No complaints about this Long Island Bagel shop. We walked here a couple of times from my brother's house. They have a great variety of bagels and cream cheeses. The bagels are just as a bagel should be light and fluffy. I had a toasted everything bagel with sun dried tomato cream cheese the first time and the second time I had an everything bagel with jalapeño cream cheese. The jalapeño cream cheese had pieces of chedder cheese in it whi ch was yummy. They give you a generous helping of cream cheese, maybe a little too much for me, so I just took some off. This is pretty solid bagel joint. Decided to re-visit this place while stopping in to the old neighborhood. I can honestly say that this place established the standard for which all other bagels shall be judged for me 20 years ago. The interior has changed a bit from back then but the bagels are still amazing. Back then this was a very simple bagel joint. You walked in, two fridge cases on the right with butter, cream cheese and eggs in the case. The're were less then eight types of bagels to choose from back then. This is the best place for bagels in North Massapequa IMO. Whenever I am visiting the area, I want a bagel from here. I had a bacon egg and cheese on an egg everything bagel and yum! They have good veggie cream cheese too (if you're into that). There is usually a little line, but definitely worth the wait. Most of the bagels are nice and soft, but if you want the best one, ask which ones are warm and they will feel them and tell you which ones came out of the oven most recently. read more

I drove 45 minutes to get some bagels and cream cheese and let me tell you... The bagels are delicious and the creamcheese... To Die For! I ordered the Funfetti cream cheese, Raisin/Walnut cream cheese and Sundried Tomato/Scallion cream cheese. MOUTHWATERING!!! My new fav bagel spot. Bagels are always fresh and don't weigh you down. Two scrambled eggs s&p,well done bacon, and American cheese on an everything bagel is my go to. Iced tea is addicting so don't say you weren't warned- I only wish it came larger than 20oz! Most of the employees are friendly and welcoming. My favorite bagel place, my favorite bagels. I walk here frequently for breakfast/lunch and they never disappoint. There's a small bit of seating inside and two small tables outside. I adore getting bacon and egg on an egg everything bagel, and my whole family loves their tuna. I have been going to Calvert for many years. It is the only place I found Brooklyn bagels and bialys. I always buy the whole wheat bialys however recently there seems to be a change in the formula. The bialys were much lighter in color which would seem that other flour (possibly white flour or multi grain) was added to the mixture. Also I buy the sliced lox and this week the lox was dry. Otherwise the bagels are great. Service is good. Midday service a little slow morning service moves fast. read more

My favorite bagel place hands down. Nothing compares. Service isn't that slow as the other reviews say, it honestly just depends on what time of day you go. It's especially popular in the morning I would guess between 8-10 and during lunch time. It's busy but that's a good thing, bc it tells you how good those bagels really are. I am originally from Bellmore, and they have really good bagels in the area, moving to Suffolk (Lindenhurst) I was in search for a new bagel store, they all suck out here!!! I found this place and love love love there bagels, I drive Saturday morning to Seaford and grab a few bagels for the weekend...delicious and they last for a few days so I can have one mid week n there still perfect with a little toasting....actually on my way to go there now!! :) read more

I love the bagels and the coffee here. Everything is consistently good that I come back every weekend. Only issue is that it seems they are using not enough butter/ cream cheese. Last week I had one of the newer boys and when I got home I was shocked at how little cream cheese was on the bagel. Seems like other reviews on here are talking about the lack of butter/ cream cheese. Not sure if they are trying to save money but at least put a decent amount and give the customer the choice if they'd like to wipe some off if it's too much. read more

I get an assortment of sandwiches and bagels. the bagels are always delicious, whether it's an everything or a French toast bagel. I love that Calvert sells rye sticks- that's a rare find nowadays. the only problem I have is that the workers tend to be more interested in their own conversations than helping the customers. I have, on more than one occasion, waited over 20 minutes to order. it's also frustrating when there are four workers behind the counter and no one is helping customers. overall, I continue to come to this bagel store because of the quality and quantity. the prices are more than fair and I have never complained. read more

I really like the product this place sells. They do a lot right in the actual taste of everything but they have a huge flaw that I see over and over again to the point of delerium...they get my order wrong right around half of the time. I have never seen such a high percentage of misses and it is totally baffling. Not cheap by any means so it isn't like there's always some underlying reward where you would just let mistakes go. Usually it seems to be caused by the young girls who are so busy chatting with each other and their friends but it also happens when you get the more adult aged servers. Here is the real problem in my scenario. I usually get one bagel with a topping and I always give them the benefit of the doubt that it isn't too much to handle. I used to wonder how other bagel places kept all order details straight but there is nothing to wonder about here. They cannot keep anything straight. So here's some examples from the last year...onions completely missing from a lox bagel when it is listed on the menu with onions, getting a sesame bagel only to find out it isn't sesame when you open the package, the wrong type of cream cheese and then being told it is because of something i said which really was just a girl trying to get out of asking a question to clear up her confusion when i ordered something so very straight forward. The list never ends and I would have given this place 5 stars if they didn't act so silly so often. They also act like they are hot stuff but literally can't handle the basics of the business. Lucky for them the bagels are rock solid and the white fish salad is dopeeeee. Speaking of which you aren't allowed to buy less than half a pound of white fish salad. For Long Island, this store is such a disappointment. The service is terribly slow. I was second on line and by the time someone even acknowledged a customer, the line was out the door. The servers kept walking back and forth and not making eye contact with the customers like they didn't want to be the one to take an order. Then when we ordered 4 bagels with cream cheese it took around 15 minutes before we were handed 4 bagels sloppily wrapped in paper and covered in cream cheese. We had to ask the lady to put it in a bag because she was handing us 4 stacked bagels with cream cheese all over her hands and the bagels. Also, when we asked our server if she could speed it up because we were trying to catch a train, the lady at the register interjected and directed her not to go faster and to keep working at her own pace in a very loud volume which was very awkward. Went there around 5:45 am. I asked the person behind the counter "what's hot" , she replied "everything". At that time in the morning I figured everything was. I also asked 2 time not too much butter. The older women who was helping wasn't too friendly either.She seem more interested in talking with her co-worker. Calvert manor bagels are wonderful but DO NOT expect much from the service. They can't get orders right on bagel sandwiches at all. Burger King drive through has a better track record. After standing on line ( which is a tribute to how good the bagels are) to have to come home with the wrong order over and over again is disappointing.
