Definitely a locals spot for old people. Sharp Park Restaurant is not on any restaurant guides. That's the charm of it for me. There aren't a lot of these places left. The bar was full and no one was in the dining room. Empty at 6:30pm. The prime rib $35 (Fri/Sat only) comes with either soup or salad. Only Fridays will have the clam chowder. The warm bread is so good here. I love the generous butter tray. The soft butter spreads so easily over the warm bread. Instead of the baked potato, I always get the garlic fries at no extra charge. The prime rib is OK, a bit chewy and not aged or herb crusted. I had a hard time finishing it as it got tedious after a few bites. It tasted too plain and needed the au jus and horseradish to be edible. You figure the service would be better as I'm the only food customer. No. The waitress was talking to some customers at the bar most of the time. My water didn't arrive until after my food after I asked for it again. Regardless, she is a long time employee and I'll cut her some slack. Most of the time, she knows what I will order before I say it. I didn't see her elementary school aged daughter hanging out tonight. Sometimes she will wait on tables for her mom, bringing water, extra napkins etc. That's so cute. read more

After a weekend round at Sharp Park and a fan of all things golf course food, it was a no brainer to eat at the Sharp Park Restaurant. I'll preface that when I was junior golfer, I would eat here in between rounds during the summer so it definitely have nostalgic memories here. It's been probably 15+ years since I last ate here, and while the prices have increased, there's still something for everyone here to enjoy. Before we dined in, we grabbed some drinks at the turn and they had ready-made turkey sandwiches. The turkey sandwich doesn't come with anything and was kinda dry, but I dunno it was the right kind of snack to get me through the last 9 holes. We came in around 1pm and they I noticed a big board with all their specials. I saw the prime rib hash, and I knew I had to get that. For $20, it was a whole lotta food. It came with a side of eggs (cooked to your preference) and hash browns. For a hearty breakfast, this one is worth trying. It did need a little salt and some hot sauce, but I enjoyed the meal nonetheless. My girlfriend got the half tuna and soup (chicken tortilla) and the tuna sandwich was pretty good as well. Soup, wasn't a huge fan of though. The menu itself has plenty of burgers, sandwiches, and lots of breakfast plate options. If you are coming for an early morning round, they have breakfast burritos and sandwiches for around $12. A solid choice considering the convenience of being right at the course. Turns out they do a prime rib dinner special on Friday and Saturday's after 4:30PM, it's recommended to come before 7:30 because they do sell out. Will definitely be back to try this out! read more

We love the restaurant at Sharp Park! We have had several dishes over the years but tonight my golf foursome split two huge Bavarian Pretzels with two sauces - a hot mustard and a sour cream. Came here fron Sacramento. Used to live in Pacifica and have been here many times. There eggs Benedict was the best. I graded other restaurants next to sharp park. I was very disappointed with the food. We had 3 orders of eggs Benedict. 6 eggs all overcooked. All hash browns were to be crispy. None were. Sauce,still good, was different than before. Son had prime rib hash. The special. 2 bites and said uneatable. Service was good but never asked him what was wrong with his meal. That he didn't eat. My strong desire to eat here is now no desire to come back. This went from a solid 4 star to barely a 2 star.oh and for the people complaining about bathroom. This property is run by San Francisco. Bathroom is their responsibility. They haven't invested in the club house for 50 years. Oh we were only 2 parties there so there was no excuse for the food to be done right. High vaulted ceiling. Cozy, old school feel. Which new restaurants cannot do. They attempted it but to no luck . Ordered the prime rib, soup and side of fries. Vegetable came with meal. Fries were crispy and creamy in the center. Prime rib was definitely on point. Horseradish sauce was a bit creamy but did its job. Au just came on the side. Meat was done perfectly medium rare. We rewarded ourselves with lunch following a very muddy golf game today. Revised menu reflecting a 20% price increase across the board. This hasn't prevented people from eating here. After all price increases are the norm in the Bay Area over the last year or so. There's a daily special menu posted on the whiteboard as you enter the restaurant to your left. And also at your table. Today hubby went with the roast leg of lamb with mashed potato and sautéed mix veggies. Believe it or not I ordered something I've never had here. The roast beef dip sandwich. How do I want the meat? I said medium rare. It was a very generous sandwich. The bread was like a brioche bun but oval shaped. The meat was stacked high. Dipped into the au jus. Yum Yum. Choice of fries, coleslaw, potato, or mixed green salad. Menu offerings include breakfast, burgers, sandwiches, and lunch plates. My go to usually is the cheeseburger, the patty melt, or the Reuben. Our friends ordered the cheeseburger, the roast leg of lamb special, and the chicken parmigian special. Diners include both golfers and non golfers. My sister in-law brought me to this place and we ordered the Prime rib. It was great and it came out medium rare liked I ordered. The second time I came here with my friend and I raved about the prime rib. So, we both ordered the prime rib medium rare. Even the waitress repeated the order to us and she even said medium rare. Unfortunately both of our prime ribs were well done. So, we both didn't take a bite and asked the waitress if we could get 2 medium rare prime ribs instead. She did go to the kitchen but she told us they will not exchange it. What a disappointment! I mean if it was medium done I would have just excepted but it was well done. This is the best prime rib deal in town. For $31 you can get a prime rib Dinner with all the trimmings. Clam chowder soup or salad, prime rib, baked potato and veggies. Bren ages since I was last here. Used to be our go to place for special occasions or just a good ol' inexpensive prime rib dinner. Made reservations for my dad's birthday. Appreciated that they accommodated our large party. Pros - Staff were friendly, work hard, and attentive. Warm bread and butter served. All dinner entrees come with choice of soup or salad, vegetables, and choice of a potatoe (mashed, baked or French fries). Portions were generous and large. Cons - Unfortunately, despite how good the food looked, we all had a similar complaint - the food lacked flavor. My prime rib was a tad on the too rare side so it was placed under the broiler for just a bit but returned too cooked (very little pink). Big slice of meat served with au just and horseradish, but still no flavor. Kiddo said yhe fried chicken was hot and crispy, but the meat was dry. Don't know what happened, and so sad to rate it this way. Cream of spinach soup was good, especially with the warm bread but that's about it. read more

Cheap prime rib($29 to $35 depending on cut) with good portions. It looked delicious but too bad it didn't taste good. Bland and dry. The au jus did not help because it wasn't good either. I should of just went to BJ's or Lucky Chances for their Prime Rib $35-$37. Seafood Sauté (Cod, Scallops, Shrimp, Crab) was ordered as well. Not good either and seafood did not taste fresh. Couldn't eat it. Beautiful views of the golf course but the place looks a little run down and needs an update and cleaning. Perhaps a new floor instead of green carpet and a fresh coat of white interior paint to brighten things up. read more

Mmm. We were recommended that this is the best restaurant in town. Not sure that's true but it was quite good. Had lunch today (6 May 21) and enjoyed the old comfortable restaurant. Very 60s-ish inside and really needs updating of decor. Despite the oldness of the place, the service was great as was the food. Other than canned refried beans with my wife's carnitas, everything was excellent. I had pot roast which was great. $25 for two good sized meals! Give this place a try. I'm glad we did. read more

Interesting experience while trying to dine at this restaurant- Couldn't get any service or find anyone to seat us during dinner. The restaurant's in a hallway to the left of the golf course building. The hallway looks like a grungy high school locker room- extremely really worn down, with very dim and sad lighting. The entrance to the restaurant was so dark, almost looked like it was closed. The whole place was dark and gave off a suspicious, sad vibe. The atmosphere felt shady and grim. There were some people at the bar and a few at tables, but didn't seem like anyone was actually eating, just hanging out. Waited at the entrance for a few minutes but no staff showed up to seat us or anything, so we just left. Even at the entrance, the place smelled strongly of sweaty feet and had a humid "locker room" feel, probably wafting from the locker rooms or other golf related areas. After waiting a few minutes without getting any service, I left... 0 stars! read more

A successful return to delicious inside dining! If you didn't know already Sharp Park Restaurant at the golf course in Pacifica is open again for inside dining. Their first day was last weekend on April 11th 2021. Sheila provided excellent service. The kitchen provided breakfast plate perfection. Mother Nature provided a beautifully sunny day with just a bit of fog out away from the coastal course. The plate was a basic Two Eggs Sunnyside Up, Hash Browns, Bacon soft, and Rye toast. Along with some Earl Grey Tea and water. Maybe not exactly healthy for the body. But it sure was soul satisfying. Tables were all clean. So were the dishes and silver. Masks were on. Social distancing provided. Sanitizer was available. The open window next to the table made for a pleasurable light breeze on this warm, by Pacifica standards, day. Free WiFi for easy connected internet. Good price for breakfast in the area since it was only $14.2o before the tip. Billion dollar view with a warm crew too. A great way to have some afternoon breakfast on a lazy Sunday. I totally recommend Sharp Park Restaurant for a weekend breakfast or lunch. Yes , the bar is open too! read more

Okay, I love golf- came from a family of golfers, and have had quite a few great lunches and dinners at the golf course restaurant. Rounded up some friends who were also alone for Thanksgiving and heaed to Sharps, one of the few places serving Thanksgiving dinner in Pacifica (there is a dearth of choices in Pacifica which breaks my heart since I live there now). It wasn't terrible, but it wasn't good. The golf course is stunning but this place hasn't been updated since the 70's. It has a depressing nursing home kind of vibe. read more

Went here for lunch on a weekend. There was alot of people around for the gold. No wait for the restaurant. I got the chicken and waffles. The food was okay. The waitress said the waffle maker was broken so they gave pancakes instead. But later came back with waffles when the waffle maker was fixed. Service was wonderful, quick and friendly. We had breakfast here twice this month. There were four in our party today, and each of us ordered a different dish. Mine was the veggie omelet, the best I have had anywhere. Posting a photo of the omelet, which has plenty of my favorite vegetables, all fresh - broccoli, zucchini, green beans, spinach, carrots, and cauliflower. My husband's waffles were perfect, and my sister's french toast had her preferred powdered sugar, instead of syrup. My brother-in-law was very pleased with his pancakes and eggs. The food was okay but arguably one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. The staff was extremely rude and to be quite frank I've experienced better customer service at McDonald's. Not only were we rushed to leave but the bartender was also extremely argumentative. Disappointing a place with so much potential could be so terrible but then again what could you expect from a golf course. Last time I came, the service was a bit slow, but only because they had one server waiting on the entire place, not the servers fault at all. She always keeps a smile and a friendly attitude. This is a little spot I didn't know existed inside the Pacifica golf course! Not a formal place by any means, just a very casual, cheap and tasty place. The eggs Benedict is fabulous! One of the few places that is open on Thanksgiving, and I think they did a really great job with creating a warm Thanksgiving experience in a restaurant setting. You could get a full course meal for only $24, which included warm bread and butter, shrimp bisque or minestrone soup, tossed salad, your choice of several entrees, and your choice of dessert. I chose to get the roast duck which came with a yummy glaze and a side of baked potato and veggies. While the duck itself was cooked well, I thought the skin was just a little too crispy. The fiancee got a 14 oz prime rib which was HUGE and full of the delicious grisly bits that give the meat all its flavor. My future mother in law got the roast turkey that came with stuffing and gravy. I think the turkey was my favorite out of all our dishes. Each plate was a very big serving size, hence still giving you the "I'm so full" Thanksgiving experience with plenty of leftovers to take home. For dessert, we were only supposed to choose one item, but our waitress ended up giving me the pumpkin pie as well as ice cream, which went so well together. And on top of it all, you can choose either coffee or tea to be included with your meal. While I can't say that the quality of the food here is the best I've ever had, I do think the value for what you're getting is fantastic and on top if it all, the service was amazing. If you come a little before sunset, you get a good view of the golf course. Inside, the ambience can only be described as quaint and vintage, almost like you're having a meal inside your grandmother's home. With the crowd present too, you could tell this was a popular local spot with many people on the elderly side dining here. Overall, if you're not going to have a home cooked Thanksgiving meal, then Sharp Park restaurant should be a place where you make a reservation (and definitely make a reservation as it got really busy). Outside of Thanksgiving, I can't speak for the food or experience but I've heard good things about the breakfast menu. read more

We had my sister's celebration of life here. The facility is a bit dated but worked well for our purpose. Easy access from highway 1 and a large parking lot. We had about 90 guests and it was comfortable. The set up was early and gave us plenty of time to set up. Kevin had an appetizer menu which was fixed but plenty of variety and options. The food was raved by all. The staff were great. The bartender, RayAnn did an outstanding job and kept the lines moving and happy. As this was an emotional even for us, this whole experience was wonderful. I will book all of my parties there. read more
