When I arrived, the shop looked more like a hangout than a place of business. Mechanics were grouped up talking about tattoos and different countries while customers' cars sat untouched. Others were standing around scrolling on their phones like they had nowhere to be. The front office staff weren't any better -- they were too busy having loud personal conversations with each other to pay attention to the customers standing right in front of them. When I finally got acknowledged, I started asking basic questions about my car and what was going on -- and they had absolutely no answers. Not a single person could give me a straight response. It wasn't just "I don't know" once or twice, it was every single question met with confusion, shrugging, and passing me off to someone else who also had no answers. For people who are supposed to be trained automotive professionals, the lack of basic knowledge was shocking and embarrassing. They diagnosed my car with a failed EVAP purge pump and labeled it a required repair -- but couldn't tell me when the part would arrive, IF it would even arrive, or what my options were in the meantime. The part is on back order from the dealership with absolutely no ETA. We're talking potentially months before they might get it in, if they ever do. And yet they still had the nerve to charge me $123 for a diagnostic that led to absolutely nothing actionable. My bill also had extra charges -- shop supplies, fees, taxes on labor -- that no one could explain when I asked. I was brushed off and made to feel like an inconvenience rather than a paying customer who deserved basic respect and answers. This place is unprofessional, disorganized, and completely incompetent. Save your time, your money, and your sanity , take your car anywhere else.

We replaced the tire with my spare donut from the back but as those are only supposed to drive 50-70 miles and we had 300+ miles left to go, we needed to buy a longer lasting spare tire or replacement tire. My AAA - freakin useless, my liberty mutual roadside - useless, called every tow company, tire shop and roadside service in eastern Iowa, and in Illinois... not like we were in the middle of nowhere. Found one roadside that would bring a spare tire but they wanted $1,000 card hold..... We spoke to 30+ different places within that hour... Tires24 was literally the only place somewhat on the way that was open late. Someone answered right away, the guy on phone was patient and nice, assured us he would take us, even though we couldn't get there until right before closing because we had to drive below speed limit on the donut. When we got there, Lamont (the gentleman working) greeted us and understood and sympathized with our stressful trip there. He replaced the tire efficiently and was super professional and welcoming. The cost was surprisingly affordable, we weren't there very long at all which was great because we were exhausted. Lamont saved our asses and we highly recommend anyone in the NW illinois area call these guys first for tire and auto issues.
