I loveeeee this pizza. It quickly became a New Jersey fave for me. I have to preface this by saying: you HAVE to like sweet sauce if you're going to give this place a try. If you're not into that, you will literally hate it here. I happen to love it. This is the sweetest pizza sauce I've ever had, in the best, most addictive way. It goes so well with the cheese. The pizza's on the thinner side, but has a great fluff, which I also love, and the crust is more flavorful than it may appear at first. The place is a total dive, which is my jam, and a hidden gem in plain sight. The staff is always incredibly nice, and the price is great for nowadays at just under $17 for a large pie and under $3 for a slice. It's almost half an hour from me, but always worth the drive. Tomato pie. Best pizza this side of the Delaware. The pizza is for sure the star here. There's no other like it, Thin crust and crispy. Sauce is a little tangy and sweet and cheese is fresh. Awesome pizza!! Not your traditional Brooklyn pie but tasty and all the right ratios nonetheless. Crust is light and crispy but sturdy enough for the sauce (although the Margherita pie may get a little heavy bc of the fresh tomatoes). We had the Meat Lovers, Spinach Dip, and Margherita. Delicious and generous assortment of meat atop the Lovers pie, and beautifully fresh and punchy artichokes and ricotta on the S.Dip. We also had a side of meatballs to start and they were soft and easily eaten with a fork alone, as it should be; no overly mixed or tough from too many bread crumbs meat grenades. My only wish would be they are pan fried before swimming in sauce to give a bit more texture but that's a preference, not a mandatory for a good meatball. Prices are reasonable, too. Stop by and try it Cambiotti's if you're a local and never have. Too good to miss. read more

We have been going to Cambiotti's since they opened in 2000. We still go because we love the food. The pizza is excellent with a wonderful crust and whatever toppings you might want. The sandwiches are a delight and I love the salads. Family likes just about everything. If your not in the mood for Italian, they do offer burgers and a few others. I'm a vegetarian and they have a number of choices. They are very accommodating with food choices. The service has been consistently outstanding through the past 25 years. The ambiance is typical small town wonderful. It is just a very nice restaurant with excellent food, service and ambiance. Dave, the owner, is also very nice. read more

So after having this place bookmarked for a long time, I finally had a chance to stop by for lunch today. What a great find! I had read articles listing Cambiotti's as one of the best pizza parlors in Jersey, and would say I agree that it's right up there! You walk up to counter and tell the server if you would like plain or a topping. Pizza is made fresh and brought to your table. I went for a sausage topping and it was excellent! Thin crust with a really good taste! The restaurant is tucked away in a quiet area right near Lake Hopatcong. Right off 80 and easy to find. Service was very friendly, parking easy, nice and clean, reasonable prices. I will be back! read more

Myself & my entire extended family have been patrons of Cambiottis since the day it opened! They're pies are so unique- there's nothing around here like it!! Quattro Formagi... and Quattro Stagioni... OMG THE BEST! Great sized meals whether dining in or out. Chicken Francaise is soooo yummy, and penne w vodka sauce is delish. Dave, the owner, is a super nice guy. Very friendly staff and busking atmosphere. Catering is always a good value. They don't scrimp on giving you mixed sized platters. Hands down best pizza in the area. I'm upset it took me this long to find this place since moving to Morris county. The dough is light and they cook the pie really well giving the pie a crispy crust. I was surprised when I first tried the pizza because the sauce is on the sweeter side but I have to say it works! Here's the deal: Called in a thin crust 14" pizza 1/2 sausage The place wasn't very busy at the time but the counter people were polite and the pizza was Fresh, hot and ready when they said he would be ! The pizza smelled so good I had to break into it right in parking lot from the car. Very good crisp crust with a soft dough texture. The sauce is definitely on the sweet side but very good ! A diamond in the rough! A hidden gem off of a county road in a town you've probably never heard of before (if you're not from northwest Jersey that is). Hands down, Cambiotti's got the best thin crust pizza in a 25 mile radius (at least). Better than some I've had in other parts of Jersey, truth be told. It was thin but not too thin, a bit fluffy but also crisp, and loaded with a generous portion of fresh toppings. Sounds perfect right? Well, it was! You'll probably find a picture of their exterior under the definition of basic. But don't let it deter you, their interior is surprisingly clean and cozy. Probably can't convince you to drive out to the boonies just for their pizza. Will a pretty lake around the corner help? Best pizza in the area and one of the best pies I've ever had. I've been to pizza joints all over Jersey and NYC and this place is up there with the best. Very unique pie. Not thin crust by any means. Their tomato sauce is what makes it. It's got a little sweet to it IMO. Not dessert sweet but I detect a sweet tomato taste. The sauce is outstanding. I've also had their meatballs on a sub and on a pie. Delicious. Also it isn't on the menu but one of my favorite dishes is cavatelli with their OUTSTANDING meat sauce. If you ask they'll make it. Only did take out and pick up but the inside is clean and their staff and delivery drivers are friendly. Bummed that I haven't visited this place sooner. Went here after a friend told me about it. I consider myself something of a pizza snob and don't mind traveling a bit for a pizza. There's very good pizza in my own town, but went 20 minutes away for this, and it was worth the trip. I only ordered 2 plain pies, which is a true test to determine a pie's quality. It didn't disappoint! Cooked to well done, as all pies should be. A nice proportion of cheese to sauce, less cheesy than a normal pie, and sauce was slightly sweet, but not as sweet as some reviews here suggest. Crust was thinner than a traditional pie, but thicker than a bar pie. It would have been pretty easy to put away a whole large pie by myself if I didn't exercise some restraint. Will definitely return to try some non-pizza items, as the menu contains some pretty refined selections, as well as the standard stuff. Cambiotti's regular large tomato pie is outstanding! Great crisp/chewy crust. And the sauce is sweet and there is just enough cheese and spices. Very consistent every time we order. And leftovers reheat well! We also got a chef's salad and we were delighted with the amount of olives, artichoke hearts, cheese, ham & Turkey!
