Horrible experience. In the fall of 2025 they had my car for 3 weeks and it had to go back 2 additional times to "fix" things that they did not fix correctly when they had it. Once at home I opened the hood and found that the fender was not bolted on properly and found 3 loose fender bolts sitting by the wipers. I brought it to another shop and they showed me all of the mistakes with photos. Needless to say I paid that shop out of pocket to have it done properly and safely. I wouldn't even give 1 start but that is the lowest you can give STAY AWAY. read more

Worst auto body shop in MA. The new owners have no idea what they are doing and damaged my car multiple times while trying to repair, including detaining it for a month! In addition, they did an awful job with two other people in my network. Stay away! read more

They were so easy to work with! We used them when we had a minor rear bumper issue and then when my nanny got into a car accident, they were the first and only call we made. They have been pro's at dealing with my insurance, following up with the appraiser and keeping us in the loop with what was going on. They are our family's body shop from now on! read more

Jim the owner was super responsive, helpful in coming to see my damaged car in my driveway before tying it up for me so I didn't need to tow it to the auto body. He took my car and dealt with ordering parts quickly and he is great in keeping me in the loop with phone calls and updates. Highly recommend!!! read more

Worst body shop ever they don't change any parts even though they got paid for a new one they've fill them full of bondo

"Never go to a mechanic who doesn't know you by your first name" - Raymond Lang (my high school history teacher) Jim isn't a mechanic, but you get my drift. Jim may not know you by your first name, but he treats his customers like he's known them for years. Long story short my side rearview mirror was taken off in the middle of the night. I woke up the next morning, called the Nissan dealership in Newton and they told me the cost to purchase the mirror, paint it, and install would be around $400. I hung the phone up and drove over to Cambridge Street Auto Body; spoke with Jim, he spoke with his used parts guy, and Jim got me a mirror (not in perfect condition, but I'm not complaining) in two days for $100, the installation took all of 5 minutes. Jim said a new mirror may cost me an extra $20 or $30 once it's been painted (so that's $130 where's the other $270 coming from Nissan??), but if you don't mind one from the junkyard (which I didn't) it would be $100 dollars. So keep in mind I could've gotten a brand new mirror, but it just wasn't important to me. This was the third time I've had to bring my car into him, and Jim is great. He'll call you with any questions he has for you, and he's MORE than fair an honest with his work. I don't care how far away I live, I'll drive in and drop my car off with him, that's how much I trust him. read more

My wife and I both fell victims to the hard snow from the late March snowstorm, and so we both needed some auto body work done. We brought both of our cars to Jim at Cambridge Street Auto Body, and he was very good in telling us up front what was involved with insurance and any out of pocket costs. They did an excellent job of both cars, and even better, dealing with any insurance problems that came up. There was even a part that wasn't needed for my wife's car, so they just deducted that cost from her deductible. More savings for her!! A really nice place to do business. Accidents happen, even if it is not your fault, and Jim knows how to take care of his customers. They are very close to an Enterprise so you shouldn't have to wait too long for a rental car. The final price even came in under the estimate. Instead of pocketing the difference, which he could have done, he passed the savings onto me. The shop also offers flexible hours, so getting there around your work schedule is fairly easy. I normally don't like mechanics, but I do like this place. A great guy, who proves the simplest way to raise your online profile is to take care of your customers. Had a great experience with Cambridge Street Auto Body after my first car accident. Jim (the owner) worked with my insurance company to take care of extra payments not covered by the initial assessment, and kept me updated on costs and completion time. He also has connections with Enterprise Rent-a-Car down the street, and arranged a rental car + pickup for me for when I dropped my car off. Most importantly, he did a great job fixing my car (front and rear bumper damage), and was nice enough to buff out some scratches and pitch that weren't even part of the accident. I cannot say enough great things about Cambridge Street Auto Body. I have taken my car there twice (the first time was just for auto body repair). The second time I called because my hood line snapped and my starter died suddenly. I brought it in on a late Friday afternoon and it was done by Tuesday. Jim explains everything and is very friendly. I would hate going to other places and feeling intimidated but that is NOT the case here. Has been a long time since I wrote a review. But have to say that Jim is a very nice guy and very honest. He in fact gave me a check at the end when his cost did not come up to his original estimate. The work also had no complaints. I referred him to one of my friend who was having a lot of problems with his car. Just took my car down to Jim's shop to have my bumper looked at, after driving over a curb and getting it knocked off. Within minutes of being there, Jim had most of the bumper reassembled. It was like watching a great magician doing a splendid trick, how quickly he had it back together. I also had what looked like some very large scratches on the hood from this incident, and to my surprise, Jim was able to just buff them into non-existence with some solvent... I though I needed a new hood, boy was I wrong. All of this while explaining how exactly he would repair the rest of it. Of course, some parts were broken beyond repair, and he will order replacements. It was very pleased with my experience at this place. My SUV was hit from behind. The insurance company estimated a total loss as well as the auto body they recommended. I don't believe them so I found Cambridge Street Auto Body on Yelp and called Jim. Jim was very helpful. He talked to the insurance company and arranged the tow. His estimate of repair cost is much lower than the insurance company's estimate. I ended up with a big saving from it. Also he fixed my car in a short time period even it was holiday season. This place is great, they do a great job with body work and repairs. My cars bumper was cracked and a fender was trashed. Cambridge Street Auto was able to replace the bumper and repair the fender making it look brand new but they were also able to blend the paint so the colors matched and didn't look off. Jim was great to work with and took great care of my boyfriends car! The window was cracked and there was rust on the top frame of the car. Safelite wouldn't repair it and Jim came to our rescue! I went to see him during my lunch break and he already had a plan to fix the window and rust. He has a great glass guy who worked with our insurance. Have brought 5 cars there for repair from trees falling on them to rd accidents and always come out better than expected. Like nothing ever happened.
