Good food good service and. While a little older in the restaurant it is a decent atmosphere overall. Bonus they sell beer! This place has been around for a long time always had a good local reputation. Nothing here is going to blow you away it is just a good local pizza place. Which is appreciated. read more

Close to authentic taste and mouth feel of Brooklyn pizza. Very nice staff, prices reasonable. And yes, back in the day, canned mushrooms were indeed a Brooklyn pizza motif, but it's 2025 any no one needs or wants those grey spongy things on their slice! Go fresh and it will make a difference! read more

My order was written down wrong and when i got there Sal was super apologetic and made sure it was corrected. He gave me the wrong items for free which he did not have to do at all and everything i got was absolutely delicious. We ordered a chicken parm pie with vodka sauce and it was accidentally made as a sandwich. But both as the sandwich and the pie were out of this world. We also ordered a Sicilian pie which was amazing. Would definitely recommend this pizza place. Best in the area read more

This place has gone downhill. Used to love it but recently in the past few months every time we order from them their pizza is soupy, super oily, and rushed. We received this pizza from delivery in the picture at 3 pm on a Saturday and it was not even cut in six like usual, it was cut in 4 so we had to cut it ourselves with the pizza slicer at home, and the pizza was falling apart! Plus it wasn't even hot when it arrived. Definitely won't be ordering from them anymore because they continue to disappoint. It was 3:00 in the afternoon why was the pizza such a mess? I doubt it was busy, and we only live about 5 mins from sal's. So wish this place was better since it's so convenient to home! read more

Yum! I was in NJ for a couple of days and stopped in to this place because it was close to my hotel. The pasta marinara was so delicious. This marinara sauce is for the garlic lovers out there. It was so good that I ate my leftovers for breakfast the next morning. I wish I could have packed them up and brought them back to Charlotte, NC with me. Ordered the white pizza with tomato and basil. It was delicious. Loved how they swirled the ricotta around the whole pizza instead heaping it in certain areas on the pie like most others do. A good pizza is hard to find! UNLESS you are looking at Sal's Pizza in Stanhope, NJ! I enjoy the puffy, soft crust! This is MY style of Italian Pie! The tomato sauce is 'molto delizioso' delicious! Herb spicy, almost peppery, not over salty! Again, to my taste! And the toppings! Traditional yet wonderful! I have enjoyed their meatball, their pepperoni, sausage, ham and bacon! I have had the meat toppings individually and mixed! I've always been satisfied! Their mushrooms, peppers and pineapple add zip and zest to a pie! Ordered a large sausage pizza here yesterday. It was very very bland, no Taste to it at all. Paid $15 and some change for the pizza plus tip. And I was not happy. I rather eat Ellio's Pizza, at least the frozen pizzas have a better taste. It didn't take long for the pizza to be delivered but honestly it was not worth the time to order. I am NEVER getting a pizza from Sal's Pizza in Stanhope, NJ ever again. I ordered a pizza with ham and pineapple and it cost me $20.75. It has hardly any ham and pineapple on it and when I called and spoke with Sal he said, "it was a dollar over. I'll give you $1 next time" and then said goodbye and hung up. WTF? Ok one I only spent $17 and change last time and it wasn't that long ago and two how are you going to give me a dollar back next time? You didn't take my name or anything. I grabbed a cold sub to go. It was just okay I could have made the same thing with low grade grocery store produce and sliced meat. Also they don't take credit cards I had to use their ATM for a $2 fine. I really wanted some pizza but it looked like it had been sitting out since lunchtime. Gross.
