We started with the boudain egg rolls, then ordered the Bayou, Sampler, and Cajun boils, a chicken fried steak, and the Redfish Pontchartrain. Even our one-year-old loved her mac and cheese and fried okra. Everything was delicious. They are BYOB, which was great, and Pinky's is just down the road if you need to grab something before dinner. The cheesecake and beignets were the perfect desserts for our birthday girls. The service was amazing as well. Our server was kind, attentive, and even got the staff to sing to my daughter, which made the evening extra special. My only complaint is that it was a little warm inside, but that wasn't enough to take away from a great experience. Our waitress, Maddy, was so sweet and welcoming! great service makes such a difference! We started with the gator bites and they were so good! Great flavor and the sauces paired perfectly with them. For my meal, I ordered "The Bayou" and it was packed with flavor. It wasn't the crawfish étouffée I'm used to, but honestly, it was still delicious. The catfish served with it was cooked perfectly! My husband and I both ordered $80 combined online only minutes apart. When we arrived my husband's order was ready mine wasn't. The server stated that my order did not show up in their system and that the manager would not allow it to be prepared until it did. At the same time, the server had a printed receipt that was identical to the one displayed in my app. There was no manager visible or available to speak with during this time. Eventually, someone authorized the server to prepare my order. While I understand the need to prevent fraud, the situation could have been handled far more professionally and with clearer communication. I was asked to sign a DoorDash-style pickup log and provided both my email receipt and my driver's license, which clearly showed my name. Despite this, I was made to feel as though I was attempting to claim an order that wasn't mine. At the very least, it would have been helpful to speak directly with the manager. Going above and beyond would have been remaking my husband's order, which had been sitting out and grew cold while we waited. Instead, the experience felt disorganized and uncomfortable, leaving us both disappointed. I did submit a complaint through the store survey and gave permission to be contacted, but so far there has been no follow-up. There should be a more professional way to handle this type of situation.
