Styrofoam in 2025? Please make a more responsible decision so my family can get takeout without guilt.

The food, service and ambiance are great. Why are you still using unrecyclable Styrofoam for your takeout? Please do better at caring for our planet! https://www.yahoo.com/news/articles/beachgoer-raises-concerns-photo-decades-053000268.html

Complimentary salsa as we waited for our food...just the right amount of spice and great flavor.

This past weekend my wife and I were running errands and decided to lunch at one of our local haunts...Camino Real serves great food whether for breakfast lunch or dinner! We went in for lunch were seated quickly by the super friendly server and promptly asked for our drink order. While we decided on what we were going to eat another helpful face brought out complimentary chips and salsa something never expected but always appreciated when it happens. They were fresh chips and great flavorful salsa that was not too spicy at all! The place is cozy with themed decorations and they do have a side room for overflow or private parties, overall the place was clean and inviting! I ordered the carne guisada plate with flour tortillas beans and rice. The carne guisada was so tender and the sauce was tasty with some veggies in it. The beans and rice were both great compliments to the dish. My wife went for the enchiladas suizas and the sauce was creamy and enchiladas were stuff with tender shredded chicken. Her beans and rice were like mine beans hot and not too salty with fluffy Mexican rice! Over all we were completely satisfied with our food and look to returning to try other items from the large menu! If you want local, tasty, satisfying food that won't break the budget you have to give the Camino Real Restaurant a try!

Great prices and great breakfast tacos! This place is in an old strip mall which usually means good food. $2.50 for a Barbacoa taco was a steal. Carne guisada taco was also a good choice. Everything was fresh and had good flavor. Four tacos, one coffee, and one soda for $17.50 was a bargain.

This restaurant has been here forever. It's the real deal if you're looking for delicious and inexpensive food. The decor is a little outdated, but the food did not disappoint. They bring you some chips and salsa and the chips taste really homemade and it's corn, which means that I could eat them since I'm GF. Salsa was fresh and spicy. For main we had steak and eggs and camarones Al carbon. They are both very big dishes to the point that I thought I would not be able to finish my plate, but it was so good! As you can see in the pictures there was no shortage of shrimp. They were a bit overcooked, but the flavor was there and I really loved the char. To complement that we had some Mexican rice, salad and cheso. Service was friendly and fast.

Tucked away in a small shopping center. You walk in and seat yourself. Everyone one here was very kind and had great attitudes. Good was great at a decent price.

Really enjoy this 'hole in the wall' Tex mex place! It's incredible! Great service, good Tex Mex with extensive menu! The margaritas are fantastic. I had the avocado relleno with suiza sauce. It was great. They also serve brunch so pancakes and breakfast tacos. Bacon is really good!

Will they be open Easter Sunday 4/20-25?

Will they be open on New Years Eve and New Years Day?

Do they have a "to go" Charge - Fee? if so how much?

    No, they don't.

1st Question where does Camino Real get their Chips? they are soo good. 2nd question is there anyway I can get a Diet Coke with their Lunch specials? or is there a upcharge?

Hi, thank you for your question. We get our chips from Fiesta tortilla company made fresh daily. Lunch Specials only include tea sweet tea and lemonade. All other drinks are charged at regular price. Hope that answered your questions. Thank you for…

On The Lunch Specials can u substitute Borracho Beans instead of Refried Beans?

Yes! I have done that a couple of times.

And don't come expecting cheese or sour cream -- the only add‑ons here are cilantro, onions, salsa, and guacamole. It's a stripped‑down menu, and they stick to it. The tacos are solid. The beef isn't anything remarkable, but the chicken is tender, moist, and genuinely flavorful. The quesadilla is the sleeper hit; the baked cheese gives it a deep, savory punch that outshines the tacos. And if you're hungry or just want the best value, the burritos are enormous -- stuffed right up to the tortilla's structural limit. For our entrées, we had Brian's Alambre Plate, the Chicken Mole, and the Line Cook's Snack Plate. Brian's Alambre Plate combines sirloin, pork pastor, house-made chorizo, and bacon with peppers, onions, and melted Jack cheese. It was good and certainly offers plenty of variety and flavor. For my personal taste, though, if I am primarily craving meat, I prefer Eldorado's Carne Guisada. There is nothing wrong with the Alambre, I just think the Carne Guisada is the stronger choice for me. The Chicken Mole is my wife's favorite, and unfortunately it is only offered as a special late on Thursdays. The house-made mole has a rich, distinctive flavor that works very well with the chicken, and it is easy to understand why she looks forward to it. The Line Cook's Snack Plate was also a great combination with two flautas, a choice of Chicken Caldo or Texas Red, Eldorado rice, and guacamole salad. It is a nice option when you want a little bit of several things rather than one large entrée. Overall, another very enjoyable meal at Eldorado Cafe. Good food, plenty of variety, and enough different flavors on the menu that everyone can find a favorite. We certainly have ours!

The sides were great as well and complemented the steak nicely. I had the Watermelon Agua Fresca to drink. It was refreshing, but not my favorite watermelon drink I've had. Overall, I loved the steak and was impressed with the quality of the food! A couple of things could be improved, though. Some of the light fixtures hang way too low, so if you're tall, be careful! Also, the back-of-house area spilling into the restaurant space feels a little odd and takes away from the overall atmosphere.

Somehow I'd never been despite living so close, so I was excited to finally check it off my list. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful, and their famous foyer is just as pretty in person as everyone says. I came with a friend, and we grabbed seats at the bar first while waiting, but I definitely recommend making reservations because this place is BUSY, even on a weeknight. Parking can also be a bit of a struggle since they have a pretty small lot. I had to make a few laps before I finally found a spot, so definitely give yourself a little extra time. They do offer valet, and I believe you may also be able to park in the lot next door after hours since it's their sister restaurant, but don't quote me on that haha. Their margaritas are also really good and definitely on the stronger side, so they were a great way to start the meal. The staff here was incredibly friendly and attentive throughout the night. They even walked us to our table and later showed me where the bathroom was, which I thought was a really nice touch. As for the food, it definitely lives up to the hype. It's on the pricier side, but everything tasted incredibly fresh and was well worth it. We ordered the enchiladas, which were delicious, and the shrimp was probably my favorite part of the meal because it was so fresh and perfectly cooked. I can definitely see why this restaurant has been around for so long and has such a loyal following. It took me way too long to finally come here, but I'll definitely be back. One thing I'm noticing as we do these is that you often write reviews that are genuinely useful--not just "food good/bad." You include things like reservations, parking, what to order, or where to sit. I think we should keep leaning into that because it feels very authentic to your style and makes your reviews stand out.
