Quiet Community, well-kept, great staff. This is a lovely community nestled under established trees. Maintenance is consistently responsive, and the property is continually maintained (ie, parking lot resurfaced, new roofing on some buildings.) The complex is about 20 years old, so appliances are not new. Wish the layout in the kitchen was more conducive to cooking for family gatherings. There are some services that are not optional...the valet trash and bundled Time Warner cable/Internet technology package. Also they collect the water/sewer bill and along with it an administrative fee that I think is high relative to the bills themselves. Camden corporate doesn't support your safety. Forget hiring security they won't even install cameras as they say "cameras do nothing". They only care about one thing and one thing only $$$ The crime the last few months in the area has been outrageous. Our community has had to deal with threats, robbery, gun violence, racism, stolen cars, break-ins. And our response from management if you can even reach them. Call the Police. You own the buildings, it's not the police job to install cameras and have on-sight security, that's the owners job. Camden made 1.43 Billion Dollars last year. Yes with a B. Billion not Million. Talk about greed. Our only suggestion. Don't waste 1000s of dollars when you can rent a house for cheaper in the area and be 10 times safer. Your life or the life of a family member is not worth it. Just google for yourself, a man died just last year in the pool area. Is your child next, they don't care. read more

I am back with an update from my previous review on 1/14/2017, I have to say the customer service at Camden Stonecrest is outstanding! Shortly after my initial review I received a call to address my concerns it was immediately apparent that Cara's concern was making sure I was pleased with the apartment; after finally moving in the staff has gone above and beyond to accommodate me and my furry-baby; some adjustments were needed and now I believe Roxi and I will be very happy at our new home. I have not been here long enough to give the community a 5 star rating but my experience so far is definitely worth 4.5 stars! I would also like to add clarity regarding the online photos; the photos are showing a variety of different floor plans which explains why ONE single unit does not look the same as the online photos, this was not a misrepresentation on the community's part but more of a misunderstanding on my part. read more

WARNING LONG REVIEW: So the 5 Stars comes from the level of customer service I received here. I will give you a very detailed description of what living here entails. (LOVE) The Size of my 2 bedroom apartment. 1350SqFT, crown molding, & the office makes it feel more like a condo/house. My Fam & Friends all love how "homie" it feels. Both of the bedrooms are roughly the same size, so you & your roomie won't have to battle over the larger bedroom. You will have a walk-in closet, & ample storage space. (LOVE) The Location. Within walking distance to shopping, BARS, food. Uber never costs more than $5. (LOVE) How Quiet it is: Never had a problem with noisy neighbors. (LIKE) That Water, Cable, Internet is included in the bill. The Spectrum technology package isnt really a good deal, but its 1 less bill auto drafting out of your account. (LIKE) The fact that all maintenance is taken care of for you. However they don't always do the best job. Especially when it comes to patching up cracks or fixing the doors in our case. (Disliked/Didn't care for) The amenities are below average. The pool isn't as big as it looks on the website, and the gym equipment frankly sucks and the space is limited. You have to pay to use the theater room at night, and I never used it for that reason. (ABSOLUTELY ADORED) This is so super sad but my roommate died suddenly shortly after we had resigned our lease. The office didn't have to legally help me, but they worked with me to find a solution. This is extremely valuable when you're going through a terrible crisis. THANK YOU TARA!! I rated 4 stars as we've only been here for 2 months. My husband and I relocated from Florida to Charlotte. Hope (Leasing) was fantastic throughout the process from touring to application to move-in. Unit: For our first home in Charlotte, we are happy. We are in a 1/1. We previously lived in a 2/2.5 townhouse and quite honestly, this apartment feels roomier. There is plenty of storage for 2 people: small coat closet, laundry room with multiple shelves, walk-in closet and outdoor storage closet on patio! The unit was in a good condition (aside from a bit of a messy paint job on trim and doors.) The prices (including a garage, cable/internet and trash valet) is very reasonable, but keep in mind, I am comparing to Florida living! Neighborhood/Area: I haven't lived in an apartment complex since 2007 so I was a bit hesitant at first. We lucked out with quiet neighbors and overall I feel safe. Prior to move-in there were a few incidents that made me concerned, but I have not experienced anything that would make me feel uncomfortable/unsafe. However, like most large complexes with cars parked outside, there are concerns of car "break-ins" which I assume are kids looking for unlocked car doors. The neighborhood is clean and well-maintained. It is pet friendly but unfortunately not all pet owners clean up. If you aren't a pet owner, you won't have to worry about the minefield, but we've had a few "poop on our shoes" incidents. The location is fantastic! Lots of shopping, dining, bars and coffee places to hang. Plus, it's a short drive to Southpark/Uptown/NoDa which are areas we like to visit! Staff: I really have only interacted with Hope in the office. She is sweet (and professional) as can be! We had a battery issue shortly after move-in that we didn't think much about. When we mentioned it to Hope, she explained the importance and had maintenance over within 10 minutes! Other than that, I haven't had any maintenance issues but I always see maintenance staff cleaning and maintaining the property. I really like how they look into things if something seems out of place. Plus, they always say hello and have a smile! The community has a website and I see other office staff members that are interactive and quick to respond to resident posts. We are happy with our decision to make Camden Stonecrest our first home in Charlotte! read more

After only having been here a week I have only good things to say about Camden stonecrest. We moved from out of state so had to pick an apartment without ever seeing it. Hope was our leasing agent and answered all our questions and helped us figure out that this would be a good fit for us. We are happy with our choice...the complex is very nice! Our apartment is larger than we expected and everything is neutral colors and pretty up to date. We love the large deck and big windows. The garage is a good size as well. The pool and pond area are definitely highlights. The only negative is the noise from Rea road but that is nothing something the complex can prevent! I have lived at various Camden properties for years now and I always seem to be equally impressed by each community . Stonecrest is in an excellent location; right between shopping and dining. The staff here will make you feel as if you are living at a resort. Katy LeGrand the Assistant Manager goes above and beyond for her residents, making sure we get top grade A service . The property is ALWAYS in tip top shape , and the maintenance staff is extremely fast to respond. The BIG detractor from the complex is the NOISE coming from any apartment above you AND below you. There is a HUGE problem with the construction of the building(s) (in my opinion). Let me explain. I occupied a second floor apartment for just under 18 months while looking for a house to buy. There was a family living below me with a 2-3 year old child. When that child would cry (which was often), the sounds of her wailing reverberated up through the floors and heating/aircon vents up to my apartment. The father's booming bass voice certainly didn't help matters. In fact, the adult's conversations, while muffled could ALWAYS still be annoyingly heard. Now, for the BIG one. Most quality built apartments (and you will pay more for them), have concrete floors between levels, ensuring a nice, quiet environment for those who live on a lower level. Well, let me tell you, that Camden Stonecrest certainly is NOT one of those complexes who took the extra step to do something like concrete or some other sound deadening material between floors. After my first week of moving in, I discovered that I had moved below a guy that I called 'Big Foot'. I knew when Big Foot got up in the morning, and in the middle of the night to make a bathroom call. The sound(s) of his feet hitting the floor from his bed was enough to jolt me awake. I could easily track his movements though the day and night by following his very LOUD footsteps. Unfortunately for me, Big Foot wasn't one to sit in one place very long. In fact I many times wondered just what the heck he was doing up there, pacing back and forth for what seemed like hours. No hint of a lie here - I was sitting on my sofa one night, and his 'movements' above actually caused little white flakes of paint to come drifting down from my ceiling, onto my lap! Unbelievable right? Nope.. true. I introduced myself to him one day, and he seemed like a nice enough fellow, certainly not one to be purposely STOMPING around his apartment to annoy me. So, that brought me to the conclusion that the construction of the flooring is 'flimsy' and certainly not 'noise preventing'. When Big Foot finally moved out, it was a relief. I prayed that (his) apartment wouldn't be rented for a while. Unfortunately, several weeks later 'Mrs Big Foot' arrived, and we started the whole frightful scenario again. Now, before you label me a 'grumpy old man', let me tell you this. The complex puts up a nice web site for the residents, where they can ask questions, sort out lost mail, etc. On several occasions, there would be a post by a resident complaining about just what I've been talking about. One stated that she even went to the office staff for help, but of course, the staff can't control someone's living habits. Another resident even publicly (on the website) threatened their upstairs neighbor with calling the Police if they didn't cease 'Stomping around all day'. I have also had discussions with several other residents (from different buildings) who were not looking to renew their lease(s) for the same reason. There is just so much that the lovely staff can do about this situation, but as I said - it's a design issue with the buildings. I know this is long, but my stay there was just such a continual battle with noise, that I felt it necessary to give prospective tenants a clue. So, word to the wise.. If you are thinking about moving into Camden Stonecrest, do NOT get sandwiched in a second floor apartment, and get sound coming at you from above and below. A third floor place would be ideal, a first floor, not so much but certainly better than a second floor apartment. Much love to the great staff. Peace. read more

I have lived in this community for 14 months. It has been like living in a resort. With the exception of a few rowdy pool goers the experience has been excellent. Any needs or concerns have been addressed promptly and professionally. The pool area and grills have been my favorite feature. The community events have been fun, and through them I have met and made great friends. I'm transferring to another Camden community this week after changing jobs. Cara has made the transition nearly painless. She has been extremely helpful in making sure not only my move in here went smoothly, but also the transfer process to the new community is easy. My boyfriend and I have lived here for 7 months and I can tell you in my experience this place is as good as it gets for an apartment of this price in this area. I have lived in other apartments and usually - the service is terrible, the staff turnover every 2-5 weeks, and the place goes downhill instead of getting better. Here the staff care and there has been no turnover of the key staff. They planted flowers this spring, the service is fast, the staff does extras like give the residents little gifts or have breakfast to go. As far as the apartment goes, there is plenty of storage space, the kitchen is a wide galley which is nice and overall very well laid out. It feels like a condo and we have not had a problem with noise.The maintenance staff are quick to respond, and are very nice. Plus, if you are a bird lover, there are plenty here! Shopping and hiking are within minutes as well as great restaurants and free music! read more

We gave a four star rating for Camden Stonecrest. We been here since June and just fell in love with the apartment w/ attached garage. The apartment has good square footage with walk in closets. The grounds are maintained beautifully (lawns and flower beds) around builings and common areas. The people around us are very nice and we get along really well. The office staff (Mgmt & Leasing Consultants) and Maintenance crew are very professional. They are always inquiring if there is anything they can do for us. They are dedicated team anxious to making our stay at our new home the very best. We appreciate everything that they have done for us and look forward to a long stay at our new home.. Camden is a beautiful community, and we enjoy it over all here. The pool is nice, but the community is filled with a lot of children. For us we're engaged and young still so sometimes the pool is more of a "splash pad" then relaxing. We love the location, which is why we choose this community. We have a lower level apartment and the private entrance is awesome. No hallways or stairs for us. I don't like that you can't use the movie room without a fee. I feel as though it's an amenity to their customers, and we shouldn't have to pay to use it. Another issue here is the amount of theft since we've moved in. I know it's not technically the complexes fault, but they need to install a camera system at their entrances to cut down on this. I shouldn't feel as though every belonging of mine can't be on my porch that I pay for or I can't leave anything in my car in fear it won't be there when I wake up. Another issue has been our garbage pick up. We pay extra which is included in our rent for "valet service". If we aren't going to be home and put out garbage out a few hours early, they will contact you. Also the garbage is to be picked up and completely done no later then 10:30pm.... the garbage guy is picking up our garbage sometimes at 3am waking us up. We like it here besides the few minor things, but will probably not renew our lease due to the theft in the community. read more

This is by far the worst property I've ever lived at as far as apartments are considered. They spend no money on improving ANYTHING!!! Just fill the hot tub and fire pit in with dirt and trees. Wanna play pool in the club house? Pay $75. Wanna watch a movie in the theater? (Pay $50 after 4 pm {I think that's right} ) most complexes afford you a club house with many amenities. Not here. Especially what for you pay here. Not worth it. At all!!!!! read more

The few issues I have had were taken care of in a very timely manner. The location is great, a little bit annoying that you cant take a left out of the apartments but you get used to it. I lived at Camden Stonecrest for 7 years. It was extremely loud...you can hear the people above you as though they are in your apt. I had to report noise constantly and lost sleep from it. Your best bet is to be on the 3rd floor...or prepare to be annoyed. I was also told I had to move to another apt(an upgraded one) as they were upgrading every unit, which seemed wonderful, until I realized they were not paying for the moving truck to move my belongings from one apt. to the next. I had no problem switching to another apt, but seeing as I was forced to do that and I had been a very compliant resident you would think they'd help out...NOPE. I just got married and needed to break my lease by two months...well be prepared to pay a ton to get out of the contract even though they'll hand your apt. right over to a new resident and charge them as well. I had hoped that they would waive fees as again I had been an excellent resident....again NOPE. I do not recommend this complex. If you do decide to live here, know what you are signing up for. read more
