Yummy place for a classic breakfast with friendly service and fun moose decor adorning the walls! I loved the breakfast burritos with sausage and they even changed up the cheese for me with American. The sour cream and the salsa were great on the side and the home fries. Husband enjoyed his meat omelette and even got a side of scrapple since he is originally from Philadelphia and said it was very good. We also tried their pancake with the cinnamon butter and it was very good! That butter sure added a nice touch! Coffee was on point and our server made sure we had all the right condiments before our food arrived and she was super sweet as well!

Came here for brunch after a hike and left refueled!! Staff super friendly, food was delicious, and the decor inside was neat to look around! The biscuits were to die for, and the omelette was cooked to perfection (not too oily, just the right amount of cheese!) Highly recommend!! There wasn't a crumb left on our plates :)

This diner is amazing and I cannot recommend it enough. From the outside it is unassuming, nestled in a parking lot for 18-wheelers. There is a small photo prop outside, which we of course took full advantage of before heading in. The interior is stocked with taxidermied friends, with the centerpiece being a full moose head. At the end of the meal the staff took a photo of our party, which was greatly appreciated! The were able to make space for our group of 15 after only about a half hour notice, which was very much appreciated. We were able to order a great variety, but started with the coffee. Free refills, sugars and creams at the table, what's not to love? The service was very quick and friendly, so we got a ton of coffee through brunch. I ordered a classic breakfast with a biscuit, fried eggs, and bacon. The staff was kind enough to accommodate our many dietary restrictions with substitutions and allowed me to get fried apples instead of potatoes. I am so glad, because those fried apples were so delicious! Loved having them as part of the meal. Everything else was excellent too. Buttery biscuit, crispy bacon, and well-fried eggs. Makes you hungry just thinking about it! I can't wait to come back here, maybe on a weekend to indulge in their mimosa deals ;) Make sure you make this place a stop!

What a great find on yelp. A small local restaurant with a moose theme. We walked in and were seated quickly and our waitress was quick with coffee. We ordered veggie omelette and hash browns with a biscuit and biscuits and gravy with extra crispy corn beef hash and eggs. It was all very well cooked and tasted amazing. The biscuits were so good!!!! The coffee was also very good. The moose decor is carried out in the art and even a stuffed moose head which makes for great photos. The also have a wall of first responder patches. If in the area a must stop!

This rates high for a great value for your money (at least for breakfast), which is why I give it 5 stars. They have a great local diner vibe; no tourists (except maybe myself) to be found. Lots of firefighters and police coming by as well. You can tell it's well loved by all the trophies and firefighter patches on the wall. There was plenty of space as well. It didn't seem crowded, despite a fair number of visitors. I got a simple but filling omelet, OJ and coffee. Price point was good. You pay up front. With most dishes $10 or less, its a great deal.

Wow! Highly recommend for great food + great service. Our group of nine ladies were looking for a hot meal in a dry place after camping overnight in the pouring rain. Found Moose's in a Google maps search and arrived on a busy Saturday morning. There was already a wait but the place was bigger than we thought. We had a great table in no time and were welcomed by none other than Moose. We mostly ordered brunch - the French toast & blackberries special was amazing and the biscuits are not to be missed. Jenny was our waitress & Amy's mom was working the register. Fantastic hospitality and home cooking = five stars. Thanks, Moose!

Unbelievable omikase, you need to try to shrimp shumai when you come here. It's on the formal side which I wasn't expecting but it was a pleasant surprise.

We had a nice experience at Moose's for breakfast this morning. The food was pretty good and the service was slow but friendly. We ordered a Cville Way and a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich with home fries. My view was the home fries were not good. They were kind of heated up cubed potatoes with no flavor or crispness. The sandwich was good. The Cville Way was alright. Moose's is worth a try if you are In the area.

Amazing food, service, and very entertaining owners! Fantastic experience all around! The French toast was fluffy and delicious.

Moose's is a great stop hidden in the picturesque countryside of Charlottesville. The hostess and wait staff were light-hearted and courteous. There was plenty of food to go around, I ordered the Cville way and a half order of the country biscuits and gravy. The biscuits and gravy were great paired with French toast topped with a delicious cinnamon butter. The home fries, eggs, and bacon were served on the colder side but otherwise I have no complaints!

Fantastic experience. Wife and I did a 2 night stay and enjoyed every minute. Although there are…read moreseveral buildings, we stayed in the "main house" which was so convenient. The bar, front desk, valet and pool just steps away. The staff were like family and accommodations very comfortable. Many thanks to Antonio at the desk/valet, Tyler the bar manager and Tyler Cupec Director of Rooms for making it a trip worthy of a not only a 5 star review but also a future return as well.

Oakhurst Inn is a clean, orderly, well stocked vintage inn in Charlottesville. My room was clean,…read morecomfortable, with nice furniture and the bathroom in excellent shape. Quality linens. Squeaky clean hardwood floors all over. Tasteful old furniture. Every staff member I spoke to was polite, courteous, and happy to help. The self serve stations for hot coffee, tea, and cold water was a convenient resource outside of the door. This inn appears to be made of several former homes that were turned into a campus of buildings making the Oakhurst Inn. It's not a single building. The small lawn in the center of the complex has benches, hammock, and a fireplace that seems welcoming and nice, but I wasn't aware of them until I left. There were a few problems during my stay. The inn requires guests to use valet parking which is $40 per night, not disclosed before my stay, and often required a long wait for the valet to return. This makes it hard to retrieve anything you need from your car. The front desk staff are often missing from the front desk - I had to wait 15 minutes for someone to come back and check me in on arrival. Likewise, the bartender is often away from station and you might wait 10 or 30 minutes for the bartender to return. There is no mini fridge or microwave in the hotel rooms. The pool area was extremely dark at night, making it tricky or dangerous to navigate. The pool water was lukewarm, not warm at all. The sauna was out of order and the doorway was small and obscured by chairs. Not accessible and difficult to find. This inn has no gym. The lobby is very small and has no seating for guests or places to hang their luggage, although the nearby lounge has a few leather couches and a fireplace that doesn't appear to be working. Not the most welcoming or convenient. Overall I don't think it's worth the hefty price tag and would stay elsewhere when I return to Charlottesville.
