I had been through a root canal and two extractions before Dr.Golding diagnosed my real problem: a cervical issue, not a dental issue. What? Over $5000.00 with dentists, with odontists and with oral surgeons and my issue wasn't dental? It turned out that I had a mis-aligned vertebra in my neck that was causing what is known as trigeminal neuropathy or neuralgia, AKA "the suicide disease". I know why they call it that. I have had it successfully treated and have been out of severe pain for the first extended period of time in the last 3 years, for almost 4 months, now. Dr. Golding could have picked up a decent paycheck (as several others had) but instead, for the price of an exam, imparted knowledge instead of unnecessary treatment. They were all so polite and helpful which is so rare to find in doctor's offices these days. The entire atmosphere was just great. Throughout my entire time healing I had no bruising, no pain, and no swelling which I absolutely could not believe! All of my stitches dissolved perfectly and I had no persisting issues afterwards. My visit lasted approximately five minutes, and I was told the issue was TMJ -- which was completely unrelated to the reason I was there. There was minimal examination and no meaningful discussion of the actual concern that prompted my referral. The following day, I sought a second opinion from another oral surgeon, who was surprised that my condition had not been properly evaluated or treated. The difference in thoroughness and concern between the two appointments was significant. I then attempted to resolve the billing issue directly with the office. For nearly two months, I repeatedly reached out to billing and was told the person in charge was on leave. After finally getting in contact with her, she was extremely rude and stated the charges were non-negotiable, insisting that Dr. Golding did everything "appropriately." When I explained my concerns and the circumstances, I was told I would be sent to collections -- which ultimately happened. I was sent to collections for over $750 for this brief consultation that did not adequately address the medical concern I was referred for. Being sent to collections under these circumstances is incredibly disappointing and stressful. Patients deserve to feel heard, thoroughly evaluated, and treated with professionalism -- both medically and administratively. I cannot recommend this office based on my experience.

However, my experience with the administrative side of this office has been very disappointing. I overpaid for my surgery and was issued a refund check, which unfortunately expired before I cashed it. That part is on me. After finding the check again in mid-August, I contacted the office to have it reissued. Since then, it has been four months of calling, emailing, and trying to get a simple replacement check. I have been told multiple times that the issue is being taken care of and that I would receive a call back, which never happens. I've sent and received a total of 13 phone calls since August, plus multiple emails. I've also spoken with the practice administrator--who has been kind--but the problem still hasn't been resolved. I've been given conflicting information: that the check was mailed to my home and rerouted by USPS due to an incorrect address (even though the address they read back to me was correct), that the check was then supposedly mailed to the office instead and expected to arrive on 11/19/25, and later that follow-up would be provided--yet no one ever follows through. I even went in person on 12/8 to ask about the status, was promised a next-day update, and still received nothing. I received another update on 12/10 that the check would be sent to their office by the next week. Given that it's now the 21st of December, I don't think I'll be seeing this check by the end of the year as they mentioned. It should not take months to reissue a refund, and it's extremely discouraging to feel constantly overlooked. I genuinely wanted to continue coming here and recommending my clientele because my surgical experience was great, but the ongoing lack of communication and follow-through from the front office has been very disappointing.

I was very nervous to have this done especially because I had never been under anesthesia. I went in for my consultation on a Monday and they were able to schedule my procedure Friday of the same week. The entire team was so friendly and welcoming during my entire experience. Dr. Wilson explained everything that would need to be done very clearly and helped me to feel at ease. I opted for Exparel to be given during my procedure and it was definitely worth it. I experienced no pain during my recovery only mild soreness which was relieved with Tylenol. I highly recommend Dr. Wilson and his team if you find yourself in need of oral surgery. I went with a different place at first because it was closer to where we were living. Well, that turned out to be a mistake. I ended up having a bad experience there and finally switched to S&L. Dr. Ngo and his team fixed everything the other dentist had messed up. Right away I knew my wife had been right all along. I've been going to S&L for four years now and they really are the best dental office I've ever been to. Dr. Ngo has removed all my old metal fillings and replaced them with modern ones, plus he's done a couple of crowns for me. Everything looks and feels great. My wife has also been extremely happy with all the work he's done for her too. I'm almost 55 and I've seen a bunch of top-rated, highly recommended dentists over the years, both here in the US and a couple in Mexico. Nothing else comes close. One thing I have to mention is how good Dr. Ngo is with people who hate dental visits or get nervous about pain. His work is excellent, but it's the way he takes care of you that makes the biggest difference. For example, the way he does Novocaine shots is unbelievable. You barely feel it at all. Every dentist out there should learn his technique. With all that said, I do think the front office experience could be better. If the customer service up front matched Dr. David's clearly caring vibe, it would be 100% perfect. They seem very knowledgable and seem to know what they're doing when it comes to dentistry, but my concerns are more in the administration side of things. I changed jobs earlier this year and got new insurance with a common major insurance provider, and I needed to get a procedure done. I asked them what the procedure would cost and they gave me a quote, which was already expensive, and I paid that at the time of service. However, when I came in for a routine cleaning 6 months later, they said the insurance "didn't pay as much as they thought" and stuck me with MORE THAN DOUBLE their original quote. I looked into the insurance claim and called the insurance company myself, and the insurance company paid exactly what was according to their billing schedule. There were no surprises. I think the office knew (or should have known, because they're the professionals and this is what they do) that this would happen, and they dishonestly gave me a lower quote, did the service, and then stuck me with the even more expensive bill (but to their credit, they did give me a lower price than what they billed to insurance, but it was still VERY expensive that I was not prepared for). Additionally, I distinctly recall the procedure treated four teeth, but then on the bill and insurance claim, they say they treated six. Unfortunately, I don't really know how to argue this, especially because it happened so long ago. I suspect they didn't contact me about this issue earlier for this exact reason. Again, dishonest. Another concern with this dentist is that it's unprofessional that they use Zelle to get around credit/debit card transaction fees. Every merchant has to deal with card transaction fees, they shouldn't be up-charging that cost and they shouldn't be using Zelle, which is supposed to just be a peer-to-peer payment network. Lastly, as much as I love dogs, I don't think it's hygienic that they keep a dog in their office. In all, I started off loving this dentist, and very disappointed that they turned out to be this unprofessional and dishonest. I'm sad I'll have to go elsewhere from now on.
