I have been looking for a professional hair stylist o do my highlights for a long time and today I found it, his name is Lyndon. Lyndon is not only a great professional but also a very charming person. An image is worth one thousand words... So here is the picture: Thank you Lyndon, and the entire staff who was very attentive. Btw, I didn't have any coffee or tea, or wine thay was offered to me but thw coffee smell was delicious Update: After highlights over a month ago went today for root touch up and the color looks amazing it perfectly blended with the previous highlights. Lyndon is a master colorist. He also applied a product from Redkin (I think it's called "Shot") specially formulated for color treated hair to "revive" color and add more shine... The guest experience upon entering was wonderful! It's not the "old" Camelot. New ownership has made its mark on the rebuild, product assortment and culture. Having been to many salons all over Miami, I recognized and appreciated the cleanliness and warm welcome. It was truly a professional atmosphere where beauty and salon guest needs play the main role. My stylist Lyndon was a seasoned professional that took my naturally frizzy and bushy hair and gave it a miracle treatment that has lasted for weeks! He also entertained me as he is a natural entertainer/performer. He educated me on which products were best for my hair and how to use them without trying to "sell" me. I got a mani, pedi, and eye brow wax on a recent Friday afternoon. My nail specialist was good, although she picked up her cell phone and carried on a full conversation while painting my nails! She also could have spent longer on my pedi- it felt rushed. Perhaps she knew I was using a groupon (although I always over-tip anyway!). The eyebrow waxer didn't speak a word of English though, which made me nervous as I do not speak Spanish. I know this is Miami, but all clients should be made to feel welcome regardless of language. Because of the language barrier, I wasn't able to have a real consultation with the waxer and just had to prey for the best. CONS: staff smoking in front of the door, staff shouting across the salon, spanish-only. I wouldn't go back if I had to pay full price- it's just not enough of a "salon" professional experience. read more

I was gifted a massage here but the masseuse did not speak any English. I asked repeatedly to not use lotion but since they neither read the sheet or could speak English it didn't work. I also couldn't communicate what area's to focus on so all in all it was a sub-par experience. Also, zero privacy and a makeshift room for the massage. You get dressed in a shower, no cover ups and she did not leave the room. The shower/changing room was full of other people's things too. read more

I am a client and have been cutting my hair at this salon for roughly ten years. Once I began going, I realized that several of my friends had already discovered this secret and were attending as well! Although I don't cut my hair all that often, I have to say they do the best job I have ever seen! My stylist knows how to cut my hair adequately so I can wear it both curly and/or straight... and when he irons it, it's as if I never had curly hair to begin with. Perfect! I am also able to pluck my eyebrows here; I don't wax, but they do a great job with the tweezers. All wax/tweezing services take place in the back room (the spa area), which is incredibly relaxing. You can definitely fall asleep there; and if you're interested in spa services, they offer plenty of these as well. Prices are reasonable, I would say, overall, especially for a salon in the Gables. And the staff goes above and beyond the call of duty; they're extremely friendly! Great place to visit... watch out for Gables cops giving tickets on the street. read more

Great service, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff. Got my hair done by Lyndon who is amazing! He is very positive and radiates good energy, he also knows what he is doing. I visited Camelot Salon and Spa yesterday to get my 17 year old son a haircut for prom this weekend. Lyndon was recommended for men's cuts so I booked him. We arrived just before our appointment and DID NOT have to wait. (That is a pet peeve of mine at many salons in Miami). Lyndon was excellent with my sons hair (tends to be thick and wavy) and gave a fantastic cut! Not too short and my son was pleased. I must add that he is usually not happy about getting his hair cut but was very happy with this salon. While waiting for my son, I inquired about a color for myself as my roots were due this weekend. I have been going to another salon in Brickell for 5 years and decided to take advantage of being there and give it a try. Lyndon also did my color! I must say that I am pleased beyond imagination because my color is more natural looking and Lyndon explained that he was using Redkin color with less chemicals (or something like that). I had a blow dry and have already received compliments on how great my hair color looks. I would recommend Camelot for men's cuts and color! I will be back for sure! read more

It's very difficult for me to find a salon to cut my hair to my preference. I came in after seeing few women walked out with fantastic hair styles, made an appointment with Lynden, and couldn't be happier. Lynden is very personable, a true professional stylist, he washed, cut, blow dry my hair all within 45 minutes and I ended up with the best hair cut of my life. Sucks. $180 for fake balayage. I showed JAVIER a picture and he chose to cut my hair and do whatever he wanted to do to my hair. He missed spots, he did only the underlying hair. Some parts of the hair were yellow and orange. Does he know what balayage is? He curled my hair so I wouldn't notice how horrible it was. I never go to a salon. I always go to a friend of mine who did hair but since it was balayage I figured I'd go to a "professional". I have been here for a massage and that wasn't bad. I wish I could get my money back for my hair. $180 "balayage" and then $80 for his horrible hair cut. I've told my family to stop going here. HORRIBLE read more

I have been coming here for years to get my bails done and to get eyebrow and upper lip waxing. The best eyebrow waxer in Miami is here and her name is pilar. She has great attention to detail and is the only person I trust my eyebrows with. I have always called the day I need a wax and they have always been able to accommodate me without having an appointment. For eyebrow waxing it's about 20 bucks without tip. When it comes to nails, the manicures and pedicures really do last but they are expensive. Overall I love this place and come here anytime I need to get a wax or my nails done. read more

I was looking to treat my Mom and sisters with mani/pedis in the Miami area. I found them via google when I typed in best mani/pedis in Miami. Well, Google is not wrong. We had a wonderful time and they were nice enough to get some yummy champagne for us to enjoy. I was impressed with the cleanliness and the professionalism of the staff. They have the latest colors from the major nail lines. My manicure lasted a week and half and I'm still enjoying my pedicure. I was really stressed out at my job that I HAD the day before. I came in to relax and enjoy my one hour massage, manicure, and pedicure. (Travel City voucher that I used on Friday, April 13th.) First it was the massage. I've had a much better experience at other places and this lady made me feel bad about my body. My body is very much in shape but she was complaining a couple of breakouts that I had on my back and literally counted them (5) and then a few minutes later she said "yeah...it's all over your whole back like one big rash." I said "what!?" and then she said "yeah I'm not going to massage your back." I was pissed off and just got up to go look in the bathroom and I didn't see anything!! I looked really closely and I see like maybe 5 like she said in the beginning. They were so tiny and I knew where it was from because I never break out on my back. I told her "I barely saw them and my back isn't one big rash like you said. And that you made that sound a lot worse that what it really was! My back isn't even red. Those tiny breakouts are from sunscreen when I went to the beach the other day. Even though that kind of sunscreen makes me breakout, I'd rather breakout for a few days than to have skin damage" But still gave her a chance because I was determined to have a good experience. Throughout the massage she pointed out stuff that's wrong with my body. And asking me about my birthmark saying "what is that?" She made me feel really bad to the point that after I left the "spa" I went home and googled dermatologists. I use very expensive products on my face and take very good care of myself and my body and eat very healthy. And I am very well aware of my imperfections and do strive to be perfect but I know that's impossible. I'm a very nice person and tipped her anyway because I would just feel bad on top of feeling bad about my body. Overall, I thought during the treatment. "I am never coming back here ever again." Also, I don't like to say names but her name is Ania. Or something like that. On top of that I had to ask for a drink...twice. No one offered and on the voucher it said "enjoy a glass of complimentary wine." Luckily, I didn't care about the wine and I just asked for water. I have a blog and posted my review on my page since it talks about skincare products. And now gives reviews on spas. I'm going to the Mondrian next. I hear that's the best place. People forget that the majority of people own computers and know how to type about their thoughts and feelings. read more

i went into camelot last month and was really impressed. i was able to cash in a couptessa deal for a mani and pedi. it was awesome. haydee attended me and she was so sweet and really good with cuticles without going overboard or cutting me (like so many other ladies do). all the prodcuts were top of the line, essie and opi polishes and all the latest fall colors. they use great care and hygiene which is very important to me. i also saw a stylist that i know from elsewhere, shoni, who is awesome. i will most likely make it back to camelot. i really liked it! and my mani pedi lasted forever! read more

The hair wash was a little rough and challenging, because the woman did not speak any English, but I loved my cut and blow dry so much, that I thought I had still found my new stylist. I've been going to Camelot for years because the staff is fun, friendly, and always have good stories to tell. Luis does wonderful hair blow out's and styling and Lyndon does too. Yami the manicurist is amazing too. I just think that their prices for manicures are starting to get too high for no reason. I understand you have a high monthly bill to pay for overhead.. i totally get it... but i just don't want to pay almost $80 for shellac manicure and a regular pedicure plus tips. It's just borderline abusive. i' will periodically go back and visit and enjoy it, but it's not my weekly manicure place anymore. sadly. I've also looked up to see if they have any offers like groupons, but sadly they don't. :( read more

What good luck to chance upon this special salon situated in the beautiful city of Coral Gables. My hair, which can be blown straight in my home town of Atlanta, is a riot of frizzy curls while visiting this part of the country. I was sitting in the bank line, around the corner from Camelot and since there was only one teller servicing three lines of cars, I started a conversation with the lady in the next line. Asking her right off where the nicest, closest hair salon would be for straightening out my hair. Well, right around the corner, she said. How fortunate for me! I wouldn't go back to this place based on my Groupon experience. I got a Groupon for a facial and mani/pedi and decided to go with a friend. The facial was pretty mediocre, it lasted about 30 minutes with a 15 minute break in the middle to let the mask dry... no extractions or anything, I didn't even really like the products smell or feel. I understand that when you go with a Groupon you probably don't get the full experience but shouldn't they be trying to get customers to come back? Anyways, we had back to back facial appointments which was understandable but then they said our mani/pedi was both at the same time. They ended giving us the same mani/pedi person for both of us, so it took 2 hours to get it done. They should have told us that was the case, who has two hours to spend on a mani/pedi? Also when I said that they should have told us they didn't apologize at all and just shrugged and said there are only two of us total. Typical Miami crappy service attitude. Just had the full body facial that I brought from mycotorra.com, the daily deal site for locals in Miami. I wasn't too sure of what a full body facial was but it sounded enticing...It was a hit, absolutely loved it. Virginia who is the masseuse for Camelot, scrubbed every inch of my body, leaving it smooth and my skin feeling baby fresh. I then entered a very cool looking cocoon which steamed my body for about 20 minutes, it was extremely relaxing and just what I needed! After that the vichy jettees sprayed a series of hot and cold water all over the body...it was awesome...felt like I was in a car wash...then Virginia moisturized all my skin with this nourishing cream that was oh soooo incredible...i fully recommend this treatment, it was totally different from anything I have ever done before. While I was there, I also got a new haircut and color with Luis...overall, it was a great day at this salon and spa! read more
