If you're in the area you have to give this bagel shop a try. I have been here a few times and they have the best bialys I've ever had,so fresh and soft with just the right amount of onion bits on them and I can't forget the bagels which are also very good. Today I got there shrimp salad and it was very delicious the shrimp will cook just right with just the right amount of seasoning in them.they have a lot of people working behind the counter so the line moves very quickly. A bagel store in Nassau county that I've never been to? I know I was just as surprised as you. And this place is a hidden (to me at least) gem. First off the ladies who run the place are friendly and efficient. Just looking at the salads, you'll know that the food is fresh. The bagels are well baked and plentiful even after the middle of the day. And they have terrific varieties as well. One thing that is unique, and a very refreshing thing: when you order a sandwich, they don't force you to have a side salad that you probably wouldn't have wanted; instead they let you take the bag of chips that you actually want with your sandwich. As a delivery driver it is not acceptable to wait 15 minutes for an order. People were coming in and ordering sandwiches and leaving before me with my order. This by far is my favorite bagel store in Farmingdale. Usually on weekends there will be a longer line but what else can you expect for good quality bagels. If your order a bagel it is usually quick once you are in the front of the line. If you are ordering a breakfast sandwich, just be ready to wait but it does come with a free coffee or drink. I was visiting Farmingdale and chose Bagel Hut because even the bad reviews tend to start with "The bagels are great, but..." There's no "but" on that sentence for me though. I had a great experience and the bagels are fantastic. A strong candidate for the best everything bagels I've ever had. One of the owners welcomed me (I was visiting from out of town), asked how I heard of the place, and gave me a free cup of coffee. Plus there where two free bagels for every dozen. It's unfortunate that I have to give this place two stars. I want to desperately like it being that it's very close to my home, but every time I give this place another try it lets me down even more. The place is usually crowded (not really sure why) and it takes forever to get to the front of the line to order. Once you get to the front you realize it's because everything behind the counter is chaotic. My last visit, the woman who took our order was borderline nasty to us. The bagels here are pretty decent, maybe slightly above average. They have a vast selection of cream cheeses. I have had their olive or vegetable cream cheese but this time I wanted to try the bacon and onion cream cheese. I was upset when I bit into my bagel and tasted the artificial flavor of "bacon bits". It ruined both the cream cheese and the bagel itself. I also have ordered egg sandwiches from here in the past and they are very stingy with the contents from the meat to the egg and of course the cheese. read more

I work within 19 minutes of this place. we order from here very often, and usually i order with 3-4 people at my office. When i order with Grubhub we usually just click the 25% tip option. today it was only two of us ordering. total of the order was $16 with a $3 tip. We get a call from what i presume is the owner saying "ehh sorry i dont know if the driver will want to do the delivery for only a $3 tip" I am bewildered. I ask the owner "So tell me what the tip minimum is" hoping that he will realize the lunacy of it all. Stopped in looking for some Long Island style bagels.. Definitely came to the right place! The bagels are delicious and you can buy a half dozen and get a bagel free or a whole dozen and get 2 bagels for free. The rainbow bagels do cost a little bit extra- 50 cents extra. They do have a funfetti cream cheese spread that is AWESOME.. It is on the sweeter side and almost tastes like funfetti cake mix blended with cream cheese. My friend got an egg and cheese on an everything bagel and received a free small coffee with it. Loved this place. Totally worth the price. They also had a large deli menu that looked delicious if you were to arrive for lunch. Wish there were more places like this back in Buffalo! read more

Ambiance and wait staff: this place is a bagel place/deli... there are about 6 tables to sit at. You go to the counter and order your food and either leave with it or sit! They also have delivery available. The people behind the counter are helpful, not overly kind... most of them are either older ladies or very young people ! Food: this particular day we just ordered bagels with cream cheese. The bagels are AMAZING, soft and delicious. The egg everything bagel is my favorite. They also have tie-dyed bagels, jalapeño bagels, bacon, egg and cheese bagels, spinach bagels... and of course all the normal flavors as well! They have many different types of cream cheeses, we got regular and chocolate chip! Yum! The bagels are good but unfortunately they don't switch out their gloves before touching your food after handling money, credit cards or their cell phones which definitely isn't sanitary. Having moved to Farmingdale 3 years ago BH is now right around the corner and thus has become the go to for quick breakfasts and the goods for at home family brunches, still the best bagels in the area & stellar egg sandwiches so it's a no brainer most of the time - just be prepared for long lines on the weekends and if you're in the market for lunch know that the offerings are nowhere near as vast as places like broadway gourmet, otherwise it's all good here at the hut read more

Editing, finally got though to bagel hut and the owner resolved my issue. After waiting for over one and a half hours for a delivery that other places nearby do in 15 mins, the food arrived missing two items and stone cold. We love their home fries but it is not worth the poor customer service! The young man who delivers the food is very nice and it is not his fault so I still tip him but the place itself needs to improve a lot, it is useless if they can't get the orders complete and in a reasonable time! read more
