!! The food was just as impressive. I had the traditional breakfast. Everything was cooked perfectly, the potatoes were nice and crispy, Jenn recommended the ham, which was so flavorful and perfectly charred, so good!!! My husband ended up loving his biscuits and gravy! Between the amazing service, delicious food, and relaxing riverfront setting, this was easily one of our favorite breakfast experiences. Jenn truly made it memorable, and we'll definitely be asking for her every time we come back. Can't wait to return!!

What a charming cafe in the middle of a charming Downtown area!…read more It was freezing the morning we went in, but I was wanting breakfast - specifically pancakes. I had this place in the bookmarks and figured now was the best time to visit. Parking can be an issues in Downtown St. Charles since it is limited to street parking or public parking a few blocks away. We found parking right in front of FPC, mainly because it was a cold, Monday morning. We were greeted immediately, and inside was much smaller than I expected. We got seated right away though, and a good chance to really review the menu. I got a house coffee (delicious), and my husband got a Purple Haze Lemonade. We ended up getting a kid's pancake with bacon and scrambled eggs, Short Rib Breakfast Stack, and a Bomb Burrito. The pancake for my 2 year old was MASSIVE so it was a good day for him lol. The short rib stack was yummy - hash browns with runny eggs and meat on top. The burrito was also pretty good. Our breakfast entrees came with a side order of potatoes and while it was good, it got saltier over time so I might not get that next time. They advertise beignets, so we might go for that next time and try out their lunch menu!

I normally don't like leaving negative reviews, but something felt different this time. When we walked in there was only one other couple dining, and there was noticeable clutter sitting in the corners of the restaurant. It gave the place a different feel than what we remembered from our last visit. I ordered the Creole Breakfast Gravy. The biscuit itself was excellent--light, fluffy, and exactly how a biscuit should be. Unfortunately the gravy was disappointing. It tasted more like regular sausage gravy with a heavy amount of cayenne pepper and Cajun seasoning added to it. The flavors just didn't balance well. My wife ordered the Eggs Benedict. One poached egg was perfect, but the other came out over medium. That's something a trained chef normally wouldn't send out, and it made me feel like the kitchen might have a cook working the line rather than a chef overseeing the dishes. I do want to say the waitress was phenomenal. She was very attentive, friendly, and always made sure our coffee stayed fresh and hot. Her service was definitely the highlight of the visit. We will likely come back again because we know this restaurant can do better. Hopefully the kitchen can correct a few things and bring the consistency back.

The sliders are a must-order and were one of the highlights of the meal. I do have two suggestions that would easily make this one of my regular spots. Those two small changes would make both drinks well worth the price tag and definitely have me coming back for them. Make sure to request Levi as your server. The space itself is so cute, it's very intentional and aesthetic. The pink stripes, ceiling clouds, plant paintings on the wall make it so unique. They have a pretty extensive menu, and I ordered a Garden Muse salad and it was delicious. I'm really simple and when it comes to salads, as long as the ingredients are fresh I'm happy. This hit the nail on the head. I added chicken and that made it super filling. The dressing wasn't sweet (which I prefer) and it's safe to say this is one of my new favorite salads :) I also ordered one of the latte specials which was a birthday cake latte. If there was an order counter for the outside and a host at the front, maybe a lot of issues with walk-ins could be eliminated. Because we were not familiar with this restaurant and literally came here on a whim, we had to order take out. It didn't take too long for our order to come out, maybe 20 minutes. The service here is okay, and I don't know if the nature of it being busy takes away from the service or the team that day was just over it! Our food was pretty good, but if you get the chance to eat there, it would be better straight from the kitchen! The cinnamon roll and fried egg sandwich were probably the best items. I think their latte was pretty good which had a lovely cold foam and strawberry! Definitely, if you have time to spare and want a very specific experience, try this space! Just be ready to wait a while!
