We had been loyal customers of Camillo's for many years, but unfortunately we've noticed a significant decline in both service and craftsmanship since the change in ownership. In the past, we trusted them with several pieces of jewelry, but more recently we've had items returned to us damaged. The most recent experience was especially disappointing. We brought in pieces that had previously been repaired there because the repairs had failed and stones had fallen out. Instead of standing behind the work, the current owner attempted to charge us for the stones that had fallen out and that we had provided for resetting. To make matters worse, he questioned whether the stones were even purchased from their store and suggested they may have come from somewhere else. This was surprising and frustrating, considering we've used Camillo's exclusively for years. It really highlighted a disconnect with the customer relationship we thought we had built over time. After years of loyalty, we've decided it's time to find a jeweler who values long-term customers and stands behind their work. Unfortunately, we will not be returning to Camillo's. read more

I called many fine jewerly places trying to get someone to fix my pearl ring, a lot of business don't do repairs with rings that have pearls When Camillo's answered they told me to bring the piece right in so they can take a look at it. They were so amazing fixed my ring right away and looks good as new! Very nice place. Got my engagement/wedding ring here. Staff is friendly and patient and knowledgeable.

My family has gone here for years so my husband purchased my engagement ring from them. I went in to replace my CZ stone right before getting married in January and the stone was replaced by a much larger stone than my original one. (They did this bc they didn't have one my size in stock and didn't want to wait ) When I picked it up, they didn't say anything about the stone size and when I mentioned it, the employee tried gaslighting me into believing it was the same size. I took my ring and left because I was getting married that weekend and needed my ring. Less than 3 months later my stone falls out of the setting. I did not trust them anymore so I took it to Jeff's down the street. They informed me that whoever "replaced my stone" filed down the prongs in order to fit the larger stone and has completely ruined the prongs. I now have to pay $350 to replace the prongs as well as buy a new stone that is the correct size. The staff was rude and pushy and we will never be back. read more

So, while I loved the original redesign of my ring, I did not love what happened less than a year after the redesign. THE MAIN DIAMOND FELL OUT. Gone, lost forever. As I mentioned in my original post, I have been married for 25 years, and this never happened. When I went back there to see if they had a copy of the ring appraisal for my insurance (I was told this would be mailed to me when the ring was redesigned, but never got it)... they not only did not have the appraisal, they had no record of the ring or me as a customer. The new guy who "helped" me said Karen was no longer there, and Dan Camillo (who I know would remember redesigning my ring) wasn't there either. They said they had a whole computer overhaul and that my data must have been lost. They did however pull up my glowing 5 star review here on Yelp, and because of that offered me a "deal" on repairing my ring. It was outrageous. They wanted nearly $2750 just to replace the Diamond itself, and then wanted to charge me to hundreds more to repair the head and prongs. I was so distraught. I felt like that was way too much, and told them I'd talk to my insurance and get back to them. What I did was purchase a loose diamond on my own, and then took my business to a different jeweler. I was treated with respect and compassion, and given a much better price. They also pointed out and corrected flaws in the work that Camillos did, and probably caused the Diamond to fall out. Bottom line... Camillos should have stood behind their work and repaired the ring for free. Period. read more

This used to be a great jeweler. Went there for years. Save yourself grief and go to Jeff's or if you don't mind a bit of a drive (20 additional minutes) Cassio's in Hughes Landing is awesome for both jewelry and repair. I traded in a Presidential Rolex for a two toned Rolex. I knew I was not getting the greatest deal but wanted a two tone as it is more casual. Within a week I was asking for mine back as this did not keep time. Of course he told me it was gone already. After three months of trying to get them to repair the watch I gave up. I believe it was a very old watch. Each time my husband and I checked time before bed and put the watch in the winder. Each morning it was off exactly one hour. Took it in with these notes each time it would be kept a week or so and it would come back the same way. Finally he insisted it didn't keep time because my watch winder was no good. So I threw away my old winder and spent 800$ on a Wolf winder. One of the best on the market. It still loses the same hour a day. Having been through 3 months of not having this issue repaired I have now given up and plan to take the watch to Cassio's where I hope they can repair to where this watch is once again self winding and keeps time. This was an expensive mistake. I had already began taking my business to Cassio and wish I had driven the 20 extra minutes. He has an extremely grouchy repair man who he insists is always correct. I suppose it's hard to find a repair man. The owner of Cassio's is an awesome jewelry creator and repair person. The owner's wife who helps you is simply delightful. read more

My father brought in my 1963 all original 5513 submariner to these crooks while I was working in Iraq. When I returned the original bezel was lifted and replaced. My father did not notice the original had been removed but upon comparison of photos the switch was obvious. I'm filing a lawsuit as well as a complaint with these (repeat) crooks with the Attorney General Of Texas. My watch is very precious to me and the estimated value of the stolen bezel is between $2500 and $3500. It's no wonder they made a quick lift. If anyone else has had similar things stolen or ripped off from these crooks please reach out to me directly and I will happily include you in my complaint with the state. To the old man who lied to me and my father's face... God help your soul. Only you and he know how many times you've done this but if you wanted a hairs breath of a chance at hope you'd find my bezel and contact my father. What an awful place. Absolutely no concern for customer service. Just got engaged and dropped the ring off for sizing. They mentioned they were closing for two weeks but they were open through Friday. Went to pick it up 3 hours before closing and they had closed up already. No phone call nothing. If they were concerned about their customers they would have at least called and given us an option to pick the ring up. Went to pick up the ring two weeks later and evidently they had ordered lunch in for everybody and were hardly bothered to help as they were more interested in their food. They clearly do not take their business seriously and do not care about their customers and their work is low quality and sloppy. Do not trust this place with your jewelry. read more

I called to have a wedding ring resized for my fiancé. The ring is a simple Platinum foundation with diamonds inset and was having it resized from a 7 to 6. The estimate was $45-$50 on the phone which I thought was reasonable. I dropped the ring off on Friday and the lady at the counter said it would be done by the next day. I confirmed their hours with her, they closed at 4pm on Saturday and are closed Sunday & Monday. I received a call the next morning informing me the ring was finished! Great, I thought. My fiancé and I had a busy day and arrived at their location no later than 3:50 pm. They were closed. We were disappointed and confused since I confirmed their hours. When we went to pick the ring up on Tuesday, my fiancé asked if their posted hours are correct. They said yes. She explained when we showed up at 3:50 pm Saturday they were closed. A few of the staff were watching the transaction of me paying the bill. Among a few comments we heard were, "well you should have called we would have stayed and waited for you", followed by, "well, why would you call if our hours are posted", "it was so slow all day", with a final comment of "that's what happens when the owner says lets go home". We were a bit aggravated by the early closing and now we were in disbelief. The early closing was one thing but not a single response was we apologize for your inconvenience. I did review their online reviews before choosing them on a recommendation from my fiancé's co-workers. The reviews do contain some more than questionable treatment of customers, but I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt. The original estimate was $45-$50. The final bill was $81.19 a 38% to 44% miss in their estimate. Needless to say, we will not be going back. Less than satisfactory customer service and not even close on the estimate - no desire to do business or recommend them. DO NOT TAKE YOUR JEWELRY HERE!!! I took my wedding ring in to have it sized and they tried to rip me off. The lady took it to the back room and returned to tell me it would cost $200.00. When I asked why it would cost so much, she informed me it was because "it was platinum and platinum cost more to size". Mindful I was going DOWN almost 2 sizes. My ring is not platinum. I know because I was there when it was purchased from the jeweler. They stated "they tested it" and put these HUGE scratches on my ring. Where to begin??? I was looking for a Jewelry Store that can soder charms onto two bracelets I had as gifts. I called to see if I can see what there price was when I spoke to someone telling me he would charge me $4.00 each charm as long as I would let them know that "The Boss" said it for $4.00 a charm. I took it that day and made sure I told the Blond lady that "The Boss" said I can have my charms added onto my bracelets for $4.00 each, She gave me a stern look and went to the back I guess to make sure I was saying the truth as if im some kind of thief? Anyways needless to say I got it for that price. So when the day came to pick up my items I also went ahead and brought my own chram bracelet I wanted to add six charms to. Without asking what my price would be I left. So coming to today I picked up my charm bracelet only to find out that this blond lady totally jacked up the prices $43.30 the exact price I paid to have ten charms put on. When I told her why it was for that price she just told me that they usually charge $12 to put in charms? And just brushed me off TOTALLY RUDE!!!! I own a Trucking Business with my husband and would never do this to a customer!
