Came in for the first time this afternoon and ordered a two piece fish and chips. It's now a toss-up between Barbara's in El Granada and Camelot for my favorite fish and chips in the bay. Camelot charges $19.25 for two pieces. Both pieces are big and freshly-fried, not too much breading, and the fish tastes fresh and tender. Their chips are what impressed me most: they are not just garden-variety French fries; they are proper, flat but not quite flat frites that are both finger-foodable and also forkable. Comes with tartar sauce and the squeezable ketchup bottles at the table were clean and filled. The restaurant has very cute English pub decor and the service is friendly and efficient. Street parking is easy nearby. Finish lunch with a catty corner walk to Mazzetti's for some derby cake! I'm so glad I found this place; I'll be back for lunch the next time I'm in Pacifica. A British vibe in Pacifica serving fresh crispy fried seafood and chips combos where you can choose from fish, shrimp, chicken or fried oysters, along several beers on tap. The decor is reminiscent of a British pub with wooden furniture and memorabilia lining the walls. We ordered the fish and chips combos that were served with tartar sauce. They even gave us additional tartar sauce without asking since we were sharing a plate which was much appreciated. The food was fresh and hot and the chips complemented the fried fish perfectly. Love this place! It's located in Pacifica in a plaza with the beach nearby. Been coming here for over 10 years. Love that the staff is generationally trained and keeps the food consistent! The ambiance is so homey and great vibes! Staff is always accommodating and friendly!!! The best fish and chips hands down. Every time I order the food is consistently crunch, juicy, and served hot! I usually order The Camelot which comes with one piece of fish with shrimp(3), scallops (3), and oysters(3), served with chips. Condiments are now on the table, which I like because I don't hesitate to ask anymore! And they added HP Brown sauce. Fits well with the theme and is delicious with my meal! I hardly ever go to fish & chips shops because frankly I don't like to encourage myself to eat deep-fried foods. Unless it's chicken or tempura or tater tots or Oreos. OK, maybe I don't have such strict nutritional boundaries. Regardless, I was taking a little staycation drive to Pacifica and really never walked in what amounts to be their downtown. There I most definitely found an old-fashioned fish & chips shop. Opened in 1969, it offers full-tilt British decor down to the red phone booth doubling as the restroom door in a relatively small space. The server was a Brit with a warm personality and conscientious manner, and the menu provided the usual selection of fish, chicken and seafood with the chips. Feeling self-indulgent, I went for the $19.90 Combination Fish & Chicken & Chips (photo: https://yelp.to/7SpcsxvJZf). It was quite a feast in a plastic red basket with a large cod filet accompanied by three chicken strips atop quite a pile of fries. Tartar sauce included. She provided a little barrel of condiments including ketchup, vinegar, and British brown sauce. Too much for me so I took half of it home. We ordered lunch to go as we drove to Pacifica for my husband's mother and it was finished very quickly after we arrived. We ordered the 3 piece fish and chips as well as an order of deep fried mushrooms. I also made notes for cooking condiments. Our order was absolutely perfect and when we got it to her home everything was piping hot and amazing flavor to everything. The young women helping us all were so efficient and cheerful. read more

DISCRIMINATORY I ordered food and beers over $120 worth, i asked to eat inside or even outside on their one table. They said they could pack it to go but there was 3 table opens WHILE WE WAITED and they server that i TIPPED said i could not eat the food at the restaurant. Got the food 50 minutes before they closed, the server told us to leave while we had 3 draft beers half full and said RULES ARE RULES. trashy business, san francisco doesn't need businesses that discriminate against minorities, this is OUR city. read more

This is a small fish & chips restaurant. Because of the Labor Day holiday the restaurant was full house. We were planning to eat at the restaurant but there was no table so we decided to have it to go. This restaurant been around long time. We ordered the 3 piece fish, crab cake, fries and onion rings. The fish was good, not great. Fries were not crunchy, kinda limpy. Crab cake was a miss. It just tasted like potato cake and no crab. I been here a number of times over the years. It's been a while but the food was always just delicious. I love the zucchini, shrimp and fries. I have also had the fish and fried mushrooms are super good too! I think it's a must try when it comes to fish and chips! Fresh fried food and a neighborhood staple. Please never change bc I love it love it love it. Not much seating but if you can grab a table sit and enjoy a drink and meal, they are rustic and old school which I adore. read more

Great fish and chips. Place is a hole in the wall with probably 8 tables and 4 bar seats. Place was full on a Friday afternoon, so I sat at the bar. They do a lively amount of togo orders, so the staff is busy and always moving quickly, yet they do an excellent job taking orders and making the food in a reasonable amount of time. I'm not in Pacifica very often, but I will definitely eat here when I am. read more

I was in Pacifica doing hair for a wedding and was looking for a snack. I just yelped what's in the area and this placed popped up and decided to give it a try! Fish & Chips are my favorite food to get whenever we go out to the coast! This time, we were out in Pacifica for my daughter's swim meet, and I took to yelp/google to fnd a place nearby - this did not disappoint! The fish was delicious - perfectly crispy, and not too greasy. The takeout actually also traveled well down the road 10 minutes for my husband. My only complaint is that there were just too many fries to eat lol - but not a bad problem! :) My younger daughter and I hung out at the restaurant to eat and had a great time - nice and quiet, and warm. :) read more

It's a cool little recreation of an English pub, not that I have first hand knowledge of that, but Pacifica has their long-standing spots. And this place is deco'ed and pinted for authenticity. So, this is not a 'bad' 3 rating. It's a 'It's fine. And I'd go back.' If you've got a Jones for fish n' chips, don't think you'll be disappointed. But I mean, it's all deep fried. And it's all frozen seafood. Adjust your expectations. read more

My partner got the lobster mac & cheese, which was rich, flavorful, and definitely did not disappoint. My food tasted like a large refrigerator Orida fish patty that was fried and large slices of potatoes that came out of the same oil. Being from the San Francisco bay area I compare all my sea food to that and have to say that I was greatly disappointed with the lack of taste even though I see that it was "handmade beer batter" dish.
