Jesus died for our sins. Give your life to Him,

On my vacations, I always attempt to find a Calvary Chapel out of the area to see just how they are and if they're right on with the Lord. I like to hear different speakers...and I've been very fortunate to come across Calvary Chapel..Costa Mesa...and they're right on with the Lord. Well, they should be. Pastor Chuck Smith is the pastor and founder of Calvary Chapel. What I really liked...is that people can sit outside on the wall and have the service projected through the window....and that was real cooool.. Listening to the music is so cool. God loves it when people praise Him with music and worship. Great service...great place...with great people.. Stay focused on the Lord and not on man. Read your Bible. It tells you the truth of what is happening today in these tough times. Bible stands for: Bible Instructions Before Leaving Earth.

This church has become our family church and we are so happy to announce that. While listening on KWAVE I heard Brian Broderson speaking and everything he said was about the Holy Spirit and Forgiveness and the true teachings of Jesus Christ. I heard Pastor Chuck speaking and was captivated many times by the absolute truth he preached about and when I realized he had passed and Brian was his son-in-law I just knew that Chuck left behind his church in to more than capable hands and I wanted my child to be there for it. My husband was baptized two weeks ago here and last Sunday Brian Broderson married us. We are part of the women and mens ministries and maybe soon I can become part of the Childrens ministries and get my baby involved. The church is beautiful, the staff is involved and the love here is tangible. Christ is in our hearts and he joins us within these walls. We thank God for giving us the message through KWAVE and the Holy Spirit for guiding us to our new family.

82 yr old Pastor Chuck Smith emphasizes the truth of the Bible and how it makes your life better. Calvary uses the New King James Bible translation. You can watch Pastor Smith's sermons online at: http://www.calvarychapelcostamesa.com/pages/SundayMorning Calvary's Statement of Faith asserts that the believer's chief desire is to know Jesus Christ and to be "conformed in His image" by the power of the Holy Spirit. Calvary is non-denominational and believes that God's love ought to unite Christians of all stripes. Its four guiding principles encapsulate the church vision that worship should be: SPIRITUAL, so they yield to God's direction. INSPIRATIONAL, so they play music in the church. INTELLIGENT, so they study the Bible's teachings. FRUITFUL, so they see God as their first love.

We have been going to CCCM for about a month now.. Driving from Mission Viejo way up near RSM. It takes a good 20-25 min but worth the drive. The message is Holy Spirit led and the music is awesome. Brian Broderson preaches a great message The Easter Service had Paul Baloche as a special guest. Why go to a church were other people play Paul's music when you can hear the original artist play his own music. That's why I like a large church... They have better worship music.

A few things I love: 1. Calvary is a multigenerational church: there are many white/gray hairs, people who have lived life and stayed faithful who you can learn from. There are also a lot of younger people and young families. 2. This is not a tiny church, and it's not a mega church. There are many opportunities to serve and grow. But it isn't impersonal or over-produced like some mega churches. 3. Calvary church is very missional -- they support many organizations and missionaries in Orange County and around the world. They support over 1 MILLION dollars in missions, local and world, pop up pantry, orange county rescue mission, birth choice, etc. 4. The church has a spanish speaking service, a mandarin service, and its located in Santa Ana. People are down to earth, and there is diversity. 5. Finally the church has solid biblical teaching -- I have grown spiritually at this place, learned more about Jesus and His Word.

You'll be able to quickly determine what has shaped them based on their default conversation. Modern culture dominates the conversation, and you'll quickly learn about their personal lives, their travel experiences, what they did last weekend. Then they'll critique each other's sermon from the previous Sunday. You may like how cool they are with the latest youth culture lingo and slang. Everything is super casual and informal. It seems like this is what the congregation wants so it works, I guess. It's like an adult version of youth group.

The church itself is beautiful, I've never attended mass here so I can't say how it is. The immersive experience was very nice and very informative. I love that everything here was proven with data and that there really was a man, Jesus Christ, that was crucified the way the bible is written! This shroud is a replica and from what I saw it will be on display here until 2030 with hopes of getting renewed. We all loved it! I highly recommend it!

I had made an oath and felt genuinely called to go pray. When I arrived, Mass was already in progress, but I only intended to quietly join for a few minutes. As I walked in, an older woman at the front stopped me. I was wearing a hat, which I planned to remove once I sat down, but before I could do that, she told me I wasn't allowed to enter. I asked why, explaining that I just wanted to pray and be part of the service. She refused and told me I couldn't come in. Then, she went as far as to physically hit my hat and told me I was being disrespectful. I asked again if she was seriously denying me access to join the Mass and pray, and she said yes. She told me to go to the chapel instead if I wanted to pray. I've never experienced anything like this before especially in a place that's supposed to be open to anyone seeking God. It felt wrong to be turned away like that when all I wanted was to pray and express gratitude.
