This is a neat little find at the Southwest corner of Preston Avenue and Ridge McIntire Road. They have plenty of seating inside and some tables and chairs outside. The service is good--nice and friendly staff that seem to be into the coffee shop. Everything here is amazing: Coffees, Lattes, Pasteries, Croissants--yum!

Salad was very good the chicken was cooked perfect! The Biscoff Roll was fabulous and they also had an Oreo roll!

I've visited a few times over a year or so, and the place is always consistently a nice quiet place to work or relax. There are nice cozy armchairs in the back a couch in the front, and more traditional tables in between. They have a good selection of teas, coffees and cocktails. Their hot teas are served in a cute pot with a tea cup. Their pastries have been decent. Their cocktails are overall pretty good. They have a cocktail flight which is a decent choice if you're out with friends. They are quick with service. They do have a parking lot. It's a bit confusing which spots are theirs and it is a little limited but not bad. Overall, would recommend.

While I loved the coffee shop that previously occupied this space, I thought Camellias was fantastic and an amazing replacement. The space felt very cozy and there was plenty of seating. The bar was large and elegant looking as well, and the pastry case had so many delicious-looking treats. There are so many fun-flavors for your coffee - I ordered one that had hints of blueberry and lavender with a sweet cold foam on top. It was absolutely delicious and came in such a pretty glass. I also ordered a pain suisse, which was tasty with just the right amount of chocolate inside. I will definitely have to return to try more of the menu!

The food was really good! The croissants were buttery and flakey and the drinks were refreshing and unique!

Super cute little cafe a few blocks from Charlottesville's downtown / historic district serving up gorgeous, Instagram-worthy pastries and coffee. I happened to be in the neighborhood and was looking for a cozy place to read for a few hours, and Camellia's seemed like the perfect place to pause. I got a latte, which was beautifully crafted with the most intricate, gorgeous latte art. They had a ton of croissants with super unique flavors, many of which were Asian-inspired, including Thai tea, coconut and pandan, and Dubai chocolate. The croissants were almost too beautiful to eat, but, when I finally did bite into my Thai tea croissant, it was perfectly flaky and buttery. The custard inside had a good amount of Thai tea flavor, but it was just a smidge too sweet for my taste. Even so, the decadent croissant was a great pairing for a good coffee or to split with a friend. The staff was also super friendly, and the whole shop was incredibly cozy -- perfect for an afternoon reading session, morning coffee chat, or to work / study.

The breakfast and coffee were great. Really enjoyed that we could play chess and the employees are very sweet!

Nice seating, friendly service. WiFi and outlets available for studying. Coffee was pretty average on the whole. Added flavor could hardly be tasted in the iced coffee.

This might be my new favorite coffee shop in Charlottesville. Their pastries looked delicious, almost too pretty to eat. All the baristas were extremely nice. The vibe inside was cozy and surprisingly spacious. There's plenty of room to curl up in a corner doing work or get a table with all your friends to play a board game. I ordered a matcha latte with oat milk. I'm not a big matcha connoisseur but in my opinion it was a 10/10.

Super cute cafe with tons of seating options indoors and outdoors! The ladies were super nice. I got the iced dirty chai and the avocado smash without parmesan on sourdough. It was good. It is a bit pricey but what cafe items aren't lol. There's designated parking spots which are nice too so you don't have to worry about parking. I will definitely be coming back here.

My absolute favorite place in Charlottesville. The variety and quality of the drinks is incredible at Camellias! There is something here for just about everyone from flavorful coffee and tea to craft cocktails. I also highly recommend their lunch menu and unique pastries. The service is quick and the cafe is very cozy. I come here often to curl up and watch movies with my bf!

Cute new place we stopped in while visiting Charlottesville! The croissant was something new I've never tried and my girlfriend and I loved it. She said the coffee was great and my matcha was like a caffeine mango boost which was delicious. Great little vibe and such nice staff. Definitely give it a try!

Tried Camellia's for the first time. I had a hot Lavender latte. Sat outside at a table. The latte was very good and unique. Not sweet; which I prefer. The lavender seeds were a nice touch for added flavor however there were a lot of them; which I did not care for. When ordering, you get a pager then wait for it to beep to get your order. Nice interior, small bakery section on counter with beautiful-looking pastries.

I recommend asking questions to make sure you're getting what you want. Hindsight I would have added protein to the green tomato Benedict. Squeaky clean hardwood floors all over. Tasteful old furniture. Every staff member I spoke to was polite, courteous, and happy to help. The self serve stations for hot coffee, tea, and cold water was a convenient resource outside of the door. This inn appears to be made of several former homes that were turned into a campus of buildings making the Oakhurst Inn. It's not a single building. The small lawn in the center of the complex has benches, hammock, and a fireplace that seems welcoming and nice, but I wasn't aware of them until I left. There were a few problems during my stay. The inn requires guests to use valet parking which is $40 per night, not disclosed before my stay, and often required a long wait for the valet to return. This makes it hard to retrieve anything you need from your car. The front desk staff are often missing from the front desk - I had to wait 15 minutes for someone to come back and check me in on arrival. Likewise, the bartender is often away from station and you might wait 10 or 30 minutes for the bartender to return. There is no mini fridge or microwave in the hotel rooms. The pool area was extremely dark at night, making it tricky or dangerous to navigate. The pool water was lukewarm, not warm at all. The sauna was out of order and the doorway was small and obscured by chairs. Not accessible and difficult to find. This inn has no gym. The lobby is very small and has no seating for guests or places to hang their luggage, although the nearby lounge has a few leather couches and a fireplace that doesn't appear to be working. Not the most welcoming or convenient. Overall I don't think it's worth the hefty price tag and would stay elsewhere when I return to Charlottesville.
